“(From a couple of weeks ago) The food was absolutely phenomenal. So delicious! The owners are so hardworking and you can tell they pour their heart and soul into their kitchen every single day. I ordered a pho to-go and it was given to me with the noodles and broth separately. I told the lady that I wasn't from the area and was going to eat it at the basketball game I was on my way to. The problem was that the noodles and veggies were in a regular styrofoam container and I didn't want to wait until I got to the game to mix them together (fearing that the broth would get too cold). The lady quickly gave me a black reusable tupperware container, mixed the broth and noodles together for me, AND added MORE broth to the broth container. It was so unexpected and I still think about this experience today. They served me and my family with so much kindness. They deserve all the business they can get. That's why I'm still here writing this review weeks after my experience.”
“Absolutely amazing experience here, the food is amazing and the servers are down to earth, friendly and always make sure you're topped off. If I could give a 6 star review I would.”
“A great little old fashioned restaurant. The ambience will bring you back to the olden days. Even if you're 25! I've been here quite a few times and I'll get this out of the way first. It's cash only. No cards, no checks, no Venmo, etc. There is an ATM available for the unprepared. I've been here mostly for breakfast and what a fine breakfast they have! Menu isn't very deep for choices but enough to keep even the most picky satisfied. Nothing I've ordered has ever been sub par. Always to my satisfaction and delicious from first bite to last! You'll enjoy this family style restaurant! I highly recommend it!”
“Wife and I gave this place a try. We like giving local business our patronage and feel everyone deserves a try. The location used to be a Vape shop before and they did a great job with the remodel. It was very bright and welcoming. It's not your typical sit down restaurant though. You order at the counter and then have a seat. Other than them bringing your food when it is ready, it's pretty much a serve yourself kind of place. Grab you silverware, syrup, butter and even coffee condiments. The ambience is simple, as well as the tables and chairs throughout. The menu isn't bad but quite a few waffles resemble that of something you'd get at the county fair. I ordered the Sconie (a Belgian waffle, spread with raspberry jam, with ham and cheese) and my wife, Chicken+Waffle. The Sconie, I believe is to be an homage to the Monte Cristo sandwich, which I love. When the food came out, my wife's looked delicious! Mine, not that great. The ham on my waffle looked like standard store bought sliced ham(only 2 slices) and regular American cheese. It must not have been in the warmer long enough because the ham was still cold in the middle. I will say it was good and I did eat all of it. However, the waffles are quite small. Much like the size you'd make at home. My expectation was, if you're a restaurant selling waffles, they should be bigger than what I can make at home. None the less, my wife's waffle was really good! The chicken tender was crispy and juicy! Together with the sweetness of the syrup and the waffle, it was decedent! I should have ordered the same as her. I did like the fact that they had iced coffee for a beverage choice and with free refills! It was very good coffee too! I drank 2 glasses and got one to go! Overall, I do recommend Superior Waffles. I feel they could improve on some things but the experience was positive. I will be going back again!”
“We have been regularly traveling the 20 miles every Friday for the all you can eat fish dinner. It's the only place that we know of where you get your choice of broiled, regular batter or beer battered fish along with coleslaw or cottage cheese and choice potatoes. Get the seasoned waffle fries, they are a slight upcharge but well worth it, you won't be disappointed. They also have root beer on tap in a frosty mug! They have daily specials and the burgers look great. This is a local bar and grill so don't wear a suit and tie.Parking: The gravel parking lot surrounds the establishment”
“Shamrock Pizza is an icon eatery and bar in South End, Superior. They have long been a part of my families pizza eating tradition in the Twin Ports area. The Bacon Cheese Burger (with pickles) and Ken's Special are the family favorites. Soft drinks are by the can or bottle, free refills may not be available. It's cash only.”
“Nothing better than grabbing a drink when the owner Lindsey is working. She makes Superior a better place and her spirit room is the best place in town, a nice change of pace from the traditional bar scene Superior offers”
“We recently just moved to the area and have had about five different breakfast spots around the Twin Ports area. Let me just say, this is the best place BY FAR.My fiancé & I have been here 4 times, and each time we go, we get something different. We have never been disappointed with the food, as it is always delicious!Prices are competitive for the amount of food you get, the staff is always welcoming, which you don’t see much of anymore. If you are looking for a tasty breakfast spot in Duluth/Superior, look no further than right here! 5/5”
“Saw the "Prof" show here. He killed it. Sweet venue, smaller and more personal show. Outdoors what's not to love? Don't stop we go straight to the top, And we all goin together!”
“I love this A&W! I've lived here for over 30 years and when I want a taste of nostalgia and some daily drafted root beer, A&W will always be my choice! They've got a lot to offer on their menu but I'm a sucker for the Papa Burger and a Coney dog with chili cheese fries and a root beer float! Now that's a meal! I've only had a problem a few times when they were super busy and understaffed. That's not their fault in my eyes. Besides, I know what I'm getting for food and I know it'll be good. So, I ignore the minor inconveniences. Any other time, it's business as usual. I never have to wait long to make my order or for the food. I was so glad that they didn't close there doors after Covid. This A&W is a staple in this town and one of the longest running independently owned A&W's that's left in existence! So, please go patronize this business and enjoy some good food and great root beer!”
“A lovely pub with an ambience of an old railway station . It has a lovely homely vibe, helps relax. They have live band and it’s a cherry on the top. The seasonal beers are awesome , food is good, could be better. Service is great. Our server took great care of us, and helped us choose a good beer options and we ended up carrying few crowlers.”
“We have not been there for a couple of years and noticed lots of changes in the dining room. Nice updates friendly atmosphere and good food what more can you ask for. Have been to the Wobegon for 65 years and always liked it here. ”
“Louis' Cafe is a must stop for locals and anyone traveling thru the Twin Ports area! Amazing breakfasts and Greek comfort food that never disappoints. They always have the best specials and the owners and employees are so welcoming and warm! Atmosphere makes you feel like family. I recommend the gyros!!”
“Owner/operator is a very friendly and knowledgeable person. He loves to share his knowledge of making wine. Many very tasty varieties available I've been a customer for several years, buying both his already made wines, and wine kits and ingredients.”
“This place is so good that I’ve been there twice in 3 days. ? The wings were fresh and the best I’ve ever had (which says a lot)! The pastrami Reuben and habanero Mac and cheese were delicious. Being a previous restaurant manager, I really appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service from Tara and Kylie. Let’s talk about the fresh grouper and cheese grits… wow. So good. The grouper is flown in fresh every week. It tastes like the grouper you get in Florida. This place deserves 10 stars! ⭐️ Thank you Mana T and congratulations on creating one of the coolest places that I’ve been in a long time!”
