Took the T line to the Freight House Square and ordered the Fish and Shrimp special. At $20.95 I was thinking it was a bit expensive. That is until they put this pile of fish and shrimp in front of me. I couldn’t even eat half of it and I’m no light weight. I ate the other half today and promptly fell asleep in my recliner. I got 2 complete meals from that plate.The fish and shrimp were perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the fries. It’s a family run place and they are very welcoming. I enjoyed the experience. If you like your fish fried head to Paya Thai Fish and Chips.

This is hands down the best fish in the Tacoma and surrounding area.The atmosphere is quaint with tons of history and there is little specialty shops to check out as well.The proprietors and employees are friendly and efficient and make you feel comfortable and welcome.The food is what makes this our go to dining out choice every time. The fish is fresh, flakey and delicious. We order the Captains Platter and share between two and still have leftover.We love the scallops, clams, oysters and shrimp, the clam chowder is to die for, the absolute best. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.Go check it out, you'll love it, I promise!Kid-friendliness: They catered to our granddaughter, brought an x-tra piece of fish and a fun drink.

An excellent place for amazing food and enough to take home for leftovers. I was celebrating a BD and mentioned it to the Owner. After we were done eating he brought out a personal desert for my Brother for free.Parking: Parking can be difficult depending on when you go, there is a free parking garage though. Both times I have been recently we have not had any problems finding a parking spot

In came into Freighthouse Square on a lark yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere. Decided on fish and chips. It was beautifully plated and as delicious as it looks. Everyone working were kind and attentive, I even got a sample of the clam chowder, which I very much look forward to next time.

Ordered the captains platter. Just wasn’t to my liking. The clams were chewy and the oysters tasted just plain horrible. The fish was tough. However the chowder had wonderful flavor and was very tasty. However again, clams were very chewy. I enjoyed Ivars better than here.
Give this man Robert a raise yo. He's the man blessed us with the best fish n chips and customer service was amazing. Nice to meet you and your son. Good luck next time on the escape room
