“Recently made a stop to Short Story. Such a great place to visit. Food was delicious and my husband enjoyed his beer. The employees were super friendly while answering questions and having conversations. The area was clean and relaxing. I loved the merchandise options which included Christmas bulbs, drinking cups and beanies. Highly recommended!”

“I was surprised at how good these little pizzas were. They are thin and crispy. The toppings seem like good quality and they make them very quickly. They are a bit pricey for the size, but I still think they are worth it. The drizzles are a nice touch too.”

“You've heard of hole-in-wall places, but this one is literally a door in the wall. You will question if more than 10 people can fit inside, but don't let that keep you out. The entrance way is a touch narrow, but once you pass the ordering area it opens up! Tables, comfy chairs, a group gathering space. Yep, all just past that tiny door. I found myself up that way last summer and of course I quickly sought out somewhere to enjoy quality coffee. In conversation with another artist, he mentioned Joe and upon seeing the Yelp photos I knew where I would be spending the next few hours. If you're a visitor like myself, know there is free parking at the end of the block (going downhill) on the left. Also, take the time to walk around the quaint downtown area. Now about Joe's. This is truly a coffee shop and bar in one. And since there's a full food menu, also a cafe. You will find something to eat and sip no matter what time of day. I of course ordered my go-to, an Americano. I settled into a chair with the vantage point of three people playing Monopoly, two others sketching, a couple flirting at the bar, and what appeared to be a family gathering taking place in the larger room. There are board games and books to borrow, local art on the wall for purchase, and plenty of cool Joe schwag to take home (including beans). The Americano was perfection in a cup. The bean, roast, and pull were some of the best you will find. About halfway through it, I saw someone with their house made cinnamon bun. Talk about envy in your heart! But alas I opted for a seasonal latte so I could take it and walk around the downtown. I know they've been around for a few years, and I hope they're around for many more.”

“There aren’t enough stars for me to click for this restaurant.We’ve only visited for breakfast. I want to go back and try out some lunch options.The amount of food we got for the price we paid was incredible! Plus we had boxes of leftovers we took home.It was pretty crowded but our service and wait time was not affected at all by this.I would recommend this joint to everyone!”

“Bring cash! Closed for the winter. They will reopen in Spring 2024! There is almost always a line to get ice cream and other treats at this local legend! Remember to BRING CASH! Dairy Creme Corner is a local institution! Their portions are absolutely insane! Try finishing a large ice cream cone! They closed for the winter season on October 8, 2023! They will reopen in Spring 2024.”

“I enjoyed the meal.Not spectacular, but it was as good as it should be (I had the kielbasa, red potatoes and cabbage) and the chicken salad was pretty good too. Just a little disappointing that it was almost a paste consistency. The Fudge Cake was better than advertised. I would order it a dozen times over the Shoney’s fudge cake.If I come back to the area I’ll have to try a different dish. And maybe dine in, but as it is seat yourself, I didn’t want to take up a table by myself.If there’s no parking out front, it’s a good bet that the house is full and there are seats available for the wheelchair bound.”

“Good stuff. Had not been here in years. Had 2 chili dogs, fries and root beer. The unique flair, flavor and custom tastes making this stop unique unto itself which is what makes this a go-to for dogs!”

“Decent pizza and a good taste. A bit much sauce, and I got the Deluxe Pizza. I was afraid the meatballs would be huge but they are not very big.Lots of room in the dining area for wheelchairs, well lit, and plenty of parking outside the door.”

“This place is always fantastic! The waitresses are so sweet and the food is always delicious! We have went as a group of two and we have had as many as eight people and they never get anything wrong. We have never had to send anything back. Their rye bread and the homemade raisin bread are fantastic! I love that they have fresh cut fries! Salads are delicious as is the steak sandwich but eight times out of 10 we get a sampler for breakfast which leaves you filled for a great price! Highly recommend!”

“The hot dog game is competitive in Fairmont. These guys are ready to Stand toe to toe with legends. The guys behind the counter engaged each and every person.
