Had an amazing date night for my girlfriends bday! We enjoyed everything we had and service was a bit slow but we enjoyed not feeling rushed!! The scallops were incredible, and the steak was very good as well! They even brought a special dessert for the birthday. One of the better spots in downtown Madison!

Easy to draw a comment, in comparison to last nights very similar meal, At, Pig in. a Fur Coat. By comparison, the food here was significantly and uniquely more interesting and flavorful. From the garlic green beans, to the scallops, to The many other dishes we tried, all four diners raved about each one. We ate in the wine room, which to our gathering, was much more pleasant and a significantly quieter experience in which to dine compared to the bar room. The drinks were phenomenal, and the pace of the evenings service and meal were perfection. The server was also very cognizant of my celiac, GF, needs. I think her name was something like McKenzie, but not sure. She was great

The food was great. Absolutely loved the salmon (better than the steak in my opinion). The drinks were well made, too. Not too sweet. The only reason I’m giving Graft 4 stars instead of 5 is because our waiter was kind of stand-offish.

Amazing food. Lovely decor. A true gem of Madison's downtown. We highly recommend the cocktails, fantastic!

My husband and I dined with 6 friends and when a staff member said they could just bring out food for the group (instead of individually ordering), we agreed. Great choice! Each dish was small, but there were many and the variety was lovely. So delicious!

I’ve eaten all over the world. This is the most underestimated, understated restaurant I’ve ever been to. Little fanfare but it deserves its own chefs table episode. The food is absolutely baller and the service is top notch…like Alinea or French Laundry top notch…it just doesn’t look like it from the street. Please do yourself a favor and come here. Get the green beans.

Posh - ample tasting options for small plates (seriously you could put together a whole meal of these tasty small plates), and exquisite service.

Pricey for tapas-style portions. It tasted really good, but wasn't quite worth the hype. Decent wine list but small pours. They were good with my nut allergy though, which I appreciated!

Perfect end to a Wednesday night. It felt as though we were at a chefs table. The food was delicious and spaced appropriately. The service was impeccable. An amazing woman helped us choose a dish to cut through the buttery rich amazing plates we had just finished. They served in the order we chose. We began with yellowtail crudo, paired with grapefruit fennel, mint, and taro. It was absolutly amazing. More of the taro would have been nice. The next course was: tortellini ricotta filled tortellini, on an asparagus puree with asparagus on garnish lightly seasoned with ramp flavors for amazing, rich, creamy, buttery, and the asparagus was still shining as well as.. scallops with an accompaniment of chickpea puree, peperonata, and arugula delicious flavors, rich, creamy, buttery After the two rich dishes we decided it was necessary to cut the rich flavors and went for the Mixed Greens. This spring mix was accompanied with radish, cucumber, sherry-basil tossed in vinaigrette dressing Amazing as well. For our final "large plate" We chose the dry aged "manhattan fillet" cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The manhattan fillet was accompanied by Sunchoke, mushroom, red, and wine truffle. This is an amazing meal if I were to remove one dish that night it would've been the scallops even though it was delicious. , May prefer to remove the asparagus tortellini.

An excellent dining experience with the atmosphere, great staff, and a wine list to suit any palette. Make reservations, relax, and enjoy the fine dining. The food is excellent, I had the short ribs, my wife the filet. Both amazing. The cook perfect. Don't pass on the wine. The host was knowledgeable and supportive. The Graft is located in downtown Madison, Wi., which make for a beautiful evening in a stellar downtown.
