Came in on a hungry day to try some authentic Venezuelan food. Ordered an arepa with shredded chicken, avocado and cheese. Also ordered a cheese empanada. To wash it all down, a refreshing passion fruit drink.The food was perfectly season, the portions were very generous for todays climate, the price was suitable as well.Got some food to go, and already planning my next visit with friends and family.
My oh my. Deliciius and worth the wait! The pork arepa was tender, plentiful and had good quality fresh cheese. The plantains were crisp and lightly salted to perfection. The green sauce that came with it was was fresh cilantro sauce that packed a lot of flavor but not heat. The passionfruit tea was very fruity but not kool aid sugar! Arepa’s place is an absolute hidden gem at Brookfield Mall. The food is fabulous and the service is wonderful, the employees are so kind. I went out of my way to get lunch here on my day off - they’re THAT good.
