“There is a reason it can be hard to get a reservation at this restaurant. This is a special place. Hands down the best meal I've had in Seattle and some of the best Italian food I've had in the States. The service is top notch, as they go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied and cared for. Chef Katie really cares about the food that comes out of the kitchen and it shows. I highly recommend ordering a few dishes and sharing. Most dishes are perfect for two and you'll want to share in order to get a good sampling of the menu variety. You can tell a lot of heart goes into the food as it hits Italian comfort food spot on. Highly recommend the focaccia and you can't go wrong with any of the pastas, but I recommend the tagliatelle ragù if you're looking for something more traditional. The atmosphere is also a unique experience and makes you feel like you're coming home for family dinner. I highly recommend dining at Il Nido, you will not be disappointed.”

“I came to Seattle hoping to find myself some world class seafood. Everywhere I looked pointed me in the direction of Sushi Kashiba, and I was not mislead. Every bit of this experience oozed intention. Each plate of the omakase was a curated journey through flavors that could have only been designed and achieved by an expert of their craft. This is the real deal, and you'd be hard pressed to find a similar experience for this price. Sushi Kashiba is truly a wonderful experience.”

“It was nice when you used to be able to walk-in, but for good reason SKT has grown in popularity so I would recommend to always book a reservation or you may not get a table. It has a great mix of traditional sushi items, as well as unique offerings that we can't find elsewhere. We used to always order à la carte but recently tried the omakase and the slight variations are awesome.”

“Even though I have been blessed to have had numerous epic meals, the dining experience at LTD Edition Sushi is easily one of the five best dining experiences of my life and maybe even the absolute best ever. The food is both creative and exceptionally prepared with the highest quality ingredients, the service is seamless and as friendly or unobtrusive as you want it to be, and the ambience (sitting at the sushi bar) is jovial and more akin to eating and drinking in a dear friend's kitchen than at a fancy restaurant. While the price is high ($277, including the very generous sake pairing), it is not an expensive meal, as a night at LTD Edition Sushi is one of the best fine dining values that you can find anywhere.”

“The food and setting are good, but not exceptional. I’m happy I tried Autumn, but there is a reason no one talks about it. For the price point, I would expect to be wowed a little more. Certainly nothing wrong with our dishes, but in a city with great food, there are other places that offer more nuance. Also, the open concept kitchen could do with some thoughtful design improvements, the bright lights, white wall and open door into the prep area are a bit jarring and take away from what could be a cozy space.”

Their curry sauce is unique but it is made really well and really complimented the cuts of meat. The pickled veggies they handed out also cleansed the palate really well and kept me wanting to eat more.I cannot comment on the quality of the alcohol as I do not drink, but my friends there that drank said the sake was great. The service was amazing. 1522 12th Ave, Seattle

“This place has now become etched in my memory, and it has from now on become an absolute must visit spot during every visit to Seattle. Simple indoor decor that feels like any other Japanese place, but once the food starts to roll in, you are in for an explosion of flavor bursting inside your mouth and making all your senses come to life. Remember the movie Ratatouille and the scene with the cheese + grape = fireworks in the mouth situation? That’s what’s going to happen to you.Our server was Landin, and I want to recommend him to everyone. He did an exceptional job, and the entire time he helped us with a huge smile on his face. His recommendations were not only welcome, but they were absolutely on point. Each recommendation made the meal better and better. We started out with an out of this world appetizer of seasonal mushrooms on a bed of spinach. Simplicity at its finest, and yet it had so much umami and fragrant flavor. It was so tasty that I began to dip my pickled ginger in the juices of my appetizer just to keep savoring the ridiculous flavor. We then tried the toro (fatty tuna belly) nigiri and the yellowtail sashimi. Oh my God. The toro was basically butter. The moment you place it in your mouth it just dissolves. And the yellowtail was so tender, so pure in its simplicity, and so sweet. It was literally sweet. Just these three menu items alone were some of the best foods I’ve ever eaten, but then Landin came with some recommendations. We had a salmon sushi roll which was great, but nothing extraordinary, but then came the best sushi roll I’ve ever had in my life. It was a roll with spicy tuna inside, yellowtail on the outside with shishito peppers over it and a squeeze of lime on top as well. The spicy tuna and sweet yellowtail blended so incredibly well, and just that hint of lime is actually what made the whole thing pop in your mouth and take it to another dimension. It was a genius sushi roll combination. After that we had black snapper sashimi which was slightly more rubbery than the yellowtail but also, so sweet. These sashimi were the best I’ve ever had.We thought we’d had enough until Landin came back, asking us if we’d be willing to top it off with another one of his favorites. We obliged. It was just a spoonful. One spoon filled with things that don’t seem to go together: truffle oil, salmon roe, a quail egg. And honestly I’ve never had anything runny like that. But that was the spoonful that had me on the verge of tears…of happiness. When I put that spoon in my mouth, all of those seemingly irrelevant flavors melted together to create a true work of art. It was as if I went to space and came back to earth, in an instant. Seriously…there was a pop and burst of bold flavors in my mouth that just…worked. It was the most incredible spoonful I’ve ever had, and it was slightly sweet, slightly tangy, slightly salty - all at once. It was the absolute perfect end to one of the most incredible and delicious meals I’ve ever had.Thank you Landin for the impeccable service, and I will definitely come back every single time I’m in this city. Thank you.”

“One of my friends suggested Single Shot for an intimate brunch, and even though we are from Tacoma and I was hesitant to drive all the way to Seattle just for a brunch spot, it was definitely worth it!Single Shot is tucked back in the neighborhoods near Capitol Hill where you wouldn’t even think such a modern and outstanding brunch spot would be! It was honestly hidden between older homes and apartments and would be easy to miss if you didn’t know what you were looking for. It’s a cozy restaurant inside and has nice outdoor seating as well. The decor is a modern take on vintage style, and being there feels both like stepping back in time but also living in the 2024 you only see in movies. The staff are all extremely friendly with customers as well as with each other. I was new, but I could tell based on watching staff and patrons interact that there are a lot of regulars.I was given a heads up that the food is large, so we decided to do family style dining, and it was truly large servings! I was shocked by how large a single pancake was!! Between the three of us, we still had leftovers! Everything is homemade and uses fresh ingredients too! Even the toast was impressive and toast is usually the leftover filler for small meals, but not here!I cannot wait to come back!”

“The unsung hero of market street. Feel like this place has somehow flown under the radar while serving up delicious chicken with good options. Sauce here is a bit conflicting because they’re all so delicious it’ll rip your heart in two. Chicken sammys are top notch with the barn burner being the go to. The pound of chicken bites is crazy bang for your buck and allows you to not be disgusted with yourself when you ask for 4 different sauces. As far as the sides go the cup o’ gold is amazing and you can’t go wrong with Mac n cheese. The spice here certainly doesn’t mess around. Recommend getting the 1 or 2 star spice if you’re going to dabble. In terms of sauce, sassy, sunny, and that rowdy ranch do the trick, partna.(food smelled way too good to wait and take pictures before inhaling it)”

“?️ Reservation Tip: Book in Advance! This charming restaurant is in high demand. Despite the rainy weather, the indoor seating area exudes charm and coziness, while the open terrace promises a beautiful dining experience when the weather permits. The staff ensures a memorable dining experience with their attentive service. ? Starters: The 4-piece Melanzana is a must-try! Grilled eggplant topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil. A surprising delight even for non-eggplant enthusiasts. Slightly salty, but incredibly delicious. ? Mains: The Risotto ai Marsala delivers an authentic and flavorful taste, with generous portions perfect for leftovers. The Pollo Marsala, a Sicilian favourite as it states on the menu so of course I had to get it! Comes with spaghetti noodles with chicken breast in a Marsala wine and mushroom sauce. While enjoyable, I'm eager to explore other menu options next time. ? Desserts: Indulge in the flourless cake for a decadent treat. While the tiramisu boasts a nice espresso flavor, it leans towards the sweeter side with a generous amount of crème. Overall, La Fontana Siciliana impresses with its fresh and authentic cuisine, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Can't wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu offerings!”

The glasses of wine (5 ounce pours) are reasonably priced, and they offer a great variety. I selected a full bodied Gigondas and was not disappointed. The bites offered are also tasty. “A very delicious Chinese spicy ramen shop.If you are a serious ramen fan, you will be disappointed here. But if you want to eat a bowl of delicious spicy noodles, this is definitely a good choice. Although the soup of spicy ramen is not full of umami, it really has the numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns, which is really good. The barbecued pork noodle soup is also very delicious. Although the signature Malaysian fried chicken is also popular, I personally think it is too salty and drowns out other flavors. Even the spicy noodles have no taste at all.”
