Our first visit to Celadon and it was wonderful. The courtyard and inside the restaurant are so welcoming and reminiscent of the historic building. The food was so good and a great wine list too! Ron and Leo took excellent care of us. We will be going back!

We went for Sunday brunch, there were brunch and lunch items on the menu. I had the chicken and waffe and it was definitely the best I've had and I have eaten out a lot over many years. The waffle was light and airy, the chicken, lemon and even the herbs were lightly battered and fried to a delicate crisp. it came with a very unusual maple syrup dipping sauce made smokey and spicy with chipotle. Definitely to be recommended. The other diners had an avocado benedict, biscuits and gravy and a shrimp salad, they looked adelicious and all were very pleased with there choices. Servings are generous. The courtyard where we ate is very attractive and the staff could not have been more attentive.

FOODS GONE DOWN HILL. Celadon used to be one of the best restaurants in Downtown Napa. We went there Saturday for my 60th birthday and what a disappointment. I ordered the New York steak and it was so tough it was hard to cut with a knife. I sent it back and they offered to make something else but I know my husband would have been done with his plate by the time I got mine. I didn't get my birthday dinner. I just shared some of his. We won't be going back anytime soon.
I haven't been here in years and I don't know why. Everything was tasty. The best and crispiest calamari I've ever had. My 3 friends enjoyed the food as well. We got the carpaccio, the lamb, the prawn salad and the special which was the halibut. We were all pleased. The staff was very nice and prompt. I will definitely be back sooner than later. We have had many nice meals at Celadon over the years. This time, the experience was mostly positive. It was marred by a waitress who knew nothing about wines, but did late me taste her recommendation, which was not to my liking. The major issue was a short rib that was almost all fat. Two other portions at the table were fine.

With reservation we were seated promptly. Server was tense or stressed, not relaxed and welcoming. Food was good. Bread tough maybe old? Patio got busy and noise level went way up. Service was clearly subpar. I tipped 25% hopefully improving attitudes?

You can go for comfort food (try Asian sticky ribs with fries or fusilli bolognese) or specials (salmon with butternut squash purée). The wine list provides a cross section of wines. You can also bring your favorite. I stir recommend this restaurant to friends as they visit Napa.

The brunch/lunch menu had something for everyone in our party of 8 ranging in age from 81 to 19. The patio is beautiful and we were delighted with the professional service and the delicious food. I would highly recommend Celadon.

The menu is small but with an excellent selection of food to choose from. I think a smaller menu allows for spot on food. We all enjoyed how delicious every dish was. The service was wonderful. The space is so cool. Would definitely go back.

Always an above average dining experience for weekend lunch/brunch. Shrimp salad entree and fusilli pasta entre were excellent and filling. Bread pudding also excellent dessert but would have benefited by slight warming.
