This isn't my neighborhood. I just happened to duck in here, looking for a slice. Random walk-in. I immediately knew I'd discovered a new favorite. I could smell the pizza oven (it's hard to explain). I wasn't disappointed. The smell, taste, and texture are correct. This is a NY/NJ pizza joint if you know what I mean. I know... PDX has a few decent slices. I'm telling you - put this place on your list.

Floppy, sloppy, undercooked pizza, overloaded with clods of cheese on paper thin floppy crust. Ingredients and cheese immediately slough off. Ingredients are decent quality but the cooks or the owner don't know how to make a high quality, well balanced pizza. I don't know if this is because of the new owner (Bessollo) or if Vinnie has let quality slide.

As a former New Yorker this is the closest to NY style pizza i have had in such a long time. Worth every penny and the staff is always wonderful

Had the opportunity to check out Vinnie's. Ordered a cheese pie, with caprese, and spicy meatballs in marinara. Everything was delicious! Prefect thin crust and flavorful sauce on the pie. Meatballs were tender, mild-medium spice level, in hearty marina. I look forward to coming back and would recommend this to all the NY style pizza lovers.

This review is an ode to my favorite local pizza spot as they move on to a new chapter. Unfortunately it is Vinnie's last week in business (but my understanding is that the recipe and menu will stay the same under a new name next week as Vinnie moves back to Italy - I sure hope so!) Vinnie's pizza is so delicious and always served with a smile. We have always had the nicest servers there and the pizza crust is to die for. Nothing fancy, just good, quality pies. Also, what a deal! You don't have to take out a loan to get good pizza and beer here. In fact, you can order beers "from the fridge" for just $2-$3 and even beers on tap or a glass of wine is just $4-$5. Definitely a different vibe than all the new, pricey establishments taking over downtown and the waterfront. I really hope they maintain their charm and deliciousness as they undergo this transition! Thank you for the amazing pizza experiences, Vinnie!

Outstanding service, great tasting pizza pies, clean and bright. Excellent place to take a kiddo and grab a slice and a soda. Beer on tap for the big kids.

Not horrible. Not great. Tried this place a few times- most recently waited the 2.5 hrs for the Sicilian and some garlic knots. They did not add basil to my pizza which is fine but overall it’s just regular pizza, nothing special.

This is hands down my favorite pizza place I've ever eaten at. That is saying something considering my love for pizza. Best pizza, best service! Simply the best.

Solid 3.5. Liked it overall. Nice thin crust NY style pizza; good for folding in half. Price is pretty typical. Would not mind eating it again!Crust has a decent chew. Not too saucy. My friend prefers it with more, I was good as is. Enjoyed their pepperoni.

Great pizza. I had a hazy IPA short glass while I waited. Great customer service. The woman who waited on me was attentive and friendly. My takeout was ready in about the time it took to finish my beer. I'll definitely go back.

Hey vinnie! Can I have my $32 back for this bland “New York style” pizza that you sold me. After all, we’re in a recession and just like you, i work hard for quality.. under all the raw garlic I think I found 1 piece of chicken. ? Thanks vinnie! You the man!

A restaurant so busy it doesn't need your business. I understand having a business/restaurant and being extremely busy- but when you are so busy that you can take online orders and hang up on people who call to order without saying anything is COMPLETELY ASSININE. this place deserve no customers if they can't do the bare minimum of saying, "THANK YOU for calling but unfortunately we're slammed right now, PLEASE try us again at a future time." Never gonna get my money

I stopped by this restaurant for some takeout during my lunch break since it's near the bookstore that I like. They have an extensive Italian-American menu, with a pretty good pasta roster for a place that focuses on pizza. I ordered the arrabbatia, which had a tasty flavor and more-than-adequate amount of spice, especially after I added the pepper flakes. Their bread is pretty yummy with the perfect amount of garlic. Best of all, service was nice and fast, and also the food came super warm. All at a very reasonable price! They've found a new customer in me and I plan to come back for more soon.
