I always try and eat here when I'm in town.We had a great dinner. Our server seemed very busy. He was very attentive but a little pushy. He took a plate away without asking, and we hadn't finished yet. I'm so thankful he didn't take my Pico de Gallo, I packed it all the way back to tri cities!

We love their food. It’s great and I always clean the plate. But out of the last ten times I have gotten take out, five of the orders had something wrong with it. They aren’t complicated orders and I understand mistakes happen. I have worked food service. But an over 50% rate of mistakes is getting old. This isn’t requestion extra salsa and not getting it. It’s requesting no beans and getting only that instead. Or another dish entirely from what we wanted. Going to try a new place.

Tried this place out tonight, and I have to say we were pretty disappointed. It was pretty full, but we were not impressed by the food. It took a while to get orders taken, food out, and even tickets brought out to the table, but we chalked it up to it being busy and like the rest of America apparently understaffed. We ordered margaritas that hardly even had any tequila in it, but our waiter kept asking us if we wanted more drinks and seemed surprised when we kept saying no. Like, maybe if they actually had alcohol in them, we'd pay the prices they charge for them.We had enchiladas, street tacos, and a steak strips plate. Again, it wasn't anything special, and after all the reviews we read prior, we were excited. Overall we just were not impressed with the good or drinks.
Overall, it's a great atmosphere and the food is excellent!

I have enjoyed coming to El porton for years, they are consistently good. Service is always good as well.I wanted to leave a review because they recently provided a large amount of food for my wedding and it was amazing. Our first catered bailed out last minute, we were panicking and we called El porton and they kindly agreed to provide a "taco bar" for our wedding. All of the food was well packaged, ready on time, and delicious.
