After about two visits they remembered my order and now they start getting my Redbull spritzer ready as soon as they see me walk in! “All those truckers and longshoremen near the Port of Tacoma must be keeping this a tight lipped secret. I purchased a Toasted George with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was good, don't get me wrong order it if you like potato salad. But the toasted sandwich was SOOOOOO good. This is the place to go if you want a hearty, sloppy sandwich in Tacoma. I'm not a dainty lady and can usually put away a good amount of food in one sitting, but I had to save some of my sandwich for later. On top of the food being wonderful, lady who was working there was very kind and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here and bringing friends to share it with.“
“This was my first time visiting since childhood and it has grown so much! I felt so nostalgic. I was pleasantly shocked at the beautiful menu and the cashier was the sweetest. They could use a little bit more seating inside because we did have to wait 10 minutes for our food. I ordered the BLT and my partner ordered a BYO. “Hubby's classic was huge with lots of meat. My BBQ chicken was less stuffed, but still generous. Both were mild. I'd like more pickle to the veg and a little more heat from the peppers. Bread was terrific, but the chicken meat was pressed and disappointing.All in all I'd return, but I wouldn't get the chicken, and I'd ask for extra peppers.“
“I’ve been eating at this place for the last two years and it is the most delicious, amazing food that you can get in the area for the price. The couple that runs the place are absolutely amazing human beings and every order is made made with love. Try any item on the menu, I promise you will not be disappointed. My favorite is the BLTA on sourdough or the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito for breakfast. Absolutely Delicious!“
“One of the cheapest places for gas in the area. Add Fred Meyer fuel points, now we're talking big savings on fuel. The place is always busy. I guess the word gets out. Add to that, a good size convenience store and deli. And if that wasn't enough for you, a drive through smoke shop. I don't smoke any more, but I'm told it's one of the cheapest places for tobacco.“
“This tiny Deli is located in one corner of a larger performance/event space with a view of the waterfront. We stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the sandwiches that we ordered. I'd easily give them a 4.5 stars for the food. Tasty, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately I'd give them 3 stars for ambiance and accessibility. They are in an event space and have a few tables generally in front of their counter. They are subject to the disruptions from groups setting up for events. (When we were there a rock group was setting up on risers.) They are located on the back (water side) of a large commercial/residential block. Although there was a sign seemingly directing us into the parking garage, we never did find a route from the garage to the deli and ended up walking the entire outside perimeter of the building to find the entrance. Clear signage would be a big plus. So good food, but challenging location. Probably really nice in the summer when outside seating along the waterfront would be available. Worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood.“

It being our first visit, the owner kindly suggested some options, sharing his favorites. Opting for the German Hoagie, we deferred to his topping preferences.Though initially planning to eat on the go, one bite of the German Hoagie convinced us otherwise. The amalgamation of flavors – meats, toppings, bread – demanded a moment to relish. We ended up savoring our meal in the parking lot, returning to express gratitude to the delightful couple (presumed owners). Undoubtedly, a place worth revisiting and recommending!“
