Here's a great spot for casual dining - with a varied menu and high quality. Think: Japanese soul food, but they've got poke too! The main idea here is "dons" - or bowls - of food. Chirashi don is mixed sashimi on rice, Tekka don is tuna on rice - and you can get hot bowls as well, Katsu don (pork cutlet) or Sukiyaki. And they have tofu dishes for vegetarians as well.Nice staff - this spot is a great stand. It's utilitarian and comforting at the same time.Gochisosamadeshita!
Friendly and fast service. Limited seating inside. Got the Chirashi bowl. The bowl itself was a bit heavy on the amount of wasabi and rice compared to the amount of fish. The fish itself was alright, not especially flavorful. However the redeeming quality of the bowl was the Unagi which was tender and delicious. Overall this place is worth a try.
My friends and I came in a little under an hour before close. Unfortunately they couldn't seat us, but we were still able to order to go. They have a screen in the front which makes ordering very easy. We ordered the chirashi bowl to split, and it was SO good. It was well worth the $20. I definitely recommend ordering a side of miso. It's a nice break between eat bite. The woman at the register was very sweet and helpful. I hope to try their sukiyaki don the next time. Can't wait...read full review
