“Great food, drinks and music. We got the bianca pizza and then headed outside for a drink on their deck during their deck party during our ski trip. They had a couple of DJs out there playing great music along with an outdoor bar. All of the staff were very friendly as well.”

“Nightlife only review: The good: -Bartenders are very nice and quick, it may take a minute to get a drink but they at least (for me) let me know they had not forgotten. -Vibe has a local skitown feel, everyone we met was really nice, no fights, just everyone having a good time. The Bad: -Beer was $8 for basic, little high but whatever -Saturday had a $10 cover for absolutely no reason, I guess Titos was there but it was no different than the night before. Charged $10 because they could but didn't provide anything extra. -Hours are weird, nobody really knows the hours, lights come on anywhere from 11-1145 and your being thrown out (nicely lol) We went here twice both Friday and Saturday, and skipped the other bars around the area because it was fun experience”

“After skiing me and my family went there., and it was DELICIOUS and fast, the prices were high but I had a fun time, the servers were always so nice, it was very cozy and had an overall home like feeling and the bathrooms were good.”

“Been by this little building probably 50 times over the years and never really noticed it. There's not a lot in the area, so when I saw they were a bakery we stopped in for some treats. The white chocolate macadamia cookies were chronic. The mini cake was good. I will say the Pepperoni roll with marinara is the best pepp roll I've had in a long long time. I initially judged the lack of grease dripping out as a sign of a poor roll, with a lack if fillings like Chico Bakery, but boy was I wrong. Tons of pepperoni and cheese And super soft dough, like you can tell a baker made these, just perfectly made. It had just a hint of sauce that made it perfect. I always say Federicos in Steubenville, OH have the best rolls because they use sauce in them , but I'm gonna give Best Roll status to Mtn State Cakes. Thanks again!”

“I can't say enough positive things about this place! Did a women's mt bike clinic and stayed at the Elk River Lodge. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the food was fantastic! It surprised us because it's way out there in the forest and we didn't expect top chef! But we got it! I'd go back in a heartbeat :)”

“A trip to snowshoe is not complete without a fresh, warm waffle from waffle cabin! Get the chocolate syrup added, along with a dusting of powdered sugar, it does not disappoint !! Perfect snack after a few trips down the slopes!”

“I am in this Subway several times a year. Mostly during winter but occasionally other times. Crap shot on open V’s closed. Always good food if open. I cannot pin down the open V’s closed times. The gas station /convenience store attached to Subway can not explain either. At least between the two, I have always been able to get food in this otherwise deserted area.”

“Went here a little while back. Was staying in the area and gave Almost Heaven a try. I have had barbecue all over the lower United States. Specially all southern states. I have to say this place has some of the best brisket I have ever had. Excellent smoke flavor, tender has can be. An absolute must try. The alligator fried rice I had also was out of this world. Also tried the breakfast. Talking about superb. The bacon was amazing. To be honest anything you want to try on the menu is going to be a winner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALMOST HEAVEN SMOKEHOUSE. You will not be disappointed.”

“While staying in Cass over a weekend, we are at Shay's (formerly The Last Run) for dinner and for breakfast. Granted, restaurant options in or near Cass are limited, to say the least, but we would eat there again. The food was nothing special, which is to be expected in a more remote, sparsely populated area, but the prices are great--like pre-pandemic prices. Nothing we ordered was unpalatable, although I wouldn't recommend the pulled pork baked potato, which featured nacho cheese sauce and overly sweet pulled pork that was obviously prepackaged. The sandwiches and burgers are a better bet, and the wings and appetizers were decent too. Breakfast was overall much tastier, so it's a good place to stop in for a home style breakfast before a train ride if that's why you're visiting Cass. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance is unique.”
