This place has had a bad reputation over the years, but it recently got new ownership, and let’s say they've really turned the bar around for the better! I had been there in previous years and swore never to set foot back in there. This past year, I’ve had some friends who started going and working there, so I gave it a shot. We were in town for Bachelorette trip from St.Louis, there was 9 of us and we had a Blast ! So much fun ! We were outside enjoying the music and yard games. The inside had karaoke & the vibe was fantastic. Everyone was enjoying themselves. The next day we came back to watch the World Cup final 6 of us and the bartender & manager or owner we are not sure who he was treated us Fantastic. Justin the bouncer let an underage girl in and then proceeded to aggressively kick an of age male out for buying a round of shots assuming that at 1230 am it would be only 21 year olds at the bar because he has no pryer training on how to read the businesses wrist band policies and he was very aggressively kicked out of tbe bar due to an 18 year old girl being offered, she id not take the shot, she was just offered it, as were the rest of us and he was kicked out. Guests often find the staff friendly and attentive, with some bartenders remembering their names and drinks. Many visitors say they love the good times and the feeling of letting go of reality. Mudbugs Dive Bar is a place where guests can enjoy karaoke, meet great people, and make lasting memories. You must must must try the Rockefeller dip, especially if you enjoy spicy food. It is fantastic. The wings are always delicious and exactly what I am expecting and wanting. Happy hour prices are better than most. Karaoke inside, Doug playing live in front, watch a game in the back there's a vibe for everyone. For the transient and the locals this is a fun, safe place to be. Mudbugs is the kind of bar that doesn’t just serve drinks — it serves mercy. If you want a place where you can sing terribly, spill drinks, and still be treated like family, Mudbugs is it.
