Rock N Roll Sushi Is Rocking Its 2024 Expansion

Rock N Roll Sushi, the restaurant chain known for its fun, rockin' American-style sushi experience, is kicking off 2024 with some big moves. The brand is continuing to expand out west, opening new locations in markets like Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and central Arkansas. While another sushi chain, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, has announced plans to open 13-14 new restaurants this year, Rock N Roll Sushi's expansion is really making noise.

"Nothing gets a crowd going like the first song at a live rock concert when the bright lights, screaming guitars and pounding drums all kick in to start an unforgettable experience. With this kind of start to the year, the sky's the limit when it comes to our growth!"

Just in the first part of the year, Rock N Roll Sushi has opened a second location in the Phoenix area in Goodyear, Arizona. It also signed deals to open two future restaurants in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the second half of 2024 under franchisee KMG LLC.

KMG's owner Gerstner already operates one Rock N Roll Sushi in Colorado Springs that opened in July 2023, as well as several Freddy's Frozen Custard locations.

Another recently launched restaurant is the brand's fifth overall in central Arkansas, located in North Little Rock. More Arkansas openings are planned soon for Cabot and Jonesboro.

Additional restaurants are in the pipeline for cities like Fayetteville, Arkansas; Stuart, Lithia, and Niceville in Florida; Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Spring Hill, Tennessee.

For those unfamiliar, Rock N Roll Sushi isn't your typical sushi joint. It offers "deliciously twisted sushi and hibachi" in an immersive, rock-themed environment meant to provide "a big and bold dining experience" inspired by iconic eras of rock music.

The restaurants have music playing from different decades, bright flashing lights like a concert, and guitars hung up all over the walls. This creates a fun, energetic dining environment that the brand calls "dining out loud."

Rock N Roll Sushi was founded in 2010 in Mobile, Alabama by husband-and-wife duo Gerri and Lance Mach Hallmark. From humble beginnings in a small mall space, it has grown to over 67 locations across the southeast U.S. in just over a decade.
