“Food was delicious. Service was meh. She forgot part of our order and wasn’t around for refills. We had no ketchup, but I felt I would be inconveniencing her if I asked. The place was cold, other diners were complaining also. I don’t think we’ll want to come here again.“
“It's a great cafe. The burgers are delicious, the fries, onion rings, and tots are crisp and fried to perfection, and the breakfast choices are fantastic. The waitstaff members are all friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. They have a terrific frequent visit program. After 7 visits, you get a free entree for each entree you order. And they offer Senior and Military Discounts! The only downside is that they are not open after 2:00 PM.“
“What a great place! The service, the view, the food, everything was perfect. We enjoyed seating outside in the evening sunshine. We had the cheese fondue which I highly recommend. Finished with the chocolate fondue, it was a delight! I can't wait to go back again.“
“I absolutely love this place! Cannot say enough good things - 90% of the food I've tried has been a 10/10. The biscuits and gravy - both types - are my absolute favorite but their desserts are amazing as are the hand-pies, wraps, and burritos. Definitely recommend to anyone who is plant-based, but also those who are not - my partner eats animal products and he loves this place too!“
“Well executed bar eats w many things grown in-house or made from scratch, including the dough for their buns and peppers for their chicken spice mix. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and it’s elevated to say the least. Their Smash burger is BEST BURGER in town, and their fried chicken sandwich beats out State & Central by a few degrees of magnitude. Great local beer selection as well.“
“Don't let the outside fool you. This place is located inside a pretty dingy looking convenience store. It's not the kind of place I'd pick to sit down and eat.But man is the food good! I'd compare it to Eastside Big Tom's burgers but for a much better price. Plus you can stock up on supplies while you wait for your order.Seating is limited, I usually get my food to go.“
“Really wanted to love this place! Nice BBQ joint, fun eclectic atmosphere, all the fixings for a good BBQ meal. The food was pretty good, a little dry. And they got part of our order wrong (ordered 2 chicken breast dinners, got 2 1/2 chicken dinners, but didn't check until we got to our picnic.) But enjoyable, and I will likely give them another try next time I drive through.“
“Can't speak about the food, but our bar server (she has been working there for over 10 years and recently did a trip to Ireland) was fantastic and very friendly. We were passing through and stopped for a quick beer. I had the Amber ale. Yum!“
“Out on a drive to not much on a sunny day and was in the mood for some greasy dive grub. Searched burgers Olympia and this was one that came up and a friend with me who wanted breakfast. Called and placed an order for takeout. Burger was nice and sloppy all over my hands with a decent sauce and homemade greasy real fries. Friend said is Denver omelette breakfast was plenty. Possibly try this place again when I’m the area.“
“Cynara happens to be one of my favorite places on Olympia. I didn’t know that Iron Rabbit was the same owner and I wanted to give it a shot as I have passed by it many times before. The food was great! I loved my iron burger. The wedge potatoes weren’t soggy or too big. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got the garlic ones and the only thing I suggest is to crush or mince the garlic instead of the whole garlic clove, but still very good and it comes down to personal preference. Presentation was great! My dinner partner had the Irish beef stew which just needed a tad bit of more salt, but none the less still very good. We will definitely come here again. The atmosphere…meh…doesn’t match the food, but not bad. Also, definitely get the membership to collect points, it’s worth it!“
“Ordered the chicken wings and the combo #2. Pad thai with curry chicken. The pad thai was good, they put tofu in the pad thai. So next time I go, I would tell them no tofu! The curry chicken didn't have a curry taste to it at all. More like I guess coconut soup, if I had to put a taste to it. It was not bad, just not curry. The wings....would not get again. Small, dried out and tasteless. But hey, I am at a thai restaurant not hooters. All in all, I like this place and I plan on going back!“
“This place is amazing, we had a huge group and our server Ashely was over the top amazing! The food was better than great and they kept the refills coming on the fresh brewed tea! If pics are worth a thousand words .. here’s a novel of excellent proportions! Highly recommend bringing the whole family as the kids meals are deluxe!!! Seriously you won’t go wrong with anything!“
“Don't let the appearance of this place put you off. It's definitely got a "dive bar" atmosphere but the menu has a large variety of choices and the food is really good. Daily food and drink specials, nightly events like Bingo, Trivia, or open mic etc. Plenty of tv's so a good place to catch sports, and staff there knows their stuff!! Hubby and I eat here quite often!“
“What a fantastic find! I am so rarely impressed when I go out, but Chicory was absolutely incredible! So inspired and inventive! Everything was absolutely delicious! My taste buds and soul were so happy. Had the scallops, carrots, smoked potatoes and biscuits. I cannot wait to return and try more of the amazing menu! Service was wonderful.Very sweet husband and wife owned place. Only regret is that I hadn't tried it sooner. What a gem! Thank you Chicory!“
“There was a meeting heald there and they served a limited menu. I had the miso glazed grilled salmon with citrusrice and fresh vegetables. I also paid for and had fried spicy pickles, shrimp cocktail, long Island tea and their specialty jolly rancher. Oh my lands ? it was amazing. The food was amazing and the drinks were to die for. The staff there isVegetarian options: One was the Italian pasta rotelle with roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes. Roasted =4⁴⁴fpeppers⁴,“
“My parents go to this restaurant every Saturday for their after gym date. They took me and my husband there when we were visiting a few weeks ago and we got a look into why they go here consistently. The manager /server is the absolute best and so friendly while making sure you are taken care of. The food is fantastic as well. We left full and satisfied with our choices. We even got a nice apple mimosa which was delightful. I am sad to see the owners are selling it and really hope that not so much changes when others buy it.“
“If I could give this place more than 5 stars - I would! A locally owned taphouse in the middle of a state park is pure brilliance. Great local beers and ciders on tap, yummy fried food, fun dessert options, and great 80s music bumping. The perfect summer location to enjoy the great outdoors while connecting with others and enjoying some tasty treats. See you next summer!“
“Located adjacent to the bowling alley, O'Malley's Lounge is a laid-back bar, perfect for those who want to grab a bite, and sip on a drink. As a sometime lunch-goer, I can vouch for their bar food, which consistently hits the spot. However, it's not just the food that makes O'Malley's laid back during the day but does have bands now again; it is a large space, I enjoy sitting at the bar but odd bar as it is sunken. I have enjoyed bs'ing with the bartenders.“
“I'm always on the hunt for good fish tacos. Dockside nailed it for me. I do not care for tomatoes or pico de gallo. Instead, Dockside uses a delightful mango salsa.I was shocked at the size of the portions, and the spicy kick.Definitely worth the price. The best fish tacos I have had in Olympia.“
“A friend and I decided we wanted some good take out food instead of the usual pizza we always get for ourselves and the kids. We wanted to treat us right. The food was out of this world. I've eaten at a lot of top restaurants over the years, and Cynara is high on my list of favorites. Some friends think it's a little expensive, but once you take your first bite you'll know that it's worth every penny. And no. I don't work for this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Can get most plates gluten free and that's awesome“
“I went on a Friday night, so it was very crowded. We arrived a little after 5 o'clock, so we were able to get a table right away, but by the time we left at 6 o'clock, there was a long line of people waiting. The food was very delicious. It was a thick burger so it was a bit difficult to eat.The inside of the restaurant is a little small, so the tables are also small. It had a stylish atmosphere, but it was quite noisy, so it may not be suitable for people who like a quiet atmosphere.“
