Pasqual's Hilldale

This American tex-mex restaurant has incredible chips (as in the best I've ever had) but everything else simply meets expectations. I purchased the nachos once in light of how great the chips are but the 3mm of grease at the bottom of my plate was quite off putting. My recommendation: buy there chips in a local Madison Grocery store, and forgo the restaurant experience.

There was lots of excitement regarding coming here to eat; except it was Pasquale in East Washington Ave.however, Hilldale is super uppidy and makes anyone feel out of place. We ended up giving this Pasquale a try, I must say I was a bit disappointed.You have to pay for chips and cheese, it’s not in the house. For nachos, it is an up charge of 5.95. I cannot stress enough how hit or miss Pasquale's can be. Their blue corn pancakes? Huge hit. The spiciness of their salsa? Miss. Their nachos? Hit. Their mole sauce? Huge, huge, huge miss.Honestly, I've never had mole before, but I know it shouldn't taste like Hershey's poured onto pork enchiladas. It ruined and otherwise fine meal.Get what you know, and you'll be fine.
