The food carries the day, which is what you want in a restaurant. I love the spicy mushroom tan tan ramen but haven't strayed too far into the limited menu. Great broth and succulent veggies make for a guilt-free meal. This place is a hidden gem, speaking of the food. The decor is wanting, as the framed art clashes with the lighting. This was my first visit to tokkiya and I was pleasantly surprised. There are pros and cons to this place that I think will help people who haven't been here before. Pros: food is high quality. Service was good. There is a 40s and under crowd with majority being 30s. I felt I finally found where all the people who are cool and not obsessed with tap beer go.
