“This is one of those places that ticks all the boxes and gives you an unforgettable experience. The attention to detail with every aspect: greetings, service, food, drink, atmosphere; all were tended to with great care and love for the art.We went for our wedding anniversary which happens to also be my birthday. We went in *expecting* an extravagant meal, and we were still absolutely blown away. The views alone are breathtaking. Pair that with the best service and food I've ever received, and you're still just touching the surface of what they offer at Ascend. Even their bread service is worth chatter. We've already decided this is our forever spot for our anniversary moving forward. Can't wait to try one of their Holiday Prix Fixe celebrations. Thanks so much to everyone there, especially our servers, for giving us an unforgettable experience to talk about for years to come.“
“Love love love this place - amazing service (twins Jake and Justin, Larry and everyone!!) ) was wonderful the food outstanding an the atmosphere fabulous.. visited for a family retirement dinner and felt special all evening - Thank you El Groucho!“
“I wish I could have given our server more than five stars! She was absolutely incredible.Kid-friendliness: Our area was full of families with children and it was a beautiful experience! Sometimes we are moved to an area where there are no other children and I always worry about my autistic grandson being a bit much for other patrons. I did not feel that way here. I was very much at ease because it was definitely a kid friendly environment.“
“Me and my business partners have come here many times and we obviously spend a lot of money here and always tip well on top of gratuity. One of our meals was totally messed up twice in the same night. The waiter tried to make up an excuse for the mistake. The corrected stake was said to be out in 8 minutes but took 18. Our friend ended up not even wanting the stake at that point and told them to not even bring it out. We normally don’t really mind mistakes, but at this level of dinning you want to get what you’re paying for. They only comped the 1 meal before we asked to make it right for us. They then took off gratuity which was $120 on a $800 bill and we still tipped after. Just a bad night. Should have comped more but we wanted to leave at that point.“
“This place is great. I was introduced to it by some friends, and not only does their food taste delicious, but the interior design is also pleasant to dine in. The girls do an amazing job hosting and serving. I now pop in here once in a while during the day for their $10 Wagyu Burger & Fries with a 7oz beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, special sauce, and fries. Believe me, you cannot beat the price or the quality anywhere in town!“
“We’ve been to BT numerous times and always enjoy it, the food is amazing the service is impeccable! This latest visit was a bit under previous experiences in timing of dinner delivery and the temperature of the steak was incorrect. With grace and humility, the manager came to visit the table and work to correct the situation. Justin went above and beyond to correct and we greatly appreciate his and Kelly, our server, efforts to correct the situation. They more than compensated for the kitchen error. Mind you, we’ve been many many times and this is the first blip and correction! By far the best steak in town and stellar service! Will always recommend to anyone who asks. Thanks Justin and Kelly for the service, hospitality and enjoyment of our special dinner out.“
“We had a delicious dinner at the Met. We started with the steak medallions which were seasoned great with a generous portion especially for two people. For dinner I got the lobster which was huge and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were delicious, as well. My husband got a steak combo which came with a filet, American wagyu filet and a Japanese ohmi filet, all 4 oz. It was a great way to taste the difference of all three and was a ton of food. Came with choice of side.We got a birthday creme brulee for dessert which was a great finish.Great scotch and whiskey selection and a huge wine menu. They have valet parking but since it was Sunday we took advantage of free street parking. Reservation was easy to make online. Love our dinner.“
“This is a steak house that knows exactly what they are doing and how to do it. All meals are all-inclusive in that they come with salad, steamed veggies and your choice of potatoes (mashed or crispy) or rice pilaf. If you are looking for a solid steak dinner at a decent price then this is your place.“
“A treasure of disappearing Seattle. It's the restaurant the parents on The Wonder Years would've gone to for a birthday dinner. They'd have left the kids at home and gone to the bar side, and if your party is of age I'd do the same, then if you don't drink. Only like a year left to go there before the building closes! Great steak, delicious salad, decent cocktails and terrible frozen vegetables served by lovely people.“
“Two recent dinners shared with family were delicious, beautifully presented and enjoyed. I like that the atmosphere is quiet , good for conversing, servers are pleasant and attentive and the welcoming hostess is charming and gives the impression that she is really happy to see you! (Their calamari appetizer is the best!)“
“We're from Texas so places like Jimmy Mac's feel like home for us. Not many places let you throw peanut shells on the floor. Just laid back family friendly atmosphere. I was craving a steak and potato. I definitely got what I wanted. My husband wasn't too happy with his piece of steak. But our waiter took care of us.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly“
“I had the tasting menu. Bateau is of course famous for their wide menu of beef cuts, but since I was eating alone, most of them were too big. And it turns out (they don't tell you this) that the tasting menu gives you two different cuts, one more tender, the other more tasty.Surprise! The non steak dishes were as good as the steak! Nice variety, nicely composed. They only have four red wines by the glass -- I wish they'd have more -- but I've got to say that the Cahors was one of the best I've ever had, and the St Émilion was also good.“
“We went for an early dinner on Saturday after seeing a movie. I got the March special - Langostino pasta and my mom got the seafood chowder and scallop risotto. We each got a drink - I got the ginny hendricks and a huckleberry martini. For dessert we had the creme brulee and chocolate souffle to go.Food: chowder was delicious - flavorful and good sized chunks of all the seafood. Risotto and pasta were absolutely to die for - lots of lobster in mine and four HUGE scallops in my mom's. The sauces were so creamy and flavorful. Both desserts were tasty as well, even after being transported home! The white chocolate ice cream with the souffle was my favorite, but the amaretto flavor in the creme brulee was also noteworthy.Drinks: both of mine were really good and stiff! There were some cucumber seeds in the ginny hendricks, which were annoying but not terrible.Service: we had Preston, who was very prompt, helpful (we had trouble choosing between the prime rib, the stroganoff, and the dishes we ended up getting. I hadn't even noticed the specials until he mentioned them!) and overall a great server!“
“Great place!Overall the food was amazing, the ONLY thing that I can "complain" about would but the scalloped potatoes with cheese? I cannot remember the exact name.Flavor is perfect, although, it is a bit oily (the oil from the cheese sets on the top).Flavor wise, everything was amazing.Great service.Cheap prices.Amazing atmosphere.“
“I had a fantastic time at the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. In addition to our initial order, we decided to share a steak, and our server went above and beyond by kindly splitting the steak in half and serving it on two separate plates. It truly enhanced our dining experience.“
“This is one of the DB’s that happens to be on the water, unlike the Bellevue location. It doesn’t necessarily have an unobstructed view of lake, Washington, as it is sitting in a marina, but if you get the right table, you can enjoy some of that atmosphere. The sun doesn’t shine on this side of the lake at happy hour/sunset, but it is still a lovely location in a lesser known neighborhood. The food and drinks are the typical very pricey steakhouse level that you will find.“
“Great service and good views only if you’re right by the window. Danny’s is in the Marina so you’ll have to be strategic about getting your dream view. It’s pricey and there’s no more happy hour so check out the menu and get right with things before arriving. We went for 2 drinks (fabulous, $18 each) and delicious de-shelled chunky crabs legs $32, 8 peices and after the auto gratuity it come out to $90. That’s why u gotta claim your view and say yes to the delicious gratis sour dough bread and butter if you hang at this PNW rich white guy staple“
“My NY strip steak was excellent, but not what made my evening. Dining alone, not drinking alcohol, having requested a well-lit table to read my book, I was certainly not their most profitable customer of the night. My server, Nikki, made me feel like I was the most important customer in the place. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.“
“4.5John Howie Steak | Bellevue @johnhowiesteakJohn Howie Steak in Bellevue provides a luxurious dining experience marked by attentive service and delectable flavors. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and guided through an evening of culinary delights. To kick off our meal, we enjoyed a variety of warm bread from the bread basket, setting the stage for what was to come. Our server surprised us with a refreshing soup as a palate cleanser, a thoughtful touch that enhanced our dining experience. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a standout, perfectly balancing sweetness and saltiness. The tableside Ahi Tartare was equally impressive, boasting refreshing flavors and a delightful crunch from the pine nuts.Moving on to the mains, the salmon plate showcased expert cooking techniques, delivering a perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh dish. Despite initial reservations about the Filet Mignon’s appearance, its medium-rare preparation revealed a tender and flavorful interior, complemented by heavenly mashed potatoes.Though tempted by dessert, our satisfied appetites led us to reluctantly pass.Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the fine dining experience to anyone who enjoys steak“
