This was our first time at the Diplomat, and we won’t hesitate to return…. But diners need to be prepared to drop a bit of cash, and possibly leave a bit hungry. Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Was visiting Milwaukee for a minute and wanted a nice dinner. This was a beautiful experience! Got to talking with some locals at the bar and Hannah as well. Excellent drinks and food and even better service.Got a couple glasses of wine to pair with the steak I ordered. Delicious and cooked perfectly.Thanks for a nice night after a gig!

The food is really good. The prices are a little high, yes. I consider that for a special date it is a suitable place, there is a parking lot on the street on one side that is public since it is a public street. The staff is too friendly and all their plants are pretty by the way.
