Not my favorite Italian I've tried locally, not bad but nothing special. It's good value for the price and the pasta was good, sauce wasn't my favorite but was cooked well just seasoned how I like so that's on me, not them. Overall I'd go back and try

Falling apart on all angles

The place is falling apart in many ways. They have no liquor license- perhaps they lost it, so there is no wine or beer with dinner. I asked 2 different waitresses for a glass of water 3 times and did not get one after sitting down until 30 minutes later! The bread, which others rave about, was awful. It was very cold on the inside- obviously frozen and very crumbly indicating it is poorly made. The waitress replaced the bread with a new loaf and all 3 times they were cold on the inside. The kitchen is failing at the basics! The chicken Parmesan is a large portion but comes out on pasta without even having sauce on the pasta itself! That was very strange to me, they were a pile of plain noodles under the meat. The sauce on the chicken was bland and lacking flavor. The tiramisu was the oddest rendition I’ve ever seen- a dry layered white cake with a tiny bit of cream and chocolate chips on top. The service and skill of the kitchen is very poor! I waited an hour for my food. I would never come here again!

The food here is always fantastic but the service was not great tonight. I placed an order for take out and arrived at my estimated pick up time Which I understand is an estimate but over 20 mins later I’m still waiting on my food and no one came to update me or let me know it was going to be a wait. I wasn’t going to say anything but when I finally got my food there wasn’t even a sorry for your wait… keeping the customer updated and a simple apology can really change the experience.

I was visiting my family last week and they recommended a restaurant called Pug`s. I ordered the best Lasagna that I have tasted in a long while! It`s size was shocking, a very large hot hunk of Lasagna! I finished it to my family`s amazement. When in Morgantown visit Pug`s, you won`t be sorry.

Food is wonderful! Atmosphere could be improved. Never disappointed with the taste of the homemade pasta.

Great food, large portions and super friendly service. The atmosphere is casual, nothing fancy. If you want good food at very fair pricing, then Pug's is a perfect option.

Food has really declined here. Spaghetti sauce tastes like canned sauce. Not very authentic. It has been over 4 years since I last ate here and I was very disappointed.

The service at pugs was quick and the music was soft and soothing and overall it had a super home-y atmosphere. The food came out quick and was overall very good. I think it could have used more seasoning or maybe a spicy option.

Hello- I just have to get this off my chest as I feel the owners need to see this. This past Saturday Feb 4 we came in for dinner at 7:10 PM. I know the place closes at 8 PM. There was one couple in front of us and they were seated. The hostess asked how many and we told her 4 adults and two toddlers. There was clearly and empty table ( the one as you enter in the middle) to accommodate us. The girl who I thought should have seated us went in the back and came out about 5 minutes later. She said " I'm sorry, we don't have enough food to accommodate you ????Ok - so you seated the the couple in front of us and now all of a sudden you don't have enough food for us? I can understand running short on some dishes or specials, it happens, BUT you didn't even give us the option to sit down and try to accommodate us .My speculation is you just didn't want to serve 4 adults and 2 kids at 7:10. There was clearly a table ready. We have been coming there for years and try to support local places and stay away from chains. I was craving Pugs and was turned down. Maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture but NOT even trying to serve us is just bad business. I'm not sure we will return. Sorry

This place is definitely a hidden gem! This was our first time going, and we were impressed with everything. The atmosphere is awesome. It’s a quiet Italian restaurant. Our waitress was amazing. She did such a good job. The food we ordered was awesome. We had the meatball sandwich and penne pasta with Rose sauce. The best part of the meal was the giant Pugs loaf which is seriously the best bread I have ever had. If you like supporting small businesses and Italian food, then this is the place for you! I know we will be back.Vegetarian options: There is all kinds of stuff vegetarians can eat. You can pasta with no meat, salads, and more.Parking: It is in a huge plaza, so there is plenty of parking.

This place is like eating in an abandoned warehouse! The absolute worst atmosphere for almost anything, let alone dinner. Service was just OK and the food was below average and just over-priced pasta that seemed to have been soaking in water prior to being served. NEVER AGAIN!
