“My family brought me home some bagels from here I requested a plain one to put to the test. I'm from New Jersey and have not had a decent bagel since I left. Let me tell you the plain bagel from this place gave me a taste of home the texture is very close and the flavor is right on point. If you haven't tried these bagels yet what are you waiting for. Hands down the best bagels around. I'd highly recommend trying them out if you have never been to NY or NJ. Next I'll compare them to Kelli canoli in Snohomish that says they import them from the east coast. I'll still call Whidbey bagel company the best around since they make the bagels in house and not shipping them across the country. Keep it up I'd love to stop by and eat inside one day.”
“We hosted a welcome reception for out of town family and friends in the outdoor tent, about 50ppl on a Friday night, and the Thirsty Crab was great!! Live music, excellent beer, and amazing staff! The build-a-brat food truck was delicious - definitely order early, the line can get long. Venue worked really well for our group, but good to note that there is a inclined gravel walkway to get to the bar.”
“Pickles is a community spot and one of my favorite memories of this Saturday on Whidbey. Got the my little piggy and added cranberry sauce ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was delightful— and gone so quick I didn’t take a photo! The product is phenomenal, and so are their pickle stickers ?Parking: Located beside a grocery store— blink and you’ll miss it! But the parking lot is not often busy so when you circle back around you’ll find it. ?”
“Love this place! Coffee is always on point and the staff is always friendly, which counts for a lot in my opinion.Worst way to start the day - being served by a barista that asks how you're doing but quite obviously isn't actually interested in your response - and then hands you a terrible latte.Best way to start the day - going to Southern Cross Espresso!!”
“Went out exploring and found this place! An absolute gem the beer was delicious and on point! I had the Porter with candy top and it was insanely good! The owner was awesome and friendly to chit chat with. I highly recommend this place”
“Best coffee on the island!! The workers and owners are local really bring the welcoming feel! They also offer free whipped cream for pie from next store. 1000/10 recommend stopping stop if you have the chance!”
“We ate here the weekend of the 2023 Island County Fair and were pleasantly surprised to see there have been some needed improvements since our last visit. The service has always been fast and friendly, but the establishment has been given a much-needed refreshing, is definitely cleaner, has more effective lighting, and the food was very good. We will eat here more often as we live nearby.”
“Nice mom and pop place. Laid back atmosphere with a roomy dining room. We had fish and shrimp tacos, and fish and chips. Tacos were tasty if the corn tortillas could have been doubled up to hold up better. The fries were rather uninspired (if acceptable) but the cod was very well done. Tasty breading that wasn’t too thick was really well done. Very nice place.”
“My husband misread the bill that would have given our waitress a 85.00 tip. She ran into the parking lot to catch us and fix it. Honesty goes a long way these days. I recommend everyone stop by. Good food and chill atmosphere.”
“The strawberry sundae was fantastic with big chunks of strawberries, and the onion rings were great too. The cashier was friendly and helpful in letting me know when the inside area and the kitchen closed. I plan to visit often and soon :)”
“Crisp and juicy tacos packed with flavor.I've heard great reviews for a while now and I was blown away with the food. Service was amazing. I had no idea what to get and the gal was extremely helpful in explaining my options.Value is 10/10. I will be back”
“Update: OMG you have to try Zereshkpolo and cornish hen kabob. Fantastic service as alwaysVery good kabobs, very nice service. One of the best persian kabob places in Seattle”
“As a Celiac (highly allergic to gluten), it's nice to go to a restaurant where you know everything is safe and there is no cross contamination. While the only menu option is a bowl, there are so many great options to put in your bowl. It was actually hard to just pick 5 toppings. If you order in a paper bowl, you take your food with you and can eat right away. If you get a hot stone pot, they will take your bowl and make it hot! This takes about 5 minutes, but worth the wait. We also got a side of the potato salad. Super tasty! The place is pretty small, so my only complaint is when it's full it feels crowded. Can't wait to go again!Dietary restrictions: They have lots of vegetarian options, and everything is gluten free!”
“The food is fantastic, absolutely love this place. We love the family platter deal (any 4 specialty rolls plus a large order of karage), but usually get the karage to go (4 rolls is a LOT of food here for 2 people).”
“Great evening. Delicious dinner and dessert, all out on the deck with a fantastic view of Saratoga Passage. No reservations, though, so you would need to get there early or be prepared to wait.Update: went there again and it's still an outstanding culinary experience. The chef(s?) do an amazing job of balancing flavors. May have to wait to get it but if you're a serious food lover it's worth it”
“Not a fancy place but the food and service was great! Not a lot of gluten free options and the owner (I presume) said he has tried to make gluten free options but it’s difficult.Regardless, our friend who was gluten free still was able to order two delicious apps (beef & hot sour soup). Really reasonably priced and everything was great. I hope over time they make the atmosphere match the quality of food and service. Will 100% be back when in the area. Thanks so much for sharing your talents!(FYI in order: must order beef noodle soup, sweet and sour soup, and any of the dumplings!)”
“It's probably one of the best Thai restaurants near the Mill Creek and Bothell area. I have only tried three of their dishes, the Phad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Pad See Ew. All three were amazing. Plenty of flavor and freshly prepared. There are plenty of portions in each order. The cost was fair. Nowadays, with everything costly, understand the higher than norm prices. The business owners are feeling the high costs. I don't feel like I overpaid with the food I got. There are several reasons, there is no way I could make this type of dish even if I could find a video on YouTube. Plus, it's better to just order authentic Thai from a real business. Also a pleasure to reward the taste buds from time to time and support our local businesses.”
“Food ***** Service ***** Ambiance **** While we enjoy Indigo and have never had anything that wasn't top quality, we gave Azul a try. Since they offer Carnitas, we decided to both order Carnitas. We were a little disappointed when the Carnitas turned out to be a bit on the bland side spice wise and had not been cooked again on the grill just before serving. We have found the best Carnitas at Julio's in Bothel.”
“The owner is the friendliest of guys. He has a great personality and you can tell he really enjoys feeding people great food. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. You won't be dissapointed.”
“I've been here before and I'll say it again, this place is quite honestly perfect, the staff respond fast to any requests we have and the food is great! Sean was our server and if you come here I recommend dining with him!”
“I like their desserts like their halo-halo and corn halo-halo. Their enseamadas are ok. The food they serve seam to be filipino style however their sisig was way too sweet and their bbq tasted like teriyaki. The food didn’t remind me of any true Filipino dishes.”
“Such a great find! Their baklava is probably the best I've tried till date. Visited multiple times and tried a bunch of other items like Manakish, Klecha, Pita, Naan and everything's been a hit. The service is also fantastic. Will keep visiting for sure.”
“If you're in town, this is a must. Order the khachapuri for the best mix of dough and cheese. It is absolutely mouth-watering. The dough is perfectly browned in the stone oven, and the cheese is an amazing combination of several cheeses that pair wonderfully with the dough. The owners are friendly, and the place is clean. I will definitely return when I'm in town.”
“Had a few beers here and wasn't very impressed. I think the IPAs were a bit too bitter for the flavor that accompanied it. I am a fan of hoppy/bitter beers, I know a lot of people write negative reviews complaining about something being bitter when it is a bitter beer... The ones I tried just didn't have the balance to justify the bitterness.Overall, I don't think this is a bad place for a beer but there wasn't anything that set them apart and made me want to come back. Prices and atmosphere were reasonable.”
“Our friends recommended this place. When we came in for brunch, it was pretty packed and we were told the wait was about 15-20min. Wait time was about 15. Staff was super friendly. We ordered the chicken fried steak with the chorizo jalapeño gravy with extra cheese grits & crème brûlée french toast. Our meals were on point, grits were amazing! Our waiter even hooked us up with extra gravy, which was a nice touch.”
“This place opened up a little while ago, and it's been a delight since day one. The energy of the shop is great, good music, lights, lovely plants and ample seating. There are free board/party games to play if you're hanging out a while. The menu is extensive, and there's lots to try! I personally love the sakura milk tea (seasonal), wintermelon, royal thai, brown sugar... honestly everything I've had there's great.”
“My god. This is the best pie in the county, in the state, maybe the world. It's magic. You've gotta plan ahead a little and order online, or keep an eye on the Instagram in case there's something available last-minute, but holy moly is it worthwhile.”
“We had an hour to kill and were looking for non-$tarbucks coffee. This place was certainly stumbling across An Experience. The cafe is plastered with signs that say things like WE ONLY SERVE THINGS AS DECRIBED ON THE MENU NO EXCEPTIONS and WE DO NOT TAKE ORDERS WHILE YOU ARE ON YOUR CELL PHONE and DO NOT WAIT HERE FOR YOUR COFFEE and DO NOT INTERACT WITH HERR OBER. Being in curly script ratchets up the passive-aggressive level. I have the kind of humor that finds this hilarious, but also, it's a little offputting: my expectation is not that a coffeehouse is going to have an environment similar to Customs and Immigration at an airport.Fortunately, every human we interacted with (don't worry! We did not interact with Herr Ober!) was very friendly and helpful. The clerk recommended drinks that we enjoyed and the coffee was great with a distinctly different toasty flavor to the roast that I enjoyed. The expectation seemed to be that customers linger and take our time, which was also pleasant. On a Sunday afternoon the pastry case was empty, which was a little disappointing, but also understandable. The bottom line is we'll come back next time we're in the area, but we'll also keep giggling about the signs.”
“Phenomenal chicken sandwich and wings. The fries are just frozen krinkle cut, but who is coming here for the fries. I can't think of a better chicken sandwich in town.Service was also wonderful and very warm.”
“Love Nosh! Been a fan for years. They make great use of the space having tables inside and a great outdoor space. We love the pasta rosa and Singapore curry noodles!”
