We stopped by for dinner on a Friday evening. This place has a very laid back atmosphere and the staff was great with good service and very friendly. The food was excellent. To all who are in the Parkersburg, WV area it's well worth the time to stop by and get a bite to eat at the Corner Cafe.

The Corner Cafe has the feel of a small town diner once you get past the exterior look of a metro café. I ordered the Philly cheese steak omelet and a coffee. The omelet tasted pretty bland if I'm being honest. My waitress was absolutely wonderful and attentive. I'll definitely give this place a second try sometime and order something else.

After an hour of waiting for our food and our server only coming by one time and avoiding us the rest of the time, we had to go to the person at the front register to ask about our food. The man said it should’ve only taken us 15 mins to get our food as it was not a busy morning, and when he asked the cooks about our order they said they didn’t have it. Turns out our server never put in the order. She was standing there when we all found this out, and turned her back to us and walked away without a word. We left without eating because we had to get checked out of our hotel. We won’t be returning.
I ordered the open face roastbeef sandwich with homemade mashed potatoes and brown gravy. This was so good it took me back to years ago when i had it. Loved the waitress believe her name was Melissa. She was busy sweeping and cleaning but it never stopped her from checking on us and seeing we were pleased. The pics show its a nice friendly vintaged vs historic place with lots of friendly loving people. Come out and support your locally owned business!!!

The food was awful. They don't know how to make scrambled eggs, the sausage was cooked to leather! We waited an hour for our food. Waitress was borderline rude, but definitely rude to others nearby. The cooks had nasty beards without a net, didn't look like they've had a shower that week.I asked for a senior discount and was given a hard time ? water tasted bad.We won't be back.
