Restaurantji's Wausau recommendations for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“This is THE spot for Real and authentic Mexican food. Not your typical Americanized “Mexican” food. Nice and courteous people. Get out of your quesadilla and burrito element and try everything else on their menu.Nada de comida gringonizada, nada de eso. Comida authentica. Ambiente chingon y gente amable y respetosa.“
“Everything about this place is amazing from the decor to the service, and especially the food! I had the Birria dinner and it was delicious, best birria I've had in town. I also had the horchata to drink, it was delicious, rich and creamy. Our server, Yasir, was amazing. He was very kind and patient with us while providing excellent service.“
“Great place to grab some chow, and they have a bunch of lunch options that are a bit cheaper then there full meals, and no matter which one you get there's a good chance you won't be going home hungry, and if you're looking for desert they have fried ice “
“We’ve just moved to Wisconsin from Texas and decided to stay in Wausau for the night. The pictures looked good and it was close by our hotel. We were the only table in there at 9 on a Friday, but let me tell you… this was by far the best Mexican food we have had since leaving Texas in June. Wait staff was attentive, food was impeccable and I liked that it was low key! 10/10 will be back!“
“It's a small hole in the wall place with great authentic Mexican food best I've had since I left Arizona!!Parking: It's on the corner next to a small grocery store does have plenty of parking clean inside clean bathrooms comfortable great food friendly people“
“One of my more favorite Wisconsin bars to walk into in recent years. Just outside of Wausau as the country starts. Just looks and feels right inside and very much more your dad's bar than a modern a bar. Food is ok but if you like a lot, you'll get it.“
“Service is always excellent here, the staff is so friendly! The food is always delicious. I come back regularly for horchata, cali fries, mangoñadas, and elote (Mexican style street corn). Very clean establishment with a lively atmosphere and lovely decor.“
