Food is above average good for dinner, and the staff are nice, so tried out their weekend breakfast menu. Had the fried chicken and waffles, and the chicken and gravy open sandwich. Both were delicious, the fried chicken was excellent. The Chai was sweet, rather than spicy. The Bloody Mary was phenomenal.I have visited many times and it can feel a little disorganized, who is serving you, where to sit, etc. Even before pandemic service could be a little slow. Despite these, overall this place is always a solid good choice in Vancouver for really good food and a good experience.

Absolutely stunning eggs Benedict! The béarnaise sauce was outstanding and creamy but not too thick. I will come back for breakfast again!

Great vibe, fantastic music, games on TVs, friendly service and some really good food! Been here 3 times now and would highly recommend the fish tacos but I didn't enjoy the Cobb salad we got. Also had an overcooked burger one time but would try again. Had brunch on their patio with our pups this morning and their corned beef hash was perfect.

Great brunch spot, we have been here three times already and enjoy the food every time. The mimosas are priced decently at $5.50 and the brunch entrees average $9-$16. It is popular on the weekends so plan on this spot if you are trying to sit down somewhere for an hour rather than a quick meal.

Food was great, but it took 20 minutes to get a tonic water. Not a mixed drink, just a tonic. I was told the bartender was backed up. Other than that it was good. We were alllowed to have our dog with us on the patio.

Came in for Sunday brunch. Lots of good options and everything looked delicious. I got a Bloody Mary and it was delicious, and I also go the breakfast tacos, which were also delicious. I'll definitely be back

If you’re looking for an upscale bar rather than a formal restaurant for dinner in Vancouver, this is the place. Great choice of dishes on the menu, including some smaller plates, and a good beer and wine selection. My only gripe is there weren’t a lot of vegetarian options. Fish tacos and Quesadilla were particular standouts. Service was excellent.

Very nice wait staff. Salad was wonderful! A bit too dark in there though.

Love love love Barrel Room! Used to walk over to eat at the bar before COVID (awesome cocktails and best fish and chips) and I really admire how they tried to keep on their servers during the pandemic. To go, the fish and chips aren't as good since they steam in the box, but I am thrilled they are open for seating again. I've come here for lunch, appetizers and brunch pretty regularly and everything is fantastic. Usually order the blackened salmon Ceasar salad.

My wife and I were here 2 weeks ago for dinner(7/17/21)and again for breakfast yesterday (7/25/21) recommended by my coworker, Jen thank you. I'm picky and this place is Great. The first time I had a dinner salad and Calimari for an entree, loved it. My wife had the Brussels sprouts and said they were the best she's ever had. I'm not a Brussel sprouts person but cooked their way I can see myself ordering them next time. Then for dinner she had the Crab/lobster Mac & cheese. I was lucky to get a taste. It was creamy and the seafood was generous for the small cost. Yesterday we both had the Biscuits and gravy. I don't usually say the gravy was great but it was. I also judge a breakfast restaurant by its biscuits and gravy. I need to look no further they've got my business. Next visit we're going to order pizza because of another coworker recommendation. I'm constantly looking at their menu and can't make up my mind, Combination or build my own. I also have to mention the owner. Both visits he came by to table touch and genuinely asked if we were satisfied or happy with the food and service. He needed to speak with a young server. Very professional pull her aside and gave her a tip or instruction instead of embracing her on the floor. There's good team work here.

My guy and I popped in here over the weekend for a mid afternoon meal. All the staff were so great and helpful with Jersey being a stand out... we were served with that wonderful balance of attentiveness that was just right... not too little, not to much, but just right. And the Food.... YUM! We each had a burger and man, just when you wonder who can wow you with a great burger, the Barrel Room wow'ed us both. This just became my new fave go-to for a kickass burger. (and they have a gf option for the bun FYI... AND the fries are sooo yum as well and not standard... unusual shape, delish flavor!)

Excellent lunch - we had the strawberry chicken salad and the bison burger and both were delicious. The only reason for four stars is that they are understaffed, and we had quite a wait for our food.

Beautiful ambience exposed to the Uptown"Upton" district of Vancouver. Food options provide a great range of options from Just a nibble to a full course red meat experience. The feel has that welcoming vibe with a level of sophistication throughout the selection of Spirits.

There are ways to fix fish tacos and there are ways to fix fish tacos. Uptown Barrel Room has a way that satisfies the pickiest of pallets. The slaw inside the shell is fresh and tasty. What is even better is that the halibut is grilled or fried, your choice. Maybe baked but I’m sure the choice was grilled or fried. I chose grilled. The sauce must be their own; a unique flavor, it harmonized with the fish. Yes, I’d return to try other items on the menu. My friend chose the stand-by, fish and chips, and the portions are generous but manageable. Parking in front is pay, but you can park free on side streets. Downtown Vancouver will be the trendy place one of these days!
