I have been going to miko poke for years. They just changed their menu and somethings impressed and some fell short. The new edamame hummus is tasty but the cracked serving size is doesn't get you 1/2 way through and the portions aren't that big so it was a bit of a disappointment. I would have like to have some veggies for dipping. If you are dining in be prepared to wait as your orders don't get priority so it can take longer than you think to get your food. The new sauce formulas are good. The bowl presentation is nice.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan optionsDietary restrictions: They go out of there way to make it easy for people with dietary needsParking: Depending on the day the parking lot can get quite full

It was our first time dining here. We had no idea of what we wanted. The girl behind the counter was very patient and made some suggestions for us. Food was really good. I would definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: I loved that the food was all gluten-free and dairy free. Lots of healthy choices to make your own bowl.

The frustration for a sad meal is beyond belief for this experience. We have been to Miko multiple times and go out of our way past other poke places. Sadly tonight's experience will make me consider my next time poke experience. The staff is always so nice and helpful, which is why I have to give 4 stars. When I rate the food to a 1 Star, it's due to the team that simple cannot follow or read the instructions for how to make the poke bowl. I have allergies for starters, so when I order I'm ordering what I can eat and alterations are not acceptable. We were watching them make the bowl, they initially made the wrong size, I asked and they started over. My thought was did this create the problem, yet still the same slip for what goes in right?!My bowl was supposed to be mixed greens and rice then built with with again ingredients I can eat. I don't do spices and have allergies. I got all rice, dried onions instead of garlic, and something spice on top.Nothing worse then spending this much on something that cannot be eaten!Dietary restrictions: Food allergies

Nice place, was conveniently open on a Monday kinda late. Food was really fresh, had a bowl with steak and greens that was on special, pretty tasty. Had a fruit sour beer in a can, everyone else seemed pretty happy.

Ate there once, very impressed with the food quality and the atmosphere. Bowls were really good, and we have a kid who can't do dairy and Miko was great for dairy allergies!Dietary restrictions: Very good for dairy allergies

I absolutely love how fresh Miko Poke is! We go here for lunch at least once a week for a quick and healthy option. My only gripe is the amount of protein we’ve been getting lately. I even order double salmon sometimes to get more. I feel like the bowl has a lot of rice and not a lot of protein sometimes. Would like to see more protein in these bowls consistently!

I built my own bowel during this visit. Fresh fish, nice sauce, and a variety of side choices. Would definitely visit again.

Needs to be redone. Needs to be redone. Needs to be redone. Needs to be redone. Needs to be redone.Time to revisit my original post. I first wrote about my experience in real time, but then I decided I wanted to write something different, but I had already sent it to the yelp factory cloud, and deleting altogether wasn't going well, and I hoped to have more details than I had time for. Also, I needed to make my change before the possibility of a feast response. One came as I was just adding the redone pieces to fill the required amount of letters. So today, a week later I am adding something finally. I'm n a word, the place appeared closed at the time I stopped in. The sign was not turned on and the lights didn't appear to even be turned on, that was likely due to the glare. The hours open were clearly telling me to get out of my car and check. The door wasn't locked, so two possibilities were presented, the first was the entire menu might be open to self service which was my favorite of the two. The other, that was what actually became the way things worked out. Two young people were in attendance and both were very polite. This alone was better than my previous experience with a poke place I'll say I've been to one too many times, and I'll suggest it's near my home in Middleton and it's not the sushi place across the street. These workers were actually not put off to have a customer interrupting their quiet social media time, unlike the unnamed one that has two words in the name. One isn't poke. No more slagging the competitor. Getting suggestions wasn't really a thing I was expecting nor was it needed, but the back and forth between myself and the two was helpful. The Spicy tuna bowl was and usually is my go to when ever I want something such as this. Salmon is my long time love, but more and more, I'm finding salmon that didn't originate in the same left coast region as I did, simply isn't up to the mark. Aside from the unlit restaurant I found the place to be both inviting as well as clean as I absolutely expect when the restaurant serves items that might be considered raw. I'll certainly be back in short order for more of the menu in a soon as possible type thing. The owner did comment on my initial words, which was odd since they were neither positive nor actually anything. They were literally the first four words repeated just as a place marker.

I am really disappointed by this. The rice was overcooked which made it mushy but also some of it was crunchy... which is weird. The bowl was 80% carrots and cucumber, there was no balance whatsoever in the food. I also ordered double salmon and was disappointed to see such a small portion. The salmon was very grainy as well. These bowls are not cheap, as this regular size with the extra was $17.There are MANY better Poke places in Madison and this is the bottom of the barrel. I recommend Poke Poke and Poke it Up. They are not stingy with their protein and the rice is spriny, fluffy and perfectly chewy. This place should be a last resort if you're craving poke.
