“I was pleasantly surprised by this place, a literally shining light in the dark in one of the shadier parts of the greater Tacoma area. Food was fresh and plentiful, a much better value than established chain restaurants. I've tried nearly every burrito within a 100 mile radius and I highly recommend giving this small local business a chance.“
“It might not look like much, as its a big metal building, however, their burgers and fries are some of the best I've had. Whenever I visit this far north, I try to stop by. “Our family loves Ivars Seafood Bar. The Fish and Chips are made up fresh once we order. The staff is so kind to serve us at our table after we order at the counter. We love their Clam Chowder as well. The restaurant was clean and service was quick and friendly.“

“Ivar's is an iconic NW seafood restaurant and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was clean and the servers were courteous and efficient. My girlfriend and I each ordered fish and chips with a cup of chowder. We both thought everything was outstanding. Our only complaint was that the pieces of fish were smaller than we expected. I recommend travelers stop here over any of the other fast food options.“
“Loved the theme and style! The double classic burger is a solid burger but isn't award winning. The strawberry shortcake milkshake was marvelous in both presentation and flavor. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it's easy to see that the restaurant has seen better days. Though it was generally clean, worn furniture and faded deco weren't very appealing. A renovation, while keeping the styling, must be a priority.“

“Great service today. I ordered a party box in person with special request to have lettuce and tomato packaged separately on the side. I left the sandwich selection up to the person at the counter. I picked up 3 hours later and got a great sandwich selection and veggies nicely arranged on a tray - several options - not just the lettuce and toms requested. Well received at my lunch gathering.“
