“Capital Grille was a wonderful treat. Our server Arne was fabulous and was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a perfect meal before going to the 5th Ave theater. My filet was cooked perfectly as was my husband's New York steak with the cabernet wine reduction and gorgonzola sauce. All of the sides complemented the meal and were more than shareable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and of course, we hope to be back again soon.“
“Sarah L. is by far one of the most amazing staff members we've encountered. Her descriptions of dishes were spot on. We'd undoubtedly recommend RockCreek to friends and family. From the drinks to the dishes to the dessert, everything was delicious. Thank you so much for making this occasion memorable and a wonderful experience.“
“It was nice when you used to be able to walk-in, but for good reason SKT has grown in popularity so I would recommend to always book a reservation or you may not get a table. It has a great mix of traditional sushi items, as well as unique offerings that we can't find elsewhere. We used to always order à la carte but recently tried the omakase and the slight variations are awesome.“
“We booked in advance seeing that it was a recommended restaurant and we could only get outdoor seating. This is fine since their outdoor patio was heated and has a big fireplace in middle and blankets if you need. Gives a very different atmosphere than inside. We had the beef tartar and the mussels to start. Rich velvety beef tartar with a light crispy cracker was a great way to start our meal. The mussels were amazing, each one was so fat and juicy. Ask for a slice of bread to soak up the sauce after. Then came the main event, the short rib steak. My goodness was that one of the best steak cuts I've had. I always liked ribeye, but the Korean short rib was just as fatty and tender. Definitely a must try with the housemade sauce.“
“Love me some speak-easy bars! What a lovely find! Despite being a Seattle native, I'm not familiar with what Seattle has to offer in terms of speak-easies. I have visited a number in Philadelphia as well as NY city. I suppose I simply doubted Seattle could live up to my east coast experiences. I'm happy to say Roquette proved me wrong! Firstly, true to the speak-easy persona, the entrance was questionable in identification. We couldn't tell if we were at the right place or if it was even open. When we recognized the entrance however, we easily entered and found ourselves in a very cool, throwback, swanky bar. It was relatively intimate and seating was readily available because we arrived around 5:30pm. Happy hour lasts until 7pm, which makes sense because that's prime dinner time rather than "drinking time." Unfortunately, our visit was a few weeks ago and I can't recall the exact drinks we ordered, but they were excellent cocktails that weren't OVERLY sweet like many bars do. There were generous pours of liquor, and fruit cocktails were made with fresh fruit. I only remembered to do this review because we are pending a second visit before the New Year and needed to send this place some love! Great find! Hopefully, it doesn't change with increasing popularity, as is often the case with some businesses.“
“It’s more than a restaurant, it’s an experience! The food, the ambiance, the service, the wine selectionThey are true stars. Special thanks to Matt, that served me last Wednesday, really knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. You can’t go to Seattle without passing by The Pink Door! Thank you“
“Shaker + spear did not disappoint. The food was amazing, as usual. They recently changed the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. The sole was the best I've had my whole life! The cocktails were once again, on point. Our server Ben was at top of his game. Love going back there!“
“You made our anniversary dinner something we will never forget. We've always made your restaurant our anniversary place. Our amazing serve Maik did an incredible job for letting us enjoy our meal, taking it slow and to have an amazing experience. To be able to be shown the a part of the kitchen and grill we were so excited. I cannot thank you all enough for a wonderful time. We're excited to celebrate our next one.“
“What a lovely gem!Came here with mother and wife on a Saturday for lunch and were really impressed by the food. The fried oyster po boy was something out of this world! I never knew you could have such good po boy outside of Louisiana ?Wife ordered the lamb gnocchi which was also very delicious! ? We also ordered a warm beet salad and a cannoli which we liked as well.Their lunch menu is quite reasonable. And their proximity to Green Lake makes this place an ideal fueling station after your run or biking tour. ?“
“Came for a final meal in Seattle before catching our flight and it may have been the best food we had the whole trip! Unmatched local freshness paired with other carefully chosen flavors- crazy good. The chowder is not to be slept on! The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, Dawn in particular was fun and accommodating and made an experience out of an amazing meal!“
“Swordfish was good. 4% fee that the house takes is not good. That 4% would have gone to our waiter but was subtracted from our normal 10%. Ambience was good, drink was strong. Only saw the server 3 times: to order, food brought , and check received. Service was standard and could have been far better. Seeing people stand behind the bar chatting and visiting didn’t help“
“We love this restaurant. The food and service are always impeccable. We e eaten here twice several months apart. Each time, we were greeted warmly, shown to our table and waited on in an appropriate and timely manner. The cocktails are inspired and the food does not disappoint. Highly recommend.“
“PNW concept plates. I liked the sour simple syrup agar gummies in the cocktails. Decor and view are chill and pretty. Sat at the bar as walk-ins; will probably go the same again. Would not bring the Kid; too serene a vibe for Kid and vice versa.“
“So darn good! I got the cod fish tacos which were fried to perfection and topped with cotija cheese and a chipotle sauce. My mom got the Acapulco shrimp tacos which has a jicama and mango salsa and topped with avocado. And the establishment is clean! Friendly service! High recommend this spot.I would’ve taken a picture of the tacos but my eyes and belly took action before I could.“
“Had a great meal here recently. Cocktails were awesome, service was good although a little slow. Sat at the counter - the place has a really nice feel to it. As a former San Francisco Food Snob, this is one of the best meals I've had in Seattle. Looking forward to going back.“
“I am constantly in search of good hot pot places in Seattle. While Hai Di Lao has been my go-to choice, after a meal at Qiao Lin it is definitely rising the ranks on my hot pot list and has the potential to overthrow hai di lao. During our visit, my friends and I chose the four-broth option, featuring two mild selections (tomato broth, pork bone broth) and two spicy options (Chongqing spicy broth, pepper pork broth). The waiter told us that the pepper pork broth was not as spicy but we found it to be the spiciest of the lot. We ordered the beef combo and the presentation was one of the best I've seen at hot pot. The combo arrived on a golden cow and even had a cool fog experience for the first few minutes it was on the table. Every cut of beef on that platter was a delight, especially the Wagyu. Since the platter was pretty filling we only ordered a few other items: quail eggs, skewers, noodles, and meatballs. These were good but honestly didn't compare to the wagyu from the beef platter. The wait staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive throughout our entire dinner. Their patience was notable especially when they graciously waited for us to finish our meal and didn't push us at all even though we were the last party to leave. I will definitely be back to Qiao Lin, primarily for the remarkable beef platter and the commendable service.“
“The staff here are really friendly. They were able to customize the sandwiches to our preferences. We ordered the grilled salmon and the blackened salmon sandwiches along with a side of fries. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The buns were toasted, the salmon was cooked just right, and the fries were fresh and crunchy. The sauce that comes with the blackened sandwich was also good. The whole meal was priced reasonably. I highly recommend coming here for the fish sandwiches.“
“I work in the market and LOVE this little grill. Their Clam CHOWDER is seriously the best in town, and that's really saying something. They've also got excellent grilled fish sandwiches that, while pricey, are worth every dollar. Fish doesn't get any fresher than at Pike Place Market!~Cannon EyeCare @ Pike Place's Market Optical“
“By far, without a doubt, the best chowder in the world. I'm at pikes place a few times a year at least and this is a non-negotiable for me.Their salmon chowder cannot be beat, in my humble opinion. That, with one of their sour dough bread bowls, is literally my favorite thing ever. Insider tip- you can order it to go and get it from the pickup window in just a few minutes... no need to wait in the long line (although it's worth the wait!)“
“This is our first time visiting this place. Very organized and sparkling clean and I was very impressed. The servers were friendly and the food was finger-licking good. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back for more new food to “
“The White Swan is a MUST on a warm Seattle evening. The outdoor patio is so cute and the views of Lake Union and the Space Needle are quintessential to Seattle.Make sure to go during sunset to get all the vibes! We got an array of things and they were all really good. The salmon salad was a light and delicious salad, perfect for adding a little greens into your meal. The oysters and clams were super fresh, and the salmon dip was one of my favorite parts of the whole meal. The prawns were good but their cocktail sauce was delicious!!The crab hushpuppies weren’t my favorite but my friend said they were his favorite part of the meal. I still really enjoyed them. The pasta was yummy, tho I was a little sad that it was suppose to be a pesto base but they were out of pesto so they did a cream. Still overall a really good dish. The bone marrow !!! Some of the best bone marrow I’ve ever had. Highly recommend getting it if you’re into that type of food.I will definitely be back. Date night. Friends. Parents in town. This is a wonderful option for a slightly upscale but not too fancy dinner!“
“I believe this is a family owned establishment. I was wowed by the level of customer service. It has been so long since I’ve encounters such amazing service. My son and I were visiting from Virginia and on a our last day we wanted to get a lobster roll. They were fantastic! I came back the same day to grab some New England clam chowder to go. Mom had just came in and was getting thing in order. While I sat a down to taste my soup, so delicious, I saw her just as warmly serve the customers in front me. As we got up to go, she brought me over a fresh bowl of soup. :Said she wanted to make sure I had the freshest soup. I was so touched. It may seem simple but you don’t get such care in a restaurant these days. I will be telling all of my friends about this visit and I will make sure to return for some great soup and lobster rolls when I come back!“
“It was amazing! We went for my brother’s birthday, and the people were so warm and welcoming! Roy was our server, and he was attentive and kind. They put on a show for the birthday boy and the birthday boy was so happy! Our new favorite hotspot spot.“
“We went to celebrate my brother's birthday because we've visited before with amazing results, but they really blew my expectations out of the water this time! I brought a decorated cake with candles from home, and the host was quick to ask if it needed to be refrigerated. I said no, we were seated, and our server asked whose birthday it was. My brother hadn't arrived yet, so she offered to take the cake to the back to open up the table. After our amazing meal, she and another server brought out dessert plates and the cake, unboxed and with the candles lit! They really went the extra mile without me even asking. It made the experience much more fun and far less awkward for me! If I could give an extra star for service, I would. And all of the food was incredible, of course, and they made necessary and thoughtful adjustments for the person at our table with a food allergy. We'll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Options for vegetarian and easy adjustments for food allergies.“
“I really appreciated the variety and uniqueness of their menu here, especially the starters and signature sashimi. Our highlights were scallop-uni with yuzu sesame and seared salmon with truffle ponzu but other dishes we ordered were also good and there were so many more on the menu I'd like to try so definitely will be returning! Efficient service and attentive staff. Clean & minimalistic ambiance. Highly recommended!“
“Great food, great vibes, and Taylor who took care of us was exceptional and had great energy. We had the Happy Hour Mussles, Steak Frites (Washington Wagyu) w potato purée, Le Coin Burger, and scoops of ice cream (vanilla, huckleberry, and spruce). All were excellent. Would highly recommend all the dishes and would come back again.“
“Great spot to go. Love the vibe. High ceilings and plenty of light.Food was really good. Oysters were great as well as the other options they have.Went on a Sunday evening with friends and had to wait a bit but not bad. Their bar next door had amazing drinks too where you can wait.“
“We choose here cause some of the reviews first I want to say the catfish Is good but I think it was the fish swai. Being from Louisiana that wasn't catfish. It was still good though. My girlfriend had ox tails our first time it was great. I had the pork chops I need more. I had the wings and beans also fantastic and the macaroni was good. I wanted the collard greens to go but my girlfriend was like no. So if you down here definitely visit there for some southern food.“
“Great views! Lots of seating at the bar if you want quicker service. Happy hour section has a limited menu compared to their regular dining area menu. Sampled a few of the HH items - clam chowder, cod bites, calamari and a Caesar salad. Skip the Caesar but don’t snooze on the clam chowder!!! Cod bites and calamari were good but the chowder was the real standout. 3 beers on tap for happy hour, recommend they add a cider. Server was friendly and food came quick. Great option for single diners, date night and spot to take family.Parking: Free 2 hour parking“
“The experience was average. Food was decent, but quite expensive comparative to other similar restaurants, quality, and portion size. The service was not overly friendly or attentive, but got the job done. The environment was the best part of the experience.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by how good the poke was here considering it was in a touristy area like Pike's. The fish was very fresh and the flavor was pretty good too. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough fish to topping ratio (as you can see in the pic)“
“We had a lovely dinner at That's Amore . We shared a pear salad and the pizza with figs . Both excellent. We also shared scallopine which was also really good but we didn't really have room for all of it. The staff were all friendly, helpful and worked like a family. Definitely a date night success . Will be coming back.“
“Wonderful! Second time in a week. Service was outstanding both times: prompt, friendly & gracious without interfering with our conversation too often. Their lamb shank (with a delicate polenta) roasted 4 hours, seasoned perfectly and is out of this world. I also sampled some of my son's pizza and a friend's homemade pasta. The second night a different friend enjoyed the lamb shank while I chose homemade spaghetti w/ a simple lemon & garlic oil sauce and garden vegetables. My son's espresso martini and our glasses of wine were excellent, as was the tiramisu. I had a caffe coretto with kahlua, a perfect accompaniment. Lively place that gets louder as the evening goes on, but we had a quiet dinner at 5:15 which is what we were seeking..“
“You'll like everything: view, service, food (especially), and adult beverages. Take a walk by the sea, take in the salt air, then enjoy a great restaurant experience in one of Seattle's traditional destinations. Here's some scenery nearby, not to mention the Ballard locks. One of our very favorites: sunset, Olympic range, great view.“
“Our family has been going here for over 20 years. Great food, visit Bruce Lee's table he sat at and the wall of all the famous food critics visitors. It's a restraunt set back in time well worth the visit. The only place I can find legit fried rice WITH bean sprouts.“
“Our first time in Seattle and in Pike Place, we chose this place as recommended by our friends. And god it was awesome. The waterfront seating on a warm sunny day just added on to all the positives. Nice food accompanied by even better brews were worthy of all the praises. A must visit place if you are in or around Pike Place. We ordered the following:Brewer’s Flight - $21Fish & Chips - $21Pepperoni Wood Fired Pizza - $18Hot Wings (half) - $12Clam & Bacon Chowder Bowl - $13Santa Muerte Cocktail (*2) - $15 eaNote:The fish and chips consisted of 3 pieces of fish and upon our request they added a 4th piece to the plate at an additional charge of $7.The Brewer’s flight contained the following:Old Stove PilsnerBelgian BlondeTwo Prong IPAAmber WavesBlitzfire BrownSeasonal Sour“
“Easy parking and very authentic Sichuan food. Reminds me of my days in Sichuan. They use good ingredients, and portions are good.Things are on the spicier side comparing to most Sichuan restaurants, but you can ask them to make things less spicy if you want.“
“Food is good here, but parking is hard to find. Online menu like too many other places is obsolete. Prices are higher then you will find on their website. Restaurant is usually crowded for dining in. During crowded times wait times can be long.“
“Don’t underestimate the food in what you think may be a tourist trap type of spot. The food is really good. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the crab chowder. The blackened salmon fish tacos were really good too. They have rotating ciders. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a table by the window. If you’re really lucky the sun will be out for you. Access from 1st Ave. On a Tuesday afternoon they seemed kind of short staffed but still took great care of us. Cheers!“
“You just can’t beat Taylor’s! “Right in your face” fresh with tanks right in front of you to see all the items you want! Don’t skip the pickled veggies and rockfish ceviche!! Oysters - soooooo hood with the best mignonette EVER!! You can’t ask for a better!! 100 stars!!“
“The Kudedon Bowl was quite amazing. It has Salmon, Albacore Tuna, grilled eel, shrimp, Tuna , and Ikura(orange roe) along with some shiitake mushrooms, greens on a bed of sushi rice. The staff was friendly and quick with the order. The place is in the lobby of one of the building in 4th Ave in Downtown Seattle so be prepared to either take it to go or sit on the lobby sofa or some of the stool by the main doors to the building. That said, don't be deterred by that, the food is worth it. Enjoy!“
“Arrived without a reservation but were warmly welcomed and got a lovely table upstairs on outside balcony. Great views and lovely food. There were three of us and what we had included the salmon and a prawn dish. Nice choice of drinks and wines. We were lucky to get parking.“
“This place blew my mind! I live in the neighborhood and have drove by many times and finally decided to pull in. I got the Salmon & Chips, my wife got the Salmon Caesar. We subbed the chips for their special smoked garlic chips and it was gourmet! The presentation and flavor was phenomenal!“
“Fresh cut fries! They were delicious. Amazing cook on them. My fish and chips was crunchy while still being moist. The tarter sauce was pungent and wonderfully flavorful. The atmosphere was nice. The owner smiled and laughed with us -- a great sign of a quality place.“
“Walking into Sailfish you are greeted by friendly staff and a wonderful ambiance. I love all the plant life at the bar. Great spot for happy hour or even a date night! Oysters and Espresso Martinis...say less! Their Happy Hour is quite good. Half a dozen oysters for $18 and they are SO very fresh! Highly recommend. The espresso martini has sarsaparilla which makes it have a truly unique flavor that I absolutely loved. Triple fried potatos... yum. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you love seafood or just great cocktails I definitely recommend stopping in!“
“This place was amazing! Electric attitudes from the staff and great service. Timing of ordering was great from the drinks, to the appetizers and the entrees. The atmosphere is also wonderful and homelike. We ordered the crab Rangoon, fried pancake, spicy Kimchi calamari, a vegan Bahn Mi sandwich, and the Pho Combo. Everything was really fresh and the portions were plentiful!Vegetarian options: A lot to choose here for vegetarians/vegansDietary restrictions: Tons of vegan options“
“Places like this are genius. You order at a kiosk so it's perfect for introverts. The food is absolutely delicious. Their pho broth is scrumptious. Their pho tater tots and egg rolls are also yummy. I haven't figured out the beer situation there. It's apparently self-serve. This is place is also great to watch a game as they have HUGE TV's. Great for pre or post game eats.“
“BEST LOBSTER ROLL IN TOWN!! Hands down, my husband and I have been looking for a good lobster roll for a while . This place has a great customer service, staff was patient on the phone while we were making our take out order. When we got the order, the roll had the best spices and flavor I have ever had . We will be coming back.“
“Cute little shop with food made with care! I'm so thankful this place exists and fills the void of Korean food in the White Center area!!! Looking forward to more soup options eventually, I hope!!Parking: Only a few spots, working nearby may be required depending on time of day.“
“Amazing food very good quality., an explosion of flavor with every bite . Very nice and clean environment, very affordable and good options , must visit when your in the area . The owner is very nice and inviting, very informative. Will be returning “
