Friday Night Fish Fry was terrific. Perfect light breading. Lots of choices for sides including very good potato pancakes. My wife strayed off the Fish Fry menu and had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was the best she's had outside of Nashville. Another person in our party had the baked cod which in my opinion at some places can be kind of dry, but at Benno's it was nice and moist. This place started the beer game in Milwaukee and is still doing it the right way. 40ish beers on tap, an excellent fish fry on Friday's and the staff is always on top of their game. If you haven't been to downtown west allis in a while this is a must stop place to check out.
