“Great pizza and fun drinks. Seating is what you would expect for a brewery but it's a nice environment and dog friendly! Appreciated the non alcoholic drink options and all the variety of pizzas! The pizza came out pretty quick, it's counter service but we enjoyed speaking with the lady who took our order. Would come again for the vibes and pizza! Maybe even on a nice day to sit outside!“

“This is hands-down the absolute best place to go if you are sober with your drinking friends or dates! Or if you are partaking in dry January, or just a dry week! Not only do they have an array of adult non-alcoholic options (not just water and soda), these NA drinks are SO good! The hop water is an excellent option with their awesome cans - really makes you blend in and tastes great. The supertonics are all delicious but my absolute favorite is the salt and lime as it really gives you the feel of drinking a margarita. I get packs to bring home, add tajin on the rim of a glass and it's my most favorite easy mocktail-style drink without feeling too sweet or cheesy. They also now have two non-alcoholic beers which I cannot wait to try. Oh and I shouldn't forget - their ginger beer and root beer are also delicious! Thank you fieldwork for having all of these amazing options for us non-alcoholics that love enjoying drinks with friends on a patio, I am one of your biggest fans! ❤️“

“I just discovered this great brewery. They have a nice array of IPA's and don't miss the Coffee and Cigarette's Stout. Yum. I only tried the meatballs, but they were very tasty with just the right amount of spice. The SF Chronicle food critics highly rate their pizza. They have a special pizza of the day plus a couple of standards. Big open space inside and out for big gatherings and also comfortable for me and my husband. We would have preferred different music, but other people seemed to like it. Don't miss this neighborhood gem.“

I don't think I would enjoy it as much if the only way I could get my coffee from here is by finding the hidden employees at hidden cafe. Trying to find a barista to order coffee, before I've had coffee, sounds daunting. Although, it would make that cup of joe so much more rewarding. Honestly, if the employees did start hiding, I'd still go here. That's how good their coffee and carrot cake is and how confident I am in my seeking abilities. Luckily, this is something I haven't had to face. All the employees here are extremely friendly and very easy to find. I'm happy that Hidden Cafe is not good enough at hiding to the point where it would run itself out of business. I love going here!“

“Was so excited to see there was a new brunch place in Berkeley and even more excited that it’s something outside of the standard brunch food items! The food was AMAZING! Really big portion sizes, too. The Thai Beignets came with condensed milk but the real star of the show were the pork jowls. The pork sausage was also good, it was a little dry for my taste but maybe that’s just how they’re made. The location was so cute, I couldn’t get over how nicely decorated it was, and the staff were very sweet and attentive. The only thing that is missing in my opinion is Thai iced coffee on the menu! Can’t wait to come back.“

“I'd been curious about this place for years, super cute looking. The Orange Blossom Latte was so delicious and smooth and I was able to order it dairy free (with oat milk- best brand of oat milk too) which was perfect for my gut. The atmosphere is perfect for a date, catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or just sitting with a drink. Very pleasant and friendly staff and they were fast too. Definitely will want to come back.“

“My family stumbled upon this little cupcake shop in Berkeley while on a day trip. There is a good assortment of decadent cupcakes to be had. We tried two (cookies and cream and the red velvet )and they were magnificent! I highly recommend! The shop is small with no sit down options so you must take your treats to go.“

“Great brunch place! The Lama Special is great: two eggs, two pancakes (with butter and maple syrup), bacon and some fruit (price: $15 + taxes). It was very tasty, and the pancakes were especially soft. The food was ready very quickly! Even though the kitchen is open, the place does not smell thickly of food.“

The woman who handled the order and pours was helpful, having the names of the beers printed out on a receipt and placing the samplers in their respective order clockwise, so that I could know which beers they were. She just seemed to want to quickly finish my order and head to do something else, even though it was quiet and I was the only customer in the pour line. That's why I only gave Gilman Brewing Company 4 stars instead of 5. I chose to try a flight of their IPAs as determined by the beertender. Here are my tasting notes on a scale of 1 to 10: *Frog on Bicycle: 5. Not much flavor. Low on suds. *Punxsutawney Phil's: 5. Lacked flavor. *Banjo Cat: 8. Strong. Clean. Smooth. Robust. Reminded me of Russian River's Pliny the Younger...but just a tad. *Missouri Lean: 6. Strong. Bitter. Hoppy. Uneven. *Quarter Panel: 7. Clean and Balanced. Decent amount of suds. *Bad Tattoo: 6. Flavorful and fruity. But lacking in suds. There was a big seating area inside, as well as a good number of tables under the cover of large canopies outside, which was where I hung out on a pleasant, balmy day. It was also very dog friendly, as fellow patrons sat nearby with their leashed besties. Also, several dog bowls for water were around. I've heard the pizza here is great, and I will definitely be back to try it and pair it with some of the stellar brews.“
