“Wow what a great place in the middle of town for a great meal. We were checking out the local state park for future camping, and went into Glenville looking for a place to eat. Most places were fast food junk or closed and out of biz. . We turned on to the main street and saw a pizza place that was open so decided that that would half to do, So we parked got out of the car and low and behold we parked in front of this little Cornerstone Cafe. It had a for sale sign in the window and an open sign in the other. So we went in not sure if they were even in Biz or not. They said they were and we got seated. Menu had a good selection of breakfast, lunch and sandwiches as well as steaks and dinners. They had daily specials too. Today was Creamed chicken over biscuits, or baked steak. We both liked the sound of the chicken dish and so ordered it. Service was fast, as was the meal to the table. YUMMY is the best I can say of this diner. I almost licked the plate too. We topped it off with some pie ( home made coconut cream pie and Black berry cobbler) Both were fab as they say. WE are sorry to hear they want to sell out because this is one of those gems you never find often., Go there and eat .”
“Cute little bar but not what you would expect. They have food but no menu or plates. Menu is on the wall. Staff and atmosphere was nice. Food was typical. Ordered wings and pickles. Not alot of flavor but again it's not really a restaurant, it's more of a bar. Recommended to go during happy hour for great prices. ?”
“I just had the best cheese stuffed wontons here!Kid-friendliness: These people are so nice! I can't imagine a kid not being happy here.Parking: Open and easily accessible”
“The staff seemed warm and inviting. Definitely a college town type of McDs. They weren't busy at all, and the food seemed fresh off the grill.Keep up the good work!”
“Anytime I’m in Glenville I eat here! It’s actually my favorite Subway ever one evening I wanted to grab a sub before they closed and was hoping I could get there in time and me and my sister and my buddy was just gonna eat outside and they told us it was okay for us to eat inside while they closed up! They might not do this for everybody but it sure was nice of them to do it for us considering it was fairly cold!”
“I think, and I could be wrong, the bar is actually called Tulleys Duck!!! The meaning goes from before the beautiful renovations. The bar is beautiful. Nice pool table and darts area. If in the area it is a "must stop" watering hole.”
“A little piece of Italy is nestled behind an East Main Street sign that beckons me, “Mama’s Brick Oven Pies & Pastas.” I figured it was worth a shot. I was greeted in the warmest way and felt like I’d made a great choice before I even had a menu in my hand. Fresh pizza by the slice was on display and was ever so tempting, but I’m a sucker for pasta. The owner escorted me to a table and handed me a menu. The options for a lunch special pasta dish were so plentiful, I needed some help deciding. I started telling my new Italian friend all the things that I liked, and he said, “Try the eggplant parmigiana!”That turned out to be an epic recommendation! My lunch started with a fresh salad and some rolls that were topped with melted butter and fresh crushed garlic. When my entree was presented, I knew that I hadn’t been steered wrong. A crispy, thick sliced piece of eggplant was peaking out from under a thick, spicy sauce. Melted cheese with a sprinkle of fresh parsley greeted me, “Hellooooo Sailor.” I should’ve taken a picture, but I was beguiled. One bite and there was never a thought about stopping to take a picture. What can I say but COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!”
