“Unique lattes that make this a special coffee shop to come to in Milwaukee. I had the experimental Pirate Lyfe latte and I somewhat regret that decision. There was a distinct bitterness that didn’t go well with the other flavors. The atmosphere of the cafe is very calm and this makes a great place to read or study. The worker was nice and the latte making process is very visible. It was a cool place but it could’ve been better.“
“The most incredible brunch food! Come support this women-owned, Latina-owned business.Everything on the menu is fabulous, but I can’t help but order the Carnita Hash Bowl every time. Such amazing flavors, veggies, and a generous portion of pork. The Serrano Pork Belly bowl is also incredible with crispy yet juicy and tender pork belly. You won’t leave hungry.P.S. their garlic bloody mary might be my favorite in the city. Amazing, fresh bloody mix with a Modelo chaser!P.P.S. Check their website for their weekly drink specials for a $6 drink of the day!“
“Favorite place to stop before I go in for my internship to get my pick me up tea and my shake for lunch. Always excited to try a new flavor and talk to the owner who always is open for conversation. To say it’s become my new healthy habit is an understatement it’s a part of my lifestyle and I absolute love being able to go to 4one4 with it being so close by to my internship.“
“Very nice place. Food was great. Service was wonderful. The atmosphere was good. It wasn't busy when we went but even if it was full it feels like the tables are spread out enough to where you don't feel packed in. Food came out quickly. The portion was good too.“
“I absolutely love this place! My bagel was absolutely perfect and as the breakfast sandwich, just to die for! The service was excellent and super fast. I’ll definitely be making this a regular stop.Parking: I went at 11:30 and had no issues finding a spot.“
“1st time going here. There were so many people ahead of me when I walked in, but it went pretty quickly. My niece and I were seated in about 15-20 min!The food was very good. Prices a tad high for breakfast. We both had a skillet. Will definitely go againWheelchair accessibility: I use a walker and had no issues maneuvering.“
“The açaí flavor at Sweet Joy Brazilian Cafe tastes just like what it does in Brazil! This place is a good way to taste the Brazilian Açaí in Wisconsin. I got my açaí bowl to-go & it was an easy delivery process. A few things I would change are making the bowls bigger (only one size) & making the açaí not as icy. I would come back here again.“
“Super HIP place. Great bagels. Thank you Wisconsin Foodie. Bagels fresh and delicious. On weekends the line might be outdoors, and the line moves well. Had the Latke waffle! Yummy and crunchy. If you don't know what a Latke is, look it up or better yet, surprise yourself.“
“I really enjoy this cafe. Always great selections of coffee and snacks. The cafe can get very busy and occasionally doesn't have enough seats and enough staff to help wipe down tables and take out trash frequently during the rush times.“
“The smash burgers are amazing. The paninis are huge and delicious. The coffee is Milwaukee's own Pilcrow!!!!The bar is delicious. The lower level vault is a speak easy that is so fun. I enjoy karaoke Tuesdays but it seems like lots going on all the time.“
“What a lovely coffee oasis in Milwaukee's lower east side. Stopped by here on a Saturday morning for bites and the hope of an espresso drink. Since it's winter, their seating options are somewhat limited, but we were able to get a hightop table (right near the heater no less!). I ordered a caramel mocha made with almond milk. What a lovely beverage. Their espresso is clean and smooth and of the highest quality. Neither the chocolate nor caramel were overly sweet--it was delicious. I got their M40 commuter breakfast sandwich. It comes with egg, sausage, smoked ham, pepper jack cheese, and house made cheese sauce on a toasted english muffin. I had them nix the ham and swapped out the pepper jack for cheddar. I think the house made cheese sauce must be pepper jack based as they didn't add that either (no biggie). It made for a basic but tasty breakfast sandwich. Their space is amazing for summer with plenty of outdoor and indoor/outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back in the warmer months. The only slightly bizarre thing is there is also a Nomad bar on the corner (about half a block away). I'm sure it's part of the same biz but is definitely separate. We wandered in there looking for coffee (our mistake). So, if you find yourself in a bar, exit and go down the block/side street a bit and you'll find it! Get to it!“
“Got the specialty flight and in my opinion the coffee flavor was not strong enough. Could be personal preference but the coffees were like sweet water. I’ll go one more time to get a regular latte to see if it was just the specialty drinks that lacked coffee strength. Also, maybe the way they are is fine for others so overall worth a try.“
“Root Beer Chai! This is one of the specials and it was so good. I forgot to take a photo until I was home and it was gone. Subtle, balanced flavors. I added soy milk and I recommend iced. Some merch available and cute seating nearby. Highly recommend. Thank you!“
“I’ve frequented this establishment the since the early 2000’s. They have consistently had a great atmosphere and staff. I saw another review that said they have the best chai tea latte and they are not wrong. Interesting adult menu, I can’t wait to come back and try.“
“BEST cortado i’ve ever had—so smooth, and the homemade whipped cream on top was the perfect addition. the barista even explained that he added coffee bean shavings on top, which was a sweet touch ?we stopped in after going to retique around the corner, making for a lovely afternoon “
“I was introduced to this super cool coffee shop through a Yelp event and, for that, I am super grateful. It's a coffee bar with a large indoor space - lots of tables on the main floor and there's a second floor with additional seating as well. In addition to coffee and snacks, they have a bar with really good drinks, pizza, and sandwiches. We stopped by here after a date night at Glassnote next door for a bite to eat before we met up with a few friends for more drinks. We got a margherita pizza, which took about -25 minutes to get to us. You would think that for a coffee place, the food would be mediocre, but that is NOT at all the case! The pizza had a really nice thin crispy crust. The sauce was full of flavor and the olive oil on top was *chef's kiss*. The cheese was sparse (like a true Margherita), but the whole pie was easily one of the better pizzas I've had recently! They also had a live band when we stopped by, which added a very cool vibe and for a Saturday evening, it was super busy with all kinds of people - some socializing, some working. We didn't imbibe at this visit, but have had their espresso martinis before and they are truly top notch and I highly recommend!“
“The best damn diner in Milwaukee. The family that owns Landmark is so kind and attentive. Food comes out quickly, hot and delicious. We’ve been regulars here for the last 10 years and have never found another diner that can compare!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“I was just here with a couple for their engagement! They are big fans of Likewise and wanted to included a coffee stop in their engagement photos. It was so cute, the staff were so nice, the photos are so good, and absolutely some of the best coffee I have ever had!“
“Very nice set up and atmosphere. The baristas are always friendly. For some reason the crowd always seems off putting whenever I enter though, almost judgey. I haven't been there in a while so maybe that has changed. The chai tea latte is amazing there!“
“First time visit & hadn't done hookah in YEARS, but this was definitely a nice reintroduction to it. Loved to local artwork on display, which is buyable if you're so inclined to do so (which I'm already trying to save up for 1 piece, lol). Would definitely recommend & plan on going back “
“We've been coming here for years. I've been to Thailand five times and my wife is from there. They have the best Thai tea in Milwaukee and a fun unique menu. Order the Pandan waffles and get them crispy!Professional staff, kind owner, and idk what else to say.....we took our baby boy here proudly so he could start his life off correctly and with good taste.“
“Let me start off by saying that my opinion on the taste of my coffee is most likely not the average opinion. I have more of a sweet tooth, so the sweeter the syrup flavor, the happier I am. The Coffee quality is better than average. The customer service was very nice and felt welcoming. The atmosphere was really nice for anyone to sit in and enjoy some time there. Ordered the Madagascar vanilla hot latte, but there is not enough flavor for myself. Ordered a hot chocolate and simply not enough flavor than average coffee shop so it was quite disappointing. Would still recommend someone to try it out.“
“An amazing asset to our neighborhood and community. Love having a coffee shop back in Riverwest on Center Street and the owner does amazing community work/collaborations. More positive energy like this in Milwaukee please!! Plus the baked goods are <chef’s kiss>!“
“This small Cafe has some great smoothies and gluten-free waffles! This is an excellent choice for breakfast for people with celiac disease and I promise you'll love it even if you don't need to eat gluten free!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for customers with celiac disease“
“This place is beautiful and comfortable! Over the past year, I confess I often wondered if this spot work ever actually open. It was worth the wait. Staff are friendly and efficient, the food looks good, and the coffee is great. The regulars I saw there this morning felt like a Seinfeld episode or Cheers. I'll be back.“
“Very cozy little coffee bar joint. The servers and baristas were nice and friendly chatting with customers over the drink bar. As well the coffee was a good sweet kick up in the morningWould recommend over like a Starbucks if your in the area“
“Every time I visit here the coffee is consistently delicious and well made and the baristas are above and beyond friendly. They are patient and kind in helping you decide what to order, and keeping your tab open in case you want to order again. They collect your dishes and make your visit very enjoyable. The food is always delicious as well. Definitely recommend visiting!!“
“In the heart of a historical neighborhood, you'll find this cafe', where old Milwaukee meets new Milwaukee. Here, the staff is friendly and the chef's take time to craft delectable food and baristas serve tasty coffee and smoothies. I must add that Rise and Grind Cafe' is the only establishment that I found that offers vegan soul food options regularly, in addition to made-to-order vegan breakfast items such as french toast, eggs, sausage, grits. But wait, plant based hot dogs, burgers, and deli sandwiches are on the menu also!I would definitely recommend.“
“My new favorite tea's! Thoughtfully crafted flavors. I ordered a bunch of different flavors both medicinal and of course for morning, getting my day started. I must say I am so very impressed, the ones specifically for medicinal uses even taste good. Which is hard to find the good balance of flavor and health. I got a few specifically for my morning caffeine and even those have a great variety of herbs and sure are delicious!! Top 3 - Fresh start, Kiwi Strawberry and Stress Out!! I usually only find 1 maybe two for each tea company that try. But Urbal Tea well.. I love almost all the ones I ordered. Nice job! You can tell the love that was put into making these.“
“Wallace was fun, easy to talk to, and made me the most fabulous Mai Tai I’ve ever had. They have great recommendations and it helped that everyone in the bar loved them too and helped me figure out what I should get to drink! Amazing atmosphere to which I credit Wallace. We had the best “
“i was working in the area when i was approached by an employee. i was offered a coffee and the generosity could have made me cry. on top of that, the coffee itself was made perfectly. not harsh on the throat , too hot or cold, and the taste was phenomenal. the location is ideal; about a block away in all directions from busy traffic and it was just relaxing no matter where you were. the employees were compassionate about their customers and to me that deserves an award. they even support local artists! how amazing is that!!!“
“Love a good coffee shops. This location is very unique. The old pumping station, that has kept a lot of the infrastructure intact. It's a authentic view of some of some very impressive engineering. And the coffee part is pretty nice as well. Plenty of the usual drinks offering, and lots of seating. I ordered a London Fog latte. It was good, but lacked the typical foam head. Next time I will ask for extra. Will definitely stop next time I am at the lakefront.“
“Anodyne consistently delivers a great experience at all of their coffee shops that I have visited in Milwaukee and this one is no exception. This shop would be a good place to set up a laptop and get some work done, with plentiful seating and tables. Easily accessible by MCTS Route 15.“
“It's very small, but the service and food is great! I put $10-$20 but I really don't remember how much I spent. I think it was right around 9 or 10 dollars. The 5th question I really don't remember. I had a vegetarian bagel sandwich, though.Vegetarian options: I just know what I got was a hummus cucumber bagel. The bagel was toasted and it had lettuce as well.“
“I have lived in the "Joe's Cafe" neighborhood for six years now but had never tried the establishment. Last week, my husband & I gave it a shot. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL food! The portion sizes & quality of our meals was well worth the money. I would strongly recommend! ?“
“Stone creek is one of those places that rocks (no pun intended). The staff are always very friendly and the drinks are amazing. They also have some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had from a coffee shop. I really can’t describe it, but it’s soooo “
“Such a cute little spot! I met a friend who I hadn't seen for years here and we caught up and sipped good coffee. They do waffles on weekends (delicious!) and have a nice book collection and board games to pass the time.Owned by a lovely older couple. Check this spot out!“
“The bartender (didn't get her name, skinny blonde in a white sweater in Amry pants and a ponytail. Very cute), was amazing. She's the reason I will come back. Service is a lil slow, but the attention upon arrival makes up for the time waiting. Atmosphere is real "social-esk." Worth a visit for shore, especially if you like motorcycles with a vibe. Thank you, Miss. You know who you are.“
“It was very nice, noise level was a bit higher than usual. My slider was just okay nothing great. Chili was okay. Good but not great. The staff was awesome as always. It is one of the reasons I keep going to this restaurant. The food is always good, I just enjoy it more sometimes.“
“I grew up on the North side and still consider it home. Milwaukee has its own subset of issues, as do all cities. I would attribute most of this to historical segregation and a lack of resources. Regardless, the people at the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace are nothing short of wonderful. Intelligent, welcoming, and exceptional. Strong men and women!!!! Thank you for the banana pudding, hand-made hats and ear rings, chicken wings, and engaging conversation!!“
“Great little coffee shop with good drinks and pastries. There's not much in terms of ambiance as it's in the lobby of a building, in front of a set of elevators, but it's good enough to grab a coffee and snack. There is minimal seating, so you can't go with a large group, but fine if you're solo or with a couple of others.“
“Must have stopped by at least 20 times since we moved to the area. Maybe 30 times. Folks are always very nice, there are postings about local community events and the event host a few. We attended a lovely holiday market, where everyone was incredibly friendly. Wonderful experience, wonderful beverages and snacks. The mocha scone is always a top selection. My husband elects mochas, and I do matcha. They have unsweetened matcha, which is a big plus for me. Great spot.“
“One of the friendliest stores in the area! All of the partners on Saturday mornings are always in a great mood and their customer connections feel very genuine. The store manager is also often on the floor making connections and helping on bar too. Store is always clean! One of my fav locations.“
“5/2023Went here early May. Was looking for a cup of Joe. Went down to Mlwke to see a friend and got turned around. It was raining pretty good.Found this place. Highly recommended. Workers/staff are great. Prices are reasonable. They can make some great drinks and know what they are doing. They have some nice tasty treats. They have games, tv- books. Great place to go inside and chill.Plenty of parking outside, place inside is very clean- bathrooms are clean.Check them out if in the area. Good place and highly recommended!Until the next review Steve-O, out!“
“This is not just a place for coffee and bakery, a quirky found art feel and retro styles fuse into a warm homey atmosphere. They offer a full menu including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as meat, variety abounds at every level. Breakfast sammies, french toast, pancakes, and even a build your own omelette option and eggs Benedict! Great selection of lunch style sandwiches, salads, and quiches. An amazing range of espresso drinks, including the Raspberry Beret (my fave) and even Turkish style coffee. A long time neighborhood staple in Bayview, locally owned by an awesome lady that cares about the right things. Stop in and check them out, right across from Rushmore Records on south KK. Cool buttons for sale too.Vegetarian options: I love the bagel plate with veggies!Dietary restrictions: I love the oatmilk option, because I am lactose intolerant.“
“This is the most convenient Starbucks in the world. When you have a Starbucks inside an organization, the stars are definitely lining up for everyone. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The decor is so colorful and subtle. The drinks are always so good. Keep up the fantastic work . . .“
“This is a nice Colectivo location, which has some outdoor seating and usually has plenty of places available inside. This would be a good place to come to work remotely for a few hours. Conveniently located directly on the MCTS 15/18/Green lines.“
“We’ve had them cater events for us. I also go into the cafe when I’m downtown. Their avocado toast is outstanding! The location is stunning and always clean. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Love their selection of seasonal drinks!“
“This is one of my favorite Starbucks because of its ample seating area and overall welcoming vibe. It's probably twice the size of your regular cafe. Tables, counters, and comfy chairs conveniently placed for your drinking, eating, reading, working pleasure. It's a full menu Starbucks located at Aurora St. Luke's.“
“From the moment you walk through their corner shop door, you feel like you've entered a familiar and comfortable place. The service and atmosphere are just what you want out of a local coffee shop. Andy and Anya were super friendly and conversive. And she makes a fantastic cortado! The Cream City Brick and the nods to the local hometown make you feel like you've entered something truly Milwaukee. The coffee is great; it's now one of my Go-Tos anytime I'm in the area. What a great discovery this morning! Apparently, it only took me 20 years to fnd it! Happy 20th!“
