Ordered a double cookie cake for my husband for his birthday. I asked for as much icing as possible and they iced the whole thing like you would a normal cake. He was absolutely thrilled. The people there are really nice, too

BEST bakery cakes in Morgantown, hands down! The Burnt Almond Torte is to DIE FOR!! Sheet birthday cakes and layered cakes are also fantastic. It's their buttercream frosting that makes them so good. Prices are great, staff is friendly and helpful. I get all our special occasion cakes here.

This will be there first and the last cake I order from your bakery. I specifically ordered whipped icing and the tag even reads whipped icing, yes, but I can’t be fooled. I received a cake with buttercream icing. Thank you very much for ruining the birthday cake meant for a very special person to me!

Cassie did a beautiful decorating job on my husband's birthday cake. I gave her a very vague idea of what I wanted and she did a lovely, creative job. The cake and icing are delicious and we were so pleased with the whole thing.

I get that Covid19 has changed the way we shop and the way stores provide service; however, it is not an excuse for bad customer service. I recently went to the Giant Eagle store at University Town Center in Morgantown, WV and attempted to use the self checkout lane. The scanner appeared to not be functioning properly and the associate came to find the issue. I asked why their self checkout scanners were so problematic compared to other stores and her reply was "You don't have to shop here." Well, guess what? I will take my $500/month grocery budget to Kroger or Walmart instead.

I don't think the prices here are that great. And, I experienced the slowest and rudest cashier today. Rude. And I am nice. I always say hello and ask how they are doing. It's a thankless job and they deserve respect. But, this guy was just nasty. The best thing I can say is that their carts are nice.

Giant Eagle might the most decent grocery store in Morgantown (but I still don't like it much). You need a membership card to shop (but the membership is free, just the cost of going to customer service and waiting for someone to take down every personal detail). Their produce is often a little better than the other options in town (but also more expensive).

The Good - The store is large and clean with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly. The Bad - The selection is very limited on lots of things. The prepared food was really lacking. All of the chicken nuggets I looked at seemed to be dried out like they had been in the sun. No salad bar or larger prepared salads just the tiny ones in the produce department. Sandwiches were limited to 3 foot long Italian subs. The beer section was a joke. I have never seen such a small beer section in a grocery store except for Fresh Markets. I really found it ironic that it was so pitiful being so close to a major college. The Ugly - I have been to several Giant Eagles in PA plus this one and they just don't impress me. They are on par with Food Lions down south. Give me a Wegman's, Harris Teeter, one of the newer Kroger's or a Lowe's Foods in the Carolinas. Those are great grocery stores.

I recently ordered 3 cakes from this giant eagle for my bridal shower. One two tiered raspberry almond cake, one chocolate cake, and one vanilla cake. The 2 tierd cake colors were very nice the only problem was the icing was lopsided so I had to try to hide half the cake from my guests. The 2 other cakes were supposed to be a mint we even gave pictures and color swatches. The cakes came out LIME GREEN. everything was delicious though and we got compliments on how nice everything looked. I will attach pictures.

Very high prices! Try Kroger instead.

They have Mediterranean grocery section.

They have monthly sales that allow you to accumulate gas cents off.

Def sign up for the giant eagle advantage card. You can catch good deals with it. They are a little higher priced but if they have a giant eagle version it is just as good if not better.

Giant Eagle tends to have the best deli in town hands down. Even though the prices on regular items are higher than Kroger the meat and cheese are lower priced than Kroger and much tastier!

Use the self check-out because the cashiers commonly bag poorly.
