“We love driving through Steilacoom to enjoy a cup of coffee from this location. The employees are very nice and the pastries are delicious. The aroma of fresh coffee and pastries is inviting. I love the outdoor seating and always look forward to coming here.”
“They have a Wonderful RED wine. And sometimes a Brick Oven Pizziaria is set up just out to the side of their front door. the pizza the Men make outside is WONDERFUL !”
“Very nice establishment. Our server was also the bartender, therefore, busy. The food was really good, the view was nice, and the service was good. Just has to get the check ourselves so we could get to the airport, but I prefer that over getting rushed out. ”
“So much History is shared on the walls and cabinets at BAIRS Hardware in Steilacoom. I Always Enjoy The Food And The Atmosphere when ever I go to eat there . They are only open on a weekends And The Food Is Always AMAZING ... YUMM YUMM !!”
“Love the ice cream and service here. Nicest owners! Very friendly with dogs too. I get the seasonal flavors and afogato. Quick bites are decent too. So glad this is by the ferry line.”
“Stopped in here to meet up with some co workers that stop here on a regular basis. Saw one of the most annoying people I work with that say and I'm like and all like constantly. So I left and came back later when he was gone. My co workers love hanging out here.”
“The place for bagels in Tacoma! We come to pick up 2 bagel sands each time we visit from Honolulu! Bagels are well made, fillings are generous and flavors are on spot. Only issue? There's always a line so go early on a weekday. Line's part of the charm I guess and the place has tons of personality!Parking: Go early for parking and no line.”
“'Un'Chopped SaladHad the dinner sized. Could have eaten a lunch sized because it was soooooo incredible.Fresh Protein - Seafood and chestnutsFresh Veggies - Fresh Romane and AvocadoI was wonderfulCan't wait to go back to Seattle to have it again.”
“The chicken and fries had me dancing while eating. It's SOOOO good. Do yourself a favor, go. Buddy's is an exceptional addition to the already rich legendary Lincoln District food landscape.”
“** LOVE Curran Coffee**Curran Coffee is delicious! BONUS: food is good too. Ordered the Gemini Latte and bagel with garlic cream cheese spread. I always have bad luck with ordering food from coffee shops. It's usually generic. The bagel was hot, soft to bite into, and plenty of cream cheese. Could eat one right now. My Gemini Latte with oat milk was delish! It wasn't too sweet. It was busy when we went so get there early for seating. We lucked out when a couple left and found a table right by the window.Love that they are female owned and the owners were working which is a plus. They have a hands-on approach. This means they handle all customer complaints. As young as they are, you go girls! Can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking which can be a pain.”
“On our way home, we sought a spot for a quick bite. Upon entering, we were greeted with warm smiles in this charming place. It being our first visit, the owner kindly suggested some options, sharing his favorites. Opting for the German Hoagie, we deferred to his topping preferences.Though initially planning to eat on the go, one bite of the German Hoagie convinced us otherwise. The amalgamation of flavors – meats, toppings, bread – demanded a moment to relish. We ended up savoring our meal in the parking lot, returning to express gratitude to the delightful couple (presumed owners). Undoubtedly, a place worth revisiting and recommending!”
“I love Balcon! It’s my favorite quick bite spot in the neighborhood. I especially love the bean and cheese pupusa - I usually get two with extra slaw. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu tho - so happy this little local business opened up!”
“Great new spot in town the spicy pork box was really good and a big portion definitely a two meal dish. The popcorn chicken was also good the garlic soy is legit. If you like kfc give this place a try.”
“I normally never write reviews for places till late in the game but if you don’t know about this spot, now you know!Aight, this is a legit no frills type of spot when you first step in but after you take a look around, you’re hit with nostalgia, amazing smells, and a vibe. The menu is definitely fun to read, they serve alcoholic drinks which I missed the first go around (got a chance to taste a mimosa, #blessed) coffee and juice as well.Idk what type of coffee beans they use for the drip coffee but I was thinking about it all day! I added cream and sugar but the coffee was coming all the way through! I did not need either addition to the coffee. The orange juice was so fresh, tasty, and had the perfect consistency!Food presentation was on a 1000, and the biscuits and gravy (original) are next level! I also had a side of bacon - which I am so pleased that I did not ask for it to be well cooked (normally I would) but it came out cooked to perfection.I will definitely be back to try more dishes because Side Piece Kitchen elevated what would be a basic dish in most restaurants. You order it for comfort and it delivered.I completely regret not ordering a to-go dessert like I peeped everyone else with… I was just trying watch my own calorie intake for the day… I will not leave without a dessert next time. I’d rather run more laps!”
“What? Nepalese dishes at the Tacoma Mall food court? If you close your eyes and focus on the taste, you may find yourself transported to a street market in Katmandu, My wife kept seeing Food Network chefs rave about momo and other Himalayan street foods. She was very pleased with herself for finding this spot so close to home. Momo is kind of a steamed stuffed dumpling popular not only in Nepal but neighboring Tibet, India, and Bhutan. The Nepalese family who operate Momo King put their very English-proficient and friendly adult son at the register. We've tried butter chicken momo, fried pork momo, and coco chicken momo, and I had the mango lassi to drink. Yummy all around. You can eat momo as finger food or with a fork. We'll be back.”
“This is my favorite local coffee spot in UP. As a former barista I care about quality. They serve Olympia Coffee, one of the best roasters in the country (they've won awards for micro roaster of the year, etc). What you get with high end coffee is often a snobby vibe. That's not the case at all at Happy Duo. The owner, Derek, remembers me and my kids by name. He's always throwing this nice little extras in for my girls, like their amazing mochi doughnuts (try them). Really thoughtful. They've recently started a scratch baking program, so some of the goodies in their case are made right in-house. The decor and extras offered are both on the eclectic side. Happy Duo hosts music and events and has become the defacto gathering place for UP residents young and old (kids doing homework after school, a group of retirees that plays dominoes, freelancers getting work done, people popping out for a quick date, etc). I love it. Can't say enough about this place.Parking: Lots of free parking in the parking garage underneath the building”
“My wife is vegan and cannot always find a good choices on the menu at many restaurants. Here she found a mushroom burger which she thought was fantastic. I had duck breast which was delicious. Our server was excellent, very attentive and friendly. We hadn’t been here before but we will be ”
“Pretty good food, the brunch was good. We got the corn beef hash, breakfast sandwich and the biscuits and gravy and overall it’s been really good and tasty. The staff was great as well, the ambience Was nice and it was clean. I’d definitely come back.”
“Always my go-to every time I go up to JBLM. The gentleman running this truck is extremely friendly and his service is impeccable. Come check this place out if you're missing some southern cooking or looking to try out something new!”
“Fantastic deli meats and cheeses. Fresh breads including rye breads and delicious kaiser rolls. The attached sweet shop/sandwich shop has the goods; beautiful pastries.”
“Great beer and friendly service! We thought there was BBQ there based on other reviews, but that's no longer an option. However, they do have food trucks on certain nights. Despite no food, you can bring in your own and it's an awesome spot inside with lots of room and some games to play. Again, the beer is delicious which is why you're there - for great beer!”
“What a charming small Italian restaurant!! The food is made fresh here, the portions are large and I really liked the hosts we had! My husband and I had a chuckle that the Christmas decorations are still up but it brings a smile to the experience! I will be back!”
“The women upfront was very nice and I watched as she had to very nicely confront two teenagers that look like they were going to dine and dash. She did it very respectful and professionally. The Dole whip and the passion guava where my favorite flavors and they were amazing! I still think about them! Love the touch of having games there so you could play while you eat!”
“Great spot. We had the quesabirria tacos and they were phenomenal. We tried a few different cocktails and they were also delicious. Service was amazing enough though it was packed. We will be back.”
“Sometimes the ice cream has been sitting in the deep frost too long. The ice cream can be really hard instead of soft, and at times I've had ice crystals in my ”
“I made the review for 2 Version one in Thai Language and the other one in English Language.ThaiFor Thai people who travel to work in the Seattle, Tacoma, Gig harbor or nearby areas and really want to eat Thai food. I recommend this shop. The atmosphere in the restaurant, the taste of food, the care and quantity of food. Nothing was flawless. I came to work at Tacoma for 2 days. I came to eat two days in a row. The shop owner's name is Jeremy. Friendly and very hospitable. I invited a friend to eat on the second day and they liked it. I recommend it. It's a bit of a drive from Seattle, but the taste is good and it's worth it.EnglishJeremy, the owner, was incredibly welcoming. The portions were generous, leaving me completely satisfied. This place exceeded all my expectations! Highly recommended for an authentic Thai experience.I definitely come back . Highly recommend!!!!!”
“Some of the best cider in WA. No food but amazing on tap cider. Try the dark cherry mixed with vanilla bean. It is amazing. If you ate there in the fall the Chai cider is incredible.”
“*21+ establishment*Upon arriving it was really busy , so with it being a seat yourself establishment it was a little tricky finding a spot at first. Once we were seated the service was pretty rapid from here on out. They have a sizable list of fully decorated hot dogs and sausages (craft beer as well but didn't try it) for a fair price. I had tried The Chicago outfit sausage and it came out juicy with a generous amount of condiments on top. I don't think you'd be disappointed trying anything on The Red Hot's menu.”
“This review is for my first experience with this establishment. Me and my wife both did the 3-day cleanse, the only difference was she did the 8 oz and I did the 16 oz cleanse. We both enjoyed the flavors of our juice drinks. The hot shot was a little too potent for my wife so I got to enjoy hers for her. Both of us felt great during the cleanse. Plenty of energy and did not suffer a lot of hunger pains. As a matter of fact neither of us were really hungry during the cleanse. I would recommend this to anybody. We will definitely be back for another cleanse in the near future.”
“The cupcakes are amazing but I go for the cinnamon rolls. Those are extraordinary. I also got my birthday cake from here. I forgot to give them an image of what I'd been thinking so I don't blame them at all for it being off from what I'd imagined, but it was adorable and more importantly, it was delicious. I recommend this place as often as possible.”
