“Stopped by for the first time today after heading back home from a Wisconsin trip with my family and the BBQ was superb (Used to live in TN too!), but what really made it for me today was the service from the folks here, in particular, Kat! She was extremely kind to my whole family and 2 kids, and provided table service that most full service restaurants should! (This is a counter service restaurant- seriously above and beyond). 110% would recommend.Kid-friendliness: Staff is extremely accommodating for children.“
“Famous for its garbage plate, and being in Kenosha downtown for almost 100 years (opened back in 1926), Frank's Diner is definitely a great place and a home place for a lot of people. As someone who moved just to Kenosha last year, we have been trying to get in for a long time. The space is small, I mean very small, it is an old food truck/railcar kinda style, there are bar area and booth area. Expect a wait if you come on weekends. (As the sign in the diner says, the inner deco was legit haha) We came in Tuesday around noon and were able to sit right away at the bar, right opposite the stove and grill lol. It was quite a show watching the cook cook while we wait for our food, and I loved seeing it. Just a very local and family feeling. We had great food! The specials (Irish sausage and gravy, corned beef omelette) were tasty and the meat omelette was next level. The pancake is huge, and delicious for sure. The food is also priced well! Overall, nice experience, and we will come back again and hopefully also no wait next time!“
“Everything was great. Got a large chicken parm pizza, as well as meatballs and spaghetti very delicious. Gaby, our waitress, did a wonderful job and made sure everything was taken care of for us. Coming on a busy night, nice to see so many smiles among the staff!“
“What a great place! Stopped in on my way home from work, and what a great surprise! Fries and Cauliflower were crispy and hot. The steak sandwich was delicious. And the chocolate malt was awesome! I will definitely be stopping in again. I'm a server also, and those girls are phenomenal! I was to hungry to take a picture!“
“I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. It was very good although it was not able to be eaten as a sandwich, it was more like meal that would be served on pasta vs a bun. The fries seemed like they were double fried, they were standard with the meal, would try other options next time. Had 2 Red ales that were good as well.“
“Best baked cod so tender it melts in your mouth! And at a reasonable price ?Humongous meatball bombers! Large serving of meatloaf with gravy. French fries that have a unique texture that are so addictive. And no one can beat there amazing soups!!! We can't go a Friday without having the baked cod!!!????“
“What a cute and cozy restaurant! My friends and I stopped here for their brunch specials and absolutely loved it! The staff were incredibly kind and efficient and the food was delicious. We highly enjoyed our time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!“
“I came to watch the band and noticed a sign on the wall talking about barbecue baby back ribs.I usually have a hard time finding places that cook them so they fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. This place said there's did and guess what? MY RACK OF RIBS TRULY DID "FALL OFF THE BONE AND MELT MY MOUTH" (for $20)Now, I might just come here to eat every week! lol“
“See my UPDATE below. Hillcrest seemed to be on its way down. They cut their hours (now only breakfast and lunch) and discontinued their Senior Menu as well as their loyalty program.Still, they have great food at reasonable prices.UPDATE: Hillcrest seems to have survived what I thought was a bad business decision. Seems to be going strong. Try the (huge) Hillcrest omelette - maybe split it with a companion. Or try their delicious fruit crepes. My favorites are blueberry and strawberry. (HINT: ask 'em to warm the fruit.)BONUS: (for me at least) I like my bacon crisp and the Hillcrest cooks truly know how to prepare bacon that way! ??“
“Friendly staff, excellent food, in a nice restaurant. Food was very reasonably priced. I had the elk burger, which I highly recommend, while my tablemates had scallops lobster ravioli , and chicken.(all were excellent). Make a reservation . Parking was tight but there is ample street parking nearby. Highly recommend.“
“This restaurant has been in downtown Kenosha for over 50 year's and is truly delightful. The owners are such nice people and the restaurant is beautiful. The food is typical Greek diner fare and very tasty.I feel nostalgic about this restaurant and view it as a piece of Kenosha history ?“
“Fantastic taqueria type restaurant inside a gas station. You are able to order ahead by calling. I tried the gyro and steak taco. Gyro was ok (I think my mind was missing the yogurt sauce), but the steak was awesome. Surprisingly a WI establishment can make a Chicago Dog... Lol. It was good.“
“I know we all take for granted our servers from time to time, but sometimes their efforts mean more than usual. I was here with my wife and 2 children to celebrate my birthday, but my children were both a WRECK (mostly hangry) this evening. I almost turned the car around twice on the way to dinner. Most parents have been there, going out to eat is often just not that relaxing with kids.Well, Alexia was our server tonight, and thanks to her, I had the best birthday dinner. She was SO PLEASANT. The kids got their lives together with the extra rolls and butter she got out right away. And everything else she did for us from there on out was top notch. Never wanted for anything, and all the extras and customizations we requested were brought on the first trip back with food.Don't know how often we'll be making the half hour trek to this location, though it is the closest to home, but I can guarantee when we do we will ask for Alexia every time. Thanks so much for giving my family an A+ experience in celebrating my birthday.Texas Roadhouse, Alexia better be on your radar for any and every opportunity available to her, cause if not, you're messing up.“
“The food was absolutely delicious. Had a 1/2 cheeseburger and cheese curds. The cheese curds were especially great, not too greasy and I could tell they were fresh. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I paid extra for ranch and the server forgot it all together. Server was very nice though! Food came quick as well!“
“Enjoy a piece of Kenosha history as well as some really good food. I have heard only positive comments about most items on the menu, my go-to, the turkey melt, is delicious! That sauce mixed with grilled onions is brilliant. If you are in Kenosha, you should have breakfast/lunch here.“
“What a cool hidden place in Kenosha. I was recommended here for their fish fry and it did not disappoint. The back patio was open and it cause a bit of a rush. Although the bartenders and servers were busy, they kept a smile on their face and were extremely nice, personable, and funny! We will definitely be coming back.“
“Amazing food drinks! Their drink menu is really unique with a lot of flavor mixtures Service was a bit slow, mainly cause they were slammed and clearly short wait staff. Restaurant itself is very clean, but the music is SUPER LOUD, and with how many people were inside the restaurant, it was like trying to talk at a concert.“
“Best bar in Kenosha. No nonsense dive bar... always good music and people. They make a great old fashioned that you can sip while enjoying the seasonal beer selection. This is the quintessential downtown Kenosha hang. We stop in when Anthony is bartending and he always makes us feel like part of the family :)“
“Perfect spot for dinner in downtown Kenosha. Food was excellent, service was top notch, and great drink selection. Definitely make a reservation as the place ia not large and fills quick. We can't wait to go back in the summer and sut on the patio.“
“Such a friendly environment! The food was great (thanks Benny ?), the atmosphere was a "at home " place (thanks Monica ?).The place I will continue to frequent (thanks K Town Cafe! ?).Kid-friendliness: The staff treated my grandson so well! When a 5-year old hugs the waitress good bye, you know that's a kid friendly place.“
“AMAZING fish fry. We sat outside where they have some outside tables with umbrellas. It was 97 degrees that day but still chose to stay for cocktails and fish. Reviews for the Friday fish fry were exceptional….they were right. Union park taverns fish fry was amazing. You won’t be disappointed.“
“They did a wonderful celebration for a baby shower in one of their reserved rooms. I was very impressed, they even had cloth napkins ?. Pizza's and salad ? very nice variety of pizza's and they were good. We will plan to come back sometime “
“I am visiting from Florida and I had to review this restaurant. Every drink and every appetizer and the lobster and Mac and the ribeye ? was absolutely delicious. I must be honest I have been to several restaurants before this one and I feel relieved to of found somewhere the chefs take pride in what they cook. Thank You guys for making my Friday night enjoyable with the best drinks and dinner. A++“
“It's nice to be here eating, enjoying a good beer and listening to the beautiful Latin melodies.Being here makes me feel at home and in my country. The attention is excellent. Thank youParking: Easy to get to and it is very pleasant to be here in this place.“
“Dinner was fine. Our first time there and we had sandwiches for dinner. Both were fine. I expected a little more refinement, but what we had wasn't bad. Service was fine. Location nice. It's a shame such a beautiful spot isn't utilized for a more upscale menu.“
“First visit and this is a very nice place. Everything is fresh and clean. Plenty of tables. The service was good, preferred more trips with the coffee pot and asking for refills on drinks. The meal was prepared to order and arrived hot to the table. I would advise asking for crispy hash brown potatoes when getting your meal. Otherwise a very nice place for breakfast and lunch!“
