I've been to this restaurant a few times over the years and I've always walked away thinking that the food was nothing special. I think if anything the food today was a lesser version of what it used to be, the place was absolutely packed, the kitchen did a pretty good job of keeping up with the crowd, but frankly I have no idea why this restaurant is so popular. I think they're coasting on their laurels. They have a few famous dishes that have gotten a good reviews from credible sources over the years, and that seems to be what they're banking on. We ordered about five dishes and there was not a single dish that was wow, there were a couple of dishes that were tasty but nothing remarkable. My pan fried noodles were greasy, the quality of the seafood was low, there were no greens other than a few pieces of broccoli and it was kind of a boring dish. Also, the hostess was abrupt and sort of rude, and the wait to get a table was long. There was really nothing about the meal that stood out. If you want a mediocre place that's expensive and very crowded this is your spot.
