I took my wife here for her birthday to try something different than the usual Napa Valley fine dining experience. We got that and more. Full immersion into a cuisine we've never tried before which was exciting, gratifying, and yes, a little scary at times. We opted for the reserve pairing list to go with our meal and holy smokes... I highly recommend it! Each bite would set off a whole new bouquet of flavors from the pairings which made each bite and each sip a new experience unto itself. In short, it wasn't just a fine meal, it was an eye-opening adventure. It IS expensive. There's no denying that, but for a big occasion it's worth the splurge. And if you do opt to splurge, go all the way and get the wine/sake pairings too! (or if you're worried by the price and keen on sharing with your date, order one pairing and share. It's worth it!)

An amazing experience! The service was outstanding from the minute you walked in till the minute you left. The chefs were very thorough and no detail was spared. The food was beautifully plated! It was a quiet and inviting atmosphere.

Kenzo has a lovely space and excellent service. The food was good.... But not at the level that I was expecting from a Kaiseki experience at a restaurant that earned a Michelin star. Some dishes were delicious and beautifully presented and others were a little bland and not as carefully plated. Nothing was unacceptable but the experience was definitely a little uneven. An example is that green tea was served in chain store cups and had very little of the flavor of high quality sencha. It was a pleasant evening but ultimately pretty expensive for the overall experience.

What an elegant dining experience! Watching the chefs as they silently demonstrate their craft was inspiring. The food was fresh and innovative. You will truly have a culinary experience that will stretch your palette and your imagination. The staff was extremely attentive and responsive. (My GPS took me to the wrong location and the assistant GM came outside and walked up the street to direct me to exactly where I was supposed to be!) They clearly deliver for their patrons. Several of the reviews mention the price, they have a clear transparent pricing model available on their website. I would suggest that if that is a barrier that you contact the restaurant in advance for understanding. For me it was a treat that was worth it.

Underwhelming and significant disconnect between price and value. The total price advertised on website says all taxes and service included, yet they charge for service on top of agreed prepaid price.

One of my favorite spots for special occasions. It is a bit tough on the wallet ($75 corkage is obnoxious, please change to a more reasonable $30). Other than that, the food is spectacular. Fresh as fresh gets. Well proportioned. Impeccably paired courses. First rate service. Lower the corkage to the Napa standard and I will dine here much more frequently.

This was an exceptional dining experience from the moment I walked in the door thru the last course of the evening. Beyond the exceptional service, the variety and taste of every course was equally impressive. I cannot wait to go back again.

Our evening at Kenzo was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant was wonderfully simple and pleasantly quiet. Every bite of every dish was thoughtful, flavorful, and delicious. The premium wine and sake pairing was completely worth it - so many fun and luscious selections.Without question, the best part of the meal was that we had the privilege of being served by Tomonori, who we later learned is the General Manager. He was a joy. He explained each course in perfect detail and answered every question we could think of. He made us excited to try each new dish - which of course greatly enhanced each individual taste and the overall experience.Highly recommended. Will definitely return!

We had an exceptional experience at Kenzo. There was nothing left to be desired. The service was wonderful. We did not feel rushed. They were happy to accommodate some dietary restrictions as well. I would recommend Kenzo and would visit again.

We had the opportunity to sit by the sushi bar. The delicate work of the chef preparing the food was mesmerizing. Such control and precision. The food was beyond delicious.

So I was so disappointed, we're big Kenzo fans we love the wine, we bought bento boxes during the pandemic. And we've enjoyed the restaurant multiple times, but this time the food was good but it was not at the high level I expect. There was literally no Nigri or traditional sashimi, lots of wagu, maybe too much. The service was great and the wine and sake were tip top. We got a lot of tofu Petit fours and cooked bites not what I have come to expect.

Wonderful service and sake pairing to an exquisite menu. Every bite was packed with umami. Two of my favorite dishes out of the menu were Walnut tofu and Golden eye snapper owan. Every dish was carefully prepared with lovely presentation. We were super lucky to get last minute reservation as this place is always booked up way in advance. What a gem in Napa downtown area.

What a great experience, in every way! The food was creatively and beautifully prepared, and delicious. The wine and saki pairing was amazingly executed with great balance between food and drink, hitting flavor profiles very well. Finally, the service was educational, friendly, and very comfortable.
