Love, love, love ordering from here! Have been loving this restaurant since they were on 56th and Tieton. Over the years they moved and are now on Front Street. Be sure to call ahead for takeout since they are so good they get very busy. I usually enjoy her Enchiladas de Pollo, which I occasionally switch for her Taco Supreme, but my family loves her Chiles Rellenos the most. Definitely a place to try of you are in the area.

Mercedes is hands down our favorite Mexican food! When our son comes home, he makes a point of going to get his favorite food. Our favorites are the burrito and chile relleno but everything we’ve tried is wonderful. The mild salsa is by far the best salsa we’ve had. Everything is made from scratch and we’re treated like family.

Delicious tamales! $3 each but they are a good size and chock full of meat! (Pork) even their masa is yummy ha.. also really enjoyed their dark red salsa (self serve bar) - smokey tomato + garlic and just.. heaven!I had been missing my NYC street tamale guy but I think I finally got my fix!You pay at the counter and can sit down to eat - was nice to sit in a booth and enjoy our quick meal.Hubs got the beef burrito which was huge and yummy too ??

My wife is a tamale connoisseur and she rates theirs the best in Washington! We also really enjoy their sopitos and rice and beans.

I got a torta there once and it was gross the bread was soggy and the meat was hard and when I got a strawberry water there I don't know what was up with it but it tasted horrible like a rotten strawberry mixed with syrup. And I had to wait 25 minutes for the food and it was pretty overpriced. the only reason why i'm giving it a two people the people were decent.

I really wasn't impressed. The food was OK, but certainly not "Great". It was all counter service, no table service. Order at the counter, pay before dining, get your own plate from the counter. They didn't even ask what I wanted to drink. Plastic utensils. No napkins, they used restroom paper towels. NO Chips & Salsa! Better experience at El Porton Del Pepe, El Mirador, or Ay Caramba.

The Lincoln Ave location is closed, they have moved and merged with Erik's Son of Mercedes location. I just ate there (1 Nov 2022) and it was Great!!! You have to go to North Front St. kitty corner across the street from "Main Stop on the Ave" restaurant. I also talked with the three other people eating there and they also agreed this is the gem to eat at. I had the steak supreme and it was truly a supreme meal!! Ask to have avocado added, they have avos but are not listed on the menu.

You can go to what use to be Erik's The Mercedes Kid location. They have merged at that location. It will be worth your trip as I just ate there and I will return every time I am in town. The steak supreme is just that...Supreme!!!

There is no better restaurant in this state. Both on character and food they have perfected their craft and they are friendly and genuine.

Craving enchiladas? Horchata? Are you hungry at all? Stop what you're doing, put your rear in gear and get over here.Seriously, so good. Yum yum yum. Worth every penny.
