And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.“

“Really fun restaurant/bar. We got to the restaurant in the middle of the afternoon and it was absolutely packed. I usually would have walked away honestly... but my friends really wanted to eat here, so I reluctantly agreed to stay. We were seated in 10 minutes! I was shocked at how fast it was. I would have guessed it would have taken an hour. Anyway, they took our order right away and the food was fast and excellent. I had a salad with blackened fish. EXCELLENT! I recommend it for sure. Not sure when it's less busy, if ever... but worth a wait if you have to.“

We weren’t a fan of the poached egg that was on top, but that was more of a preference thing. It had a sweet taste to it, so it was just different, not bad. Our waiter Jose was great! I had ordered an iced coffee which was coffee pour over ice (I was expecting creamer with it) Jose had no problem bringing over creamer for me which made it so much better! Only spent $44 (w/o tip) which was fair. We would not mind returning when visiting Milwaukee again!“

If I were a richer woman, I would walk in and get one of everything on the menu. The first time I tried it, I was so impressed, that the next night when I had reservations to another "foodie" Restaurant, I left after appetizers and came back to Odd Duck. This place makes me want to bring them little duckies. And I don't say that lightly. I want to hold them and love them and make them mine. The restaurant, that is. Not the ducks. Those I could leave or take. BUT I love the place so Much, that I accept and respect their love for the ducks and will take them just as they are. Am I proposing to a restaurant? Mayhaps. Try it and tell me you're not in love.“

“Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!“

“I was a special guest on a special occasion, and though surpisingly the restaurant wouldn't have been my first choice (because of the lack of spices), I appreciate every single moment of the food, presentation and our server's professionalism and kindness. The description says the decor is minimalist, and I argue that the food was too... And it was great to be exposed to this in this manner. We ordered the chef's menu which was a fantastical plate after plate served up for us. They seriously consider allergies and restrictions which is top-tier. Reserve hours out of your time for this gastronomocal experience and of course, getting lost in conversation with your date. Oddly, I remember getting a small cookie at the end--that was probably a piece that wasn't needed and changed the taste in my mouth a little. Perhaps a wrapped handmade candy to take away as a momento, or maybe I just need better willpower? Love this place, would return on a special occasion splurge.“

Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Mind you, it was one of the best pieces of bread I’ve had in a long time, but may also be the generous amount of butter you can slather on it. The ambience is like a 1960’s living room …. The food menu is full of great versions of popular pup foods, and the staff is always really friendly and good at what they do. You do have to order everything at the bar (vs. servers and table service) which can be a little cumbersome and hectic when the pub gets busy, but it’s not really something that takes away from the experience as a whole. I enjoyed their schtick of roasting peanuts and then forwarding them via their interior "drop zones," a series of tubes that deliver the peanuts to your table without a server attending to it. The cool interior includes replica bombs and cool artwork. Their stools are very cool, with unique bottoms. Our server was brand new, and she rocked it. The restaurant manager was friendly and helpful. I loved my Classic AJ Burger. It was tasty and well prepared, and adding bacon to a big burger was a good idea. I also enjoyed the tater tots.“

Parking can get tight but there is a paid lot nearby. The place was pretty busy which caused slower service, but staff remained attentive. The bar and dining room both had plenty of seating. This would be a great spot for large groups! I ordered a glass of wine and the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich with a side caeser. I was disappointed in the wine list, especially for an Italian restaurant. The glass of wine I ordered was pretty stale which makes me think they might not sell a lot of wine. Again, odd for an Italian restaurant. The sandwich was excellent. It had perfectly crisp eggplant with a flavorful marinara and plenty of cheese. I like that they serve giardinera to add some extra crunch and spice to the sandwich. I would love to return for the pizza that I read so much about! The food was amazing!“

There are lots of picnic tables inside and outside, and gas fire pits on the patio in the Fall and Winter. Views of Lake Michigan are top notch as this spot is right on the water. The menu selection is pretty big for a Biergarten with sandwiches, flat bread, a variety of appetizers and drinks. They even have a gluten-free* crust for the flatbread. We did a few sandwiches and a flatbread and thought the food was pretty good. This place is really for the ambiance and drinks so probably won't be the best meal you've ever had but the food serves its purpose. Note - they have beer, seltzers and sangria. Let me just say once we got home and opened up our 'pizza sized delivery boxes' we were stunned ! Each contained mounds of perfectly crisped French fries delicately sprinkled with parsley & dill , 2 containers of creamy flavorful tartar sauce , 2 slices of yummy marble rye slathered in sweet butter, a generous serving of piquant coleslaw and ample serving of PURR-FECTLY breaded & fried fish fillets + 3 fresh lemon wedges to add a bit of zest. Seriously in a post COVID world where restaurant prices continue to rise and in many cases quality & quantity slips an utterly delicious dining experience like this deserves all the accolades we can muster! “Came here on a whim on a Saturday without a reservation. They have a bar and side lounge area where you can order drinks and appetizers.Appetizers were great, drinks are great. The layout in the lounge is a bit awkward, and the bartender had to search for me to deliver the food. And it was an awkward table to chair height to eat food.“

“We came here recently with our two young kids. The host sat us in the back, which was good because it's a pretty lively place and the kids are still easily distracted, especially during dinner time. In any case everyone loved the food. I think it was my third time here and it's been consistently good. The sausages are of high quality with interesting toppings. There's a small variety of comforting sides, my favorites probably being the poutine (though I haven't tried the mushroom version) and loaded fries. The service was great - our server was accommodating and patient and made the experience all the better.“

I had the birria burrito, great...fruity pebble waffles, good balance of both waffle and fruity pebbles (not excessive), had a smoothie, which was full of sweetness but worth it, taste didn't disappoint. all for under 30$ with 2 ppl. “lovely local diner with good food and good service [cash only]I tried this place out for the first time this past weekend after being recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. It's a small restaurant that physically is showing signs of its age, but the good food and friendly staff more than make up for it in my opinion. They're a cash only business and only open breakfast-lunch, but prices are absolutely reasonable and I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area and looking for a bite to eat.Parking: parking next to the restaurant is limited to a few street spots in front, the next door liquor store does have a parking lot and there is free street parking nearby if you're willing to walk a block“

“Easter Sunday and one of the few places I found open. I was out for a @WiscoMary Sunday Bloody Mary, and I was not disappointed. Magoo's has their own Tito's infused vodka with jalapenos, their own special Bloody Mary mix, their Worcestershire sauce includes dry rub seasoning. My bloody was served with a cheese curd, before stick, and olive . Connor was an excellent bartender/server. Definitely a great place to watch the game and have their delicious wings. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food.“

“Last night (Sat night), my daughter & I get out of the hockey game among thousands from the arena while the college basketball game at the F.F had also let out. We first walk in to Major Goolsbys & I was thinking "It will be the same old situation with these new times of age; having to wait for a table, then wait much longer to get service, especially with two major games nearby just letting out.", gee was I mistaken! There were still several tables available in your bar which has a high capacity & already had many attendees. We take one, within a minute a server (shorter young blonde whose hair was frizzied & in a tail ending at her upper back, said she went to UWM, I should've gotten her name but I gave her a generous tip) calmly & nicely came right up to us and took a drink order, then came right back with the drinks we had ordered, got our food order which we didnt have to wait long for it to be prepared at all (your hamburger & onions rings were delicious btw). The place was rockin'. I commend the entire staff for running a efficient bar & grill that has been a Milwaukee institution! You guys & "Someplace Else" on Water St. which burned down in the late 80's set the standard for Milwaukee's places to go to for drinks & bar food in which other establishments merely try to copy.“

“One of our go-to places for happy hour! They have great drink deals and the food is also so good. I normally get the house sangria but this time I tried some sour cherry and lime spritzer. It wasn't on the menu for some reason but the bartender recommended it, as it's very popular. for food, we went with the breakfast poutine - always a good choice. And we tried the pancake batter fried cheese curds which were AMAZING. They come with maple syrup for dipping and it's unreal. Such a cute spot and it never disappoints!“

“I came at prime brunch time and was welcomed warmly by both the barista behind the counter and also a waitress when I transitioned into the dining area. The person I was with and I had a lot to chat about and our waitress came back like three times before we finally ordered our drinks; she was so kind and didn't pressure us to keep it moving. My Bloody Mary was good: it included a huge pickle and a chaser. I got the spicy chorizo hash and it was huge; the potatoes aren't crispy though--that's the only thing I wished were different. The sourdough toast was perfect and I'd come back again because everything on the menu looked really good!“

“This place is underrated. The service is quick, friendly, personable and efficient. Even when it's busy you will only wait for roughly ten minutes for your order. And the servers approach you as you walk in. Breakfast prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants charging far much more for it and dinner has a wide variety of food such as multiple steaks and seafood such as calamari, lobster shrimp and tons of fish like rainbow trout, cod and salmon.“
