We've been here a few times. Always good BBQ. Sadly the last time we went they didn't have sweat tea which is something my girlfriend looks for as she is from the south. Hope they bring that back. They did start selling Sprecher soda so that was a plus. First couple times we went there all they had was their home made soda, and none were flavors I cared for. Water just doesn't taste right with BBQ. The south side drip sauce was excellent.
Outstanding meats! Yes there is fat in the MKE ribs and burnt ends… it’s pork belly and it’s delicious!! I happily drive the 42 miles to get it!! Service and staff are great. Don’t forget the cocktails, the Bourbon Sour is my favorite. Everything at the Iron Grate is constantly great!!

This place has some of the best smoked brisket and pork belly WOWZA!! I don't like the Milw Rib but that's just me. The grits and beans are iconic but the greens are odd...why are they sweet?? Overall great place for BBQ
