O’Brien Estate Winery was an amazing experience! An embodiment of what Will Guidara is saying in his book “Unreasonable Hospitality”. Every interaction was positive and our host Chris was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. The estate is beautiful and the wines are beautifully unique. One of our favorite spots from our trip and we look forward to coming back.

Unfortunately our group was very disappointed in the tasting experience at Obrien. The guide couldn't seem to leave fast enough after pouring the wine and hardly gave us any information. The guide tried multiple times to get us to purchase the highest price bottled and when we asked for a small taste told us "no! You only taste what's on your tasting sheet." For $85 it's a complete rip off. You get 4 very small tasting pours and no option for trying anything else they have. After it was clear we wouldn't get to try anything else after our final pour our guide disappeared for 15+ minutes. We were the only party. We finished our wine and continued to wait but nothing. Since you pre pay for the tasting fees and dissatisfied with our experience we decided to leave. Our guide magically appeared when we were almost to our car and yelled that we "still needed to pay for our tasting". 1. When you book the reservation they make it very clear you have to pre pay for the tastings you are scheduling. 2. I of course still had the receipt and showed him. 3. That still wasn't good enough "evidence" and made me give him my number to search my account. After confirming the payment no apology or "thank you" was said by him. Just barely said "okay. Bye."' I will say the wine is decent, we enjoyed it and would have wanted to purchase a bottle but the experience was completely awful. I've been to over 15 wineries and this is by far the worst experience. Save your $85 and try a different winery. I'm sure you'll have a much better experience and get to try more for the price. I wish I could be writing a different review because I love supporting smaller family wineries but this was our experience.

Worst bottle of wine I ever (didn't) have. I have never seen a cork so dry and brittle - it crumbled into little pieces when I tried to open the bottle. I don't think it sealed properly either, because the inside of the bottle had some sort of dark crud residue. (I would upload pics if I could.)

Amazing staff..the Winery made the visit so personable ...the small details presented to us (won't share the details - you will see for yourself) truly made us feel like a guest in there home... We had the pleasure of having James as our Wine Educator..his enthusiasm and love of the Winery and his HIGH REGARDS to the Owner Bart and Barb made it soo enjoyable to hear someone talk about a passion of theirs.We literally decided NOT to go to any other Winery after this experience! Will definitely pass on this Gem!

We happened to pop in on a whim (found out they are reservation only, whoops!) but they were the absolute nicest people. They let us poke around and we were able to get a couple of their wines (membership required) I will DEFINITELY make a reservation to come back! If you are looking for a personal and inviting vineyard experience while in Napa, then you must book a tasting at O'Brien! My partner and I visited during a heat wave and they were very accommodating to make sure we were comfortable but still had an unforgettable experience by moving the tasting inside. Marilyn was truly better than we could have asked for. After a few tastings that weekend, she was the most delightful of the mix and gave us the best recommendations and stories. Make sure to check out all the lovely animals the O'Brien's have on site!

Just amazing. James was so personable and made this experience ?. If you want the true Napa experience, this is it. You’ll feel like you’re in the heart of Italy. The owners take a very boutique approach, and you feel like you’ve been personally invited to someone’s estate. The pairings were amazing and the seduction wine especially was delicious. Thank you for making our getaway that much better! Make your reservations ahead of time, the cost will be worth it!

We visited O’Briens on a bike tour of wineries in Napa. It wasn’t a winery that I had read about in any guidebooks or websites, and we went because it was convenient for the bike route. I’m so pleased we did, and it was the best experience we had at a winery. The surroundings were beautiful, the wine was excellent, and the staff were great. I can’t compliment Ben, who showed us around, enough. As well as being knowledgeable, he was friendly, and made the experience feel very personalised. He also didn’t judge us about the fact we knew nothing about wine. Thanks to the whole team, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Ok I have nothing but glowing things to say about this vineyard.1) the property is gorgeous. Situated around the vineyards and with mountain views it’s such a relaxing environment.2) the relaxing atmosphere. My friend and I did a wine tasting that was held outside with comfy chairs, blankets, heating lamp, and soft music. You got to take in the scenery while relaxing and sipping on wine.3) everyone was so friendly and so helpful. Attentive. Knowledgeable. Personable. Funny. Such a welcoming environment.4) all the wine were super delicious. Interesting mix of red wines. Highly recommend everyone to try the Seduction red!5/5 stars, highly recommend to visit on your trip to Napa
