Our group of five couldn't have been happier with the friendly service and delicious menu. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, and every dish we tried was exceptional. The calamari was a standout, and the squid ink tagliatelle was a hit with everyone. They have amazing cocktails – they were the perfect complement to our fantastic dining experience.

It’s hard to give 4 stars instead of 5…Great atmosphere and the gentleman who was our waiter (appeared to wait whole restaurant) was kind and so professional. He genuinely seems to care about the quality of the food. Where I am removing one star is the quality. Kitchen presented aesthetically pleasing food but the quality didn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant.

My sister and I visited Napa a year ago and we stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. Service was great and the food was delicious. We couldn't stop talking about it the following day - so we went back! And this year, we took our spouses to Napa and of course, we raved about Carpe Diem and they did not disappoint. Hubbies were so amazed how great this place was. Ali was so accommodating and treated us so well - that, YES... we went back AGAIN for another dinner. This restaurant is a MUST visit and please see Ali. He will definitely make your dining experience at Carpe Diem unforgettable. We all tried different dishes ---- for appetizer we shared their special of the day, Burrata with wild tomatoes and calamari. For main dishes we had the Cabernet short rib, Squid ink black fettuccine, rack of Berkshire pork milanese, and diver scallops. We had a couple of bottles - Bremer Cab and a Rombauer Chardonnay and few glasses of other cabs after that.

It was written up on Decantar as a wine bar with shareable plates, etc. We expected to have a choice of 25 to 30 wines by the glass, several small plares, etc. Primarily this is a restaurant with a very small bar and maybe 15 wines by the glass. Food was very good, and the service was an A. Just, not what we expected. Next time, Ox and the Fox.

Ali and the staff was so attentive and provided excellent service. They went the extra mile to ensure that me & my loved ones were having a good time. The environment was warm & friendly. Carpe Diem is always my go to place to take my friends when they come to visit me in Napa. The food and the drinks is so delicious, make sure to order their espresso martini's!

Great food, somewhat limited menu, attentive staff. ALL STAFF NEED UNIFORMS or a dress code. Casual wait staff attire lowers your standards.
Ollie was an amazing server. (He made an excellent mock-tail for a non drinking member of our party.) Upon arrival, we felt welcomed like old friends even though we'd never been there before. Every dish was delicious and the wine list was everything you'd expect from a downtown Napa restaurant. I recommend the short rib and for dessert, the bread pudding.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars for this establishment. The entire waitstaff was so incredibly kind and had such pride for their restaurant. Everything from the drinks, to the apps, to the meals and then espresso martini (server told us best in Napa according to google and he was right!) was outstanding. Wish we could transplant Carpenito down to Boston, because i would definitely frequent often!
