I was not thrilled that is more of a Mexican food restaurant. The only dish from El Salvador that I saw was the popusas. I drove to the small town if Tieton for a specific business, and this restaurant caught my attention. It is to far out of my way for me to return just for the popusas. However, I do recommend this place.

I'm a huge fan of Salvadorian food and this is one of my favorite spots next to the place I ate outside of Savannah, Georgia. Spectacular flavor, perfectly cooked food, impeccably clean food and space. Really nice folks too. Wish I would have been hungrier so I could have sampled more of the menu, but anytime I'm anywhere near this place I'll be making a detour to try it again. Really cool tile mural outside of the restaurant too, and very nice little town that is really well kept.

Best pupusas I've had in years! We tried the cheese, cheese & asparagus and the mixed. All were delicious and came with pickled veggies as we were hoping. Will definitely go back the next time we are in Tieton!

I had lunch with my wife and 4 friends. We had pupusas, sopes, flautas, and quesadillas. All excellent. Had several kinds of drinks: tamarind, cucumber/lime, and agua de jamaica (hibiscus). All refreshing. People including owner were very nice, and service was top notch. Ambiance great as well. Worth a trip to Tieton.

This was our first time trying Salvadorian food and it was excellent! The pupusas lived up to the hype from many friends who had recommended this restaurant. We also had the plantains which were phenomenal as well.In addition to Salvadoran cuisine, they have Mexican fare as well. We ordered family style so everyone could share a bit of everything which was a really fun way to try all the excellent food this restaurant offers.The owners and her son are an incredibly nice family who provided exceptional customer service. Wether you are driving home from White Pass, passing through Naches or in Tieton this is definitely worth the small detour to experience.We will definitely be back! Thanks for the excellent meal!

Great food, exemplary service, and reasonable prices. Two great choices for south of the border food in Tieton. It’s always hard to choose, although we lean towards Don Mateo. They have their own outdoor seating and there is a new city playground across the street.
