“Came in today with my father, step mom, and my son. It was a great experience. Parking is a bit tight right off lacey Blvd, but there is a decent gravel parking lot in the back. After entering the restaurant we were promptly greeted and sat down. I ordered the steak fajitas which were fantastic. Nothing is better then the sizzle of fajitas being served to you on a cast iron skillet. The meat was perfectly cooked alongside green and red peppers, onions, and cheese melted into it. Also had rice and beans which were also great. I chose flour tortillas which paired wellMy father ordered the chicken fajitas and they were equally as good.My step mom ordered a chimichanga which she said was huge and filling.I ordered chicken enchiladas for my son. He wasn't happy with the sauce, but he's not accustomed to the green sauce which came with it. I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas myself and shared my fajitas with my son and he was super happy with them.Definitely make a stop at this Mexican restaurant as I'm sure this is the best one in town. Highly recommended.Parking: Parking is limited in front and directly behind. You'll most likely have to park in a gravel lot behind the restaurant. It's not that bad, but could be more difficult for anyone with a walker or wheelchair.“
“For context, I am mid-30s person that put into Google that I was looking for a place for a nice lunch. Google recommended this restaurant and bistro so I went over to check it out. The good news is that the food is good, fresh, and well priced. The bad news is I was not prepared for the fact that the restaurant is on the second floor of a retirement home community center. I spent a fair amount of time wandering the halls and trying to figure out where the place was because it's one big circle. When I did make it how I was supposed to sit down or where was not very clear I'm sure it is much clearer for the people who live there. There were seats that were reserved and no specific area that someone coming in was supposed to go to to get service. I was also the only non-retiree in the entire establishment and had a sense of intruding.Ultimately I figured it out but it was very awkward. I felt like I had found my way into a boutique hospital that I wasn't supposed to be in, and someone was going to tell me to leave at any moment.“
“The best fish ever. Cook it fresh to order. Friendly staff.. from the chef to the owner Shelly and wait staff. Greets you with a smile. The place clean doesn't smell of fish. Not salty or greasey. Took my friend she is from Louisiana..she been going back with her hubby and her family. God continue to bless this place. It's worth the drive and the food prices too are great. ?? ?“
“We had an outstanding experience dining at Gardener’s last night. Our food was excellent! We enjoyed everything we ordered, including the wine, and dessert was the home run! Service and ambiance were perfection. I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong date but they were accommodating and got our party of 4 in. We can’t wait to come back! A few noteworthy menu items: The halibut, clams, brussels, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh daily special salad, and all of the desserts!“
“The food was fantastic. It arrived quick and looked fresh and appealing.I ate there and it feels strange eating in a gas station. But I was fine with it. I will say, there was some interesting folks hanging in and around the place. I had no trouble, but feels a little off putting.I will be back for food again. Most likely take out“
“Busy day, over crowded because of St. Patrick's day. We were repeatedly asked for tips for the entertainment, one that we didn't get to see and the music group was loud and very hard to understand the words so it wasn't enjoyable for us. Then we waited too long for the bill. We hadn't been there in a few years and we had never had these issues so I hope it was just the overcrowding and waiting. Good memories so I will go back.“
“What a fantastic find! I am so rarely impressed when I go out, but Chicory was absolutely incredible! So inspired and inventive! Everything was absolutely delicious! My taste buds and soul were so happy. Had the scallops, carrots, smoked potatoes and biscuits. I cannot wait to return and try more of the amazing menu! Service was wonderful.Very sweet husband and wife owned place. Only regret is that I hadn't tried it sooner. What a gem! Thank you Chicory!“
“The food is amazing! But be aware if you are ordering via UberEats or other delivery services. For some reason they do not look to see if you order 2X of the same item :( Many times you will only get one of the item) Yes, I still rated 5 because there are mistakes made in hospitality and the food is amazing.“
“While out shopping with some friends, we decided to stop and get some food at the farmer’s market. I felt like seafood and got the Tuna steak with coleslaw. Tasty, filling, and fresh!! Service was fast and friendly. Excited to try more items from their menu.“
“I'm always on the hunt for good fish tacos. Dockside nailed it for me. I do not care for tomatoes or pico de gallo. Instead, Dockside uses a delightful mango salsa.I was shocked at the size of the portions, and the spicy kick.Definitely worth the price. The best fish tacos I have had in Olympia.“
“Nice place for a work lunch or casual date night.I ordered the Oyster House Dinner. The oysters had a nice texture, but needed something seasoning wise to really shine. I probably should have asked for Tabasco sauce. I usually get a Caesar salad with pan fried oysters, and maybe that's a better combination.Atmosphere is a lot like a nautical themed Red Robin. It's on the water and it has a nice patio for warm weather.Staff were attentive and helpful. For the same price I think I'd rather go to Hearth Fire.Parking is usually available. Kids are welcome, that do have a kids menu. The restaurant is one level and pretty accessible, although the parking may be a challenge.“
“Sunday brunch reunion with my cousin from NJ, whom I haven’t seen for over 2 years, was wonderful. I chose Anthony’s for our meet up due to the lovely location on the water. What a wonderful view from the table to the waterfront. The restaurant is clean, the glass is clean and the bathroom was impressive. Private stalls with their own sinks! Honestly, I am impressed with the goofiest things, but that sink in my nice, spacious stall made me happy! ?The service was excellent, from the initial hostess greeting, to the personable waitress, to the helpful busser. Very impressive. And finally: The Food. They start you off with a basket of blueberry coffee cake with honey butter. It was smashingly delicious! So much nicer than breadsticks! Sweet, warm with a hint of cinnamon….such a nice way to start off. The clam chowder creamy and tasty. My cousin order the Smoked Salmon Scramble and was well pleased. My Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly, with a gorgeous portion of ham hidden under the perfectly prepared poached eggs. The fisherman’s potatoes that accompanied the plates were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, and seasoned well. Truly a great experience, both culinary and esthetically. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Olympia.Dietary restrictions: Looked liked they offered gf, vegan and other options.Parking: Excellent parking in front which was nice. So hard to find parking on the street sometimes, so it was nice to be able to just park without worry. And it’s free.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps inside and outside for wheelchair access.“
“Anyone who avoided the New years bash because they didn't know the band missed a fantastic show. Ian & the Soul Purpose are truly a special gift to our little island. Don't skip their next show, they deserve better. Added bonus...Thomas was an extraordinary host.“
“Doing a short road to from Portland to Seattle and needed lunch- the best answer is not to get off the freeway and drive into Olympia - nope, stop here- quick on and off the freeway- the food is really good, the portions are large and well priced. It's Friday so, while the steamer clams looked great I went for the fish and chip special. Comes with a couple of pieces of fish, fries, slaw and a cup of clam chowder- all pretty great. Partner, also had a cup of chowder but, attempting to set a good example had a half salad and it was also good and a very ample portion. However he was casting an envious eye at my, probably less healthy but yummy plate. Being a more than amply serving I did share everything but the fish- nope all mine. With a good tip as yelpers always do- under $40.00- and, since it's a road trip enjoy the super clean bathrooms. An added benefit is the very short drive down the road to the Nisqually delta bird reserve. Even if you just drive in and take a short walk around the headquarters building it's a great way to get out of the car and stretch. So, a great meal and a visit to the bird reserve. Do yourself a solid, give these nice people your money - and say hello to the birds.“
“I went on April 2nd at 6pm and the male waiter was super nice but didn't even open my menu before I'm asked what appetizer. Then when it came to order, our orders were switched and screwed up three times and my son wasn't told some of his order wasn't available until after they were serving the rest of us. Then we had to wait for the last meal to hit the table to start eating which was several minutes after. And no refills of buscuits or water. I guess you have to ask for forks napkins and water .“
“Have been here multiple times, this last weekend most recently. It is a great spot, and the food is good, well presented, and tastes fresh. I love sitting outside on a nice evening, so looking forward to summer again! Have always had incredible service here, with friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. We will be back - great go to place for local fresh seafood!“
“I got the land and sea dinner. My steak was very tough , and I could hardly eat any of it. But the atmosphere was nice, with a view of the bay. Our waiter was awesome and even brought my little puppy a bowl of water. She was in her backpack carrier and was allowed to sit at the table with me. I'm disappointed about my dinner, my salad came out with it, instead of beforehand and my steak was not very edible, especially for the price.“
“I don't leave 5 star reviews. I'm not easy to impress at 5-star level. That *needs* saved for the best of the best, otherwise it serves no purpose. This restaurant is the finest steak I've ever ate in 40 years. Good beer. Eeeeeextraordinary service. Memorable experience for a lifetime. Ben did great, as did the very young man at the front with brown hair. The team coordinated well, the Tomahawk was so good, my gf cried (she likes food okay?). It was her birthday. I tipped well but will be sending a gift in the mail for this wonderful, literally perfect experience. One of my best friends runs the hottest restaurant and bar in Kailua-Kona. He's famous. He would also be proud. Good jobs men, you deserve something special. As a man who's grown from homeless shelter to making millions (as a business owner), I know how hard it is to find good help. The owner is going to want to retain these kids. They are kids...the need trained, but keep these kids. They have a myriad of personality characteristics both good and bad, but with the right teacher...I see a lot of potential.I will be sending a card with some cash. Good workThank you for making her Bday special, Ben door dude, and rest of restaurant-team.“
