“Dupuis is top notch for dinner! The food is always very fresh. The menu is fairly simple, but always has something yummy and for everybody. Every time I’ve been there the servers have been so kind and attentive. For a special occasion or just a regular dinner you can’t go wrong here. It’s obvious that the food is from scratch nothing processed here. The desserts are always amazing as well, and I am not someone who gets drinks but I’ve heard they make excellent drinks as well. The chimichurri steak is excellent, potato Dupuis and the made from scratch salad dressings are so delicious as well. I could go on and on glad to have this place around I highly recommend Dupuis.”
“Great food, possibly the best food in the area, definitely the best while I was in town. The tacos are great, and filling, the beers on tap and pricing is absolutely great. The music is good and the FOH staff friendly as can be.The smash burgers are great and all burgers are smash now so you all know (at the time of posting).Miranda Rocks, personable, friendly, and helpful. Thanks everyone FOH and BOH included.”
“Ambience was straight out of a Hallmark movie. The flight was delicious and all of the wines were enjoyable. I bought a bottle of the Pinot to take with me. The apple cider wine was also fun and interesting and differentiated it. Little light on seating but we made friends with the people next to us. A great spot for a winery after a long day of hiking!”
“Love this place when they are open. Great food. Great service. Great location. It was a bit of a wait while they were closed for the holidays but the old adage “ good things come to those who wait “ has never rung truer.i waited and was not disappointed. Had a wonderful experience dining here. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who needs a good steak and great desserts.”
“I came in a ordered a birdman cocktail and a Shermy’s Fried Chicken sandwich with Greens and A side of fries. I loved my food. It was absolutely delicious!!! I would definitely recommend. Holly helped me and she was amazing!!!!!”
“We walked by just as they were opening, there was a small line. We decided to try it and glad we did. You have to be patient here, it is a one order at a time system. The pulled pork sandwich (14) was piled high and tasty, nice standard sauce and a spicy option. I picked up some smoked turkey meat (14.00 1/2 lb) it was good also. There was a steady line of customers coming in and in line for the hour we were there. I am sure they sell out, which is common where I am from with BBQ. Why stay open if you sell out? Just like a good donut place, go early before they sell out. I order ribs usually, but 26 for a half rack with a side, is steep to me. What I consider as the best ribs, are in NC and are under 20 for the half rack. The prices are on the high side to me, but will go back for the pulled pork sandwich. It was good! I did not see the ribs, but one person came in and bought 2 full racks to go. They must have a following. I don't care about brisket and did not even notice it was not on the menu. I am not from TX or a TX BBQ follower, that has brisket as a staple, so this place fits in my world. lol Place is clean and very small, a little smokey but that makes a BBQ place to me. Its a one person show it seems. Over all it is a good place for BBQ and better than most on the Peninsula.”
“For an appetizer, we got the grilled oysters (let me tell you SOMETHING, these were perfection, cheese on top, lemon squeezed over, a delightful taste from something else, all gorgeously platted on lettuce), then dinner my partner got the Beast Burger (it had a wonderful mix of flavors in the burger, from gamey to something with a kick), and I got the smoked salmon fettuccine (holy cow, the salty smoked salmon paired with the cheesy fettuccine? Delightful. There were quite a few chunks of the salmon too in it). Dessert we treated ourselves to their chocolate torte (if you love chocolate, this is for you. I'm not a big fan of stuff with too much chocolate flavor, but my partner is and he loved every bite) and the creme brulee (I wasn't expecting the flavor to be lemon, but it paired nicely with the raspberries on top. The flavor was a mild lemon, it could have used a bit more of a bite but was still pretty wicked). Overall, the food was TOP NOTCH. Will definitely be headed back here. The noise level in the restaurant was a tad too loud, but mostly because there were quite a few people in the bar area where we were sitting. The room could probably use some cushy items for sound proofing, like pillows or tapestries, I could barely make out what my partner was saying across the table from me.BUT our server Johnny was incredible. I overheard that there were only two servers for the whole restaurant (this was a Tuesday night), but despite tending many tables (and it was fairly busy), he was very attentive and on top of our requests, some even that we forgot about and were pleasantly surprised over him remembering. Biggest shout-out to Johnny for making our night really wonderful.Parking: Behind the restaurant, there is an open lot”
“Hands down the best clam chowder I have ever had in my life. Most clam chowders are either very watery with minuscule hints of clam. Or they’re a custard like consistency with potatoes so big they’re practically home fries.Hook & Line nails that perfect in between consistency with enough potatoes to give it texture and a hearty helping of clams. The chowder is perfectly seasoned, with a perfect texture and should be sold by the ton. Also, the tartar sauce is unique and perfect. It has dill which I didn’t expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was so good we kept asking for more to dip our fish n chips in. We couldn’t get enough!”
“Had a pretty yummy grilled cheese here. Store seems pretty empty and uninviting, but I'm definitely coming back sometime to try their salads and other sandwiches.”
“Stopped in here for lunch with my wife and had a great experience. We tried a 4 beer flight, the Bruschetta (delicious, bread appeared homemade) and the meat lovers pizza. Service was excellent, food was delicious and the atmosphere is authentic, not fancy, so if you need that go somewhere else but the place felt "real" if that makes sense. I hate the typical fake "crafted" hipster environments I come across in too many of these breweries in the west. Worth a visit!”
“We had both tapas and entrees, the food was delicious and they were able to accommodate the members of our family who are vegan. Our server was very helpful in ordering and very attentive to our needs. We would definitely recommend it and will return there on our next trip.Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be prepared as vegan. Excellent options.”
“Best restaurant water view in Port Angeles, especially on a clear day you can really enjoy the water, Canada, Coho ferry and Mt Baker. Service was fantastic here and they were busy. Tried two of the seasonal cocktails and they were good, festive and priced well. Clam chowder had good flavor but too thick. True cod fish and chips had good fish and large pieces, the breading was panko and they were too bready for my taste. Tarter sauce good, coleslaw not good, salad decent. Turkey cranberry grilled club sandwich was good. I would go back for cocktail specials and an appetizer and enjoy the view. I recommend this place if you are waiting for the Coho.”
“Our table loved Bella's Mushroom Ravioli, the Smoked Salmon Fettucini, and the Bruschetta. We enjoyed the geoduck chowder. Unfortunately none of us liked the Zucchini Noodle Pesto.Staff is warm and welcoming, and the restaurant is very cozy. We went at 5pm on a Tuesday and there were a few customers, but as we left at 6:30pm it was very busy.”
“So special, i felt as though we had turned back time and felt like a small lake in Switzerland we had visited long ago. Only difference: the water in Switzerland is turquoise in colour. If you are on the Olympic Peninsula make a stop to stop and reflect!Parking: From parking to lodge a short 5-7 min to the lodge and they have clean restrooms and a Lodge type bar and big fireplace.”
“They dutifully call themselves a dive bar, and when you walk in, that's the vibe (the 3 on atmosphere, but it's a fun 5 too),. BUT... the food rocks, the staff is wonderful, not surlly, and the other customers are there for a quiet drink or happy to chat. Haven't caught the later night yet, but they have something going on most nights. We've tried about 1/3 of the menu, and no misses yet. The wings are great, and you better have napkins for any burger.”
“Kyle and Yoga have made a really good atmosphere at the restaurant!Awesome Customer Service!Prices are reasonable! Worth the visit 100%, food quality is definitely more than good!!We were able to get a combo for 28$ with three different types of Sushi!Stop by!!!”
“Absolutely lovely food. I went with a group of six friends. We all got something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. The seafood was excellent. Call in advance as they are very popular.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. The menu lists some gluten free options, but strangely not on the take out one, and the wait staff are helpful and knowledgeable.Parking: There's a parking lot a bit down the block and a shuttered schoolhouse across the street.”
