Normally I hate going to places so close to closing time. But I was craving Chinese and this place delivered. This place reminds me of a little restaurant in my home town. Even the food was similar. Now I don't have to fly over 2 thousand miles to get a little taste of home. The service was impeccable. And the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in a fancy place. It's small but perfect. Price was great for the quality of the food. Simply delicious!
I can't speak for the food in general because I am an orange chickenaholic and being that I am, I am very picky. However, I will say that say that if you are willing to give a small restaurant a chance, the service and positive atmosphere will give a new place to put on your list of regular dining locations.
I have visited the China Palace for over a quarter of a century after my office moved to downtown Green Bay in 1997. After I retired I continued to enjoy their great food. Wonderful, gracious service. Now that I'm wheelchair-bound most of the time I enjoy an occasional treat meal delivered to the the house. I'm really sorry that they are closing at the end of December, 2023. I will miss them.
