“Had called several days in advance for a full pan of lasagna and 4 pizzas for a family Christmas party. Pickup was at 11:30 on a Sunday. The food was ready as promised. The lasagna was fantastic! Unlike most restaurants, the Blue Heron team knows how to run their show. Once you make it to a table and make the obvious choice to do the all you can eat fish and chicken fry (on Wednesdays and Fridays) you truly won't be waiting long before food arrives at your table! “There is nothing better than having a nice meal lake side. They have a beautiful patio area that my wife and I can spends hours just staring at while eating French fries. Every time we go they are busy so you'll see the staff buzzing around making sure everyone has what they need. The food is great. The menu truly has something for everyone. This is also one of my wife's favorite spots for bloody marry's. Go eat here, if not for anything else the lovely views of the lake front.”

“We just discovered Scungillis's as it's a bit off the beaten path. We have tried multiple sandwiches, soups, stromboli, and desserts. Everything we tried has been amazing. It's great quality and large servings. This is my favorite lunch spot now.They have a catering menu too which looks awesome. We plan on ordering from it in the future. We are lucky to such a gem in the area.”

“This taco truck is a MUST. The food is more than reasonably priced and is of the highest quality. It's fresh and always serviced quickly. The truck is clean and well maintained, and all ingredients are fresh and plentiful. I've had the beef tacos several times and cannot complain about them at all. My most recent visit included a beef burrito and it exceeded my expectations just like all their food items. The service could not be better. The friendly staff goes out of their way to provide a quality meal with top notch quality and fresh ingredients. They have always served the food with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. If you are looking for good food, with quality ingredients and great taste served with cars from a friendly staff this taco truck is a MUST. Go there incr and you will become a loyal customer”

“I truly enjoyed the customer service given to my husband and me from DJ. DJ was very helpful and patient with us as we asked questions about the menu. DJ's customer service was amazingly friendly. “First and foremost the best coffee in the state of Wisconsin. The owners are fabulous, caring and accommodating. Homemade everything. I always go for the cake of the day. She keeps it under a glass cake plate, right on the counter by the checkout!!”

“Great little local sandwich shop. The woman working was super sweet and told me that thier meats come from Elkhorn, Wisconsin and their bread come from Sciortino's Bakery on Brady Street (I used to work there in college!). I got turkey with provolone and all the fixin's then added pesto too. Even the pesto tasted homemade! It was a great, hearty sandwich. And I got a punch card! I'll definitely be back. I'll try the soup next time too.”

We felt no need to hurry but we're able to longer and enjoy a good visit with one another. It was my first visit to The Local but it won't be my last. Be careful, though, as you may miss it because, at first glance, it looks like a house! BTW, the fries are outstanding!”
