My go to for delicious birthday cakes, fantastic Filipino treats, and run by the absolute nicest people who give the most five star service ever. Cannot recommend enough. One of the last good things left on that entire strip of sunset.
Likely the oldest Filipino Bakery in all of Los Angeles and a family tradition. Not only do they serve the BEST Turon [plantain and jackfruit lumpia/eggroll slathered in a light caramel sauce], but, their Empanadas are to die for. Latin empanadas are great, but, once you try Filipino Empanadas you will never go back! Call ahead and order both in advance for fresh, made to order delicacies warm in the box! Found this awesome family owned bakery on my way to the farmer's market. The Mom owner and son? handling the counter were super friendly, doling out samples to everyone, explaining what everything was...the pastries were flaky and not super sweet and the chicken empanadas were delicious. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu, except maybe not balut. Haha.5 stars!!
