“This is some of the best pizza in the Bay Area! The crust is amazingly delicious and the sauce is flavorful while the topping tastes and appears to be fresh. I grabbed a make my own pepperoni slice with some extra toppings while my bff had a small pizza. I would move to this area to eat Extreme Pizza every day cause I want to try all the interesting house specials but for now I'm content just driving over.“

“My friend recommended this place to me. The place is fairly simple and clean. You order at the counter. There are a few tables for you to dine in, but I find most people order to take out.I like the Simurgh kebab sandwich. The kebabs were delicious but what stood out for me was the Turkish bread. It's not like anything I've had before. It is grilled, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is probably my favorite sandwich bread now. They make them all from scratch.I've only been there twice, but it's a place I would return again.“

“been wanting to try this place for a while as i was intrigued by the veggie taco options! you order at a stand-like area and find a seat either in the front or back outdoor area. (if going on a colder evening, there are space heaters!) food is brought to you, but water and utensils are self-service, and you're expected to bus after yourself afterwards. i ordered the charred broccoli taco, mushroom mole coloradito taco, and barbacoa taco: charred broccoli taco (9/10): very much enjoyed this one and the flavors brought by the peanut-arbol salsa. i thought it was unique, delicious, and balanced. would've loved if the broccoli was a bit more charred. mushroom mole coloradito taco (2/10): would not order again. i personally didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce, and thought there was too much of it: had to scrape some off--that might be on me though for my lack of familiarity with mole coloradito. and there were barely any mushrooms? i had a few pieces of portobello and crimini mushrooms, and was extremely disappointed there were no oyster mushrooms as that had been the reason i ordered it (oyster should not be listed first in the menu description!) taco de barbacoa (5/10): very very generous with the amount of barbacoa on the taco, which i appreciated, but wish there were more onions and cilantro (maybe something pickled too) to cut the heaviness of it. oh yes..definitely needs something pickled!!! not specific to any one taco, but loved the tortilla! oh, and loved the touch of added purple radish pieces! if i came back, i would only re-order the broccoli taco (multiple of them); i'd also love to try the potato one (taco de papa) as my foodie friend said that was her favorite when she had gone. also, heads up, if you're sitting in front, that there are lime pieces in the back for self-service!“

“Quick meal the day before with little “brioche” stuffed with cheese and ham, experience repeated the next morning for breakfast. Coffees with its top almond milk variant, it's a change from the usual American coffees. Delicious coconut pastry. “Acai” bowl very good but I would have appreciated it being noted that it was a “smoothie sorbet”, not translated into English. Not ideal for the morning. The fruit salads served to the neighbor were tempting.Brazilian cuisine to try. Refined and tastefully decorated.“

“Quite literally the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area!! If you're lucky enough to enjoy some Fava, you're quite lucky indeed. The falafel is crispy and all the ingredients are sourced carefully and the resulting quality is phenomenal!Jeremy and his wife are amazing and the kindest business owners I have come across in Berkeley - they really put the love into the food they serve. My go to's are the Falafel Flatbread Sandwich, Escarole Salad With Blood Oranges, and the Mango Lassi to wash it down. The perfect lunch on Saturday 10/10 would recommend to a friend!Thank you FAVA for bringing such an amazing food staple to Berkeley“

“Went here to try the SF restaurant week menu. It has a very nice atmosphere and the food is presented well. I felt that the experience missed the mark a bit though considering the prices. The menu is authentic Mexican but the flavours were lacking. For example, in the hibiscus margarita, the hibiscus was soo diluted compared to one you would get at a nice restaurant in Mexico. And it was similar for the food… the flavours were lacking. The duck on the menu was nice but too salty, while the dessert was too sweet. Our specific server seemed inexperienced but other staff were very attentive. In summary, I was hoping for the flavours to better match what I get in Mexico.“

“Great vegetarian food. Fast service, aQuiet, wonderful feel, and great customer service. Food is very tasty. I've gone a total of 5 times within the last 3 months. I do not eat out much. But when I do, I like authentic food that feels like home. Shangri-La Vegan On Linden marks the spot.“

“Small wine bar in the heart of Russian Hill. Perfect spot for 2-3 people, since most of the seating is bar seating or communal tables. All the servers are knowledgeable about the wine selection and always have great recommendations. I love their orange wines and all the food is amazing. They make beautiful cheese plates and pair the cheeses perfectly with jams and honey. If you can't decide what cheeses to order, tell them what you like/dislike and they will curate the perfect board for you!“

“Please fix the squeaky fans because your space is so cozy and your food is stellar. I would order breakfast MORE often and sit down if I didn't have to hear the constant squeaky. Tip: they have kombucha on tap and it has just the right amount of caffeine.“

“Came on a Saturday evening, and there was a long line down the block. They only serve 1 type of pizza and 1 type of salad, and you decide how much you want of each. For the pizza, you can order per slice, half pie, or whole pie. You order at the front and then choose a seat if you're dining in. Since there's only one choice for everything, it all comes out right away when you order and pay. If you want anything specialized - gluten-free, vegan, etc then they tell you to go to counter to order first, then get in line to pay. Would recommend getting the green sauce as well for an extra delicious kick. They also have outdoor dog friendly dining. Delicious pizza, highly recommend.“

“GC gets docked a star for two reasons: 1) limited access because the line is so long (reservations are only taken for parties of 6+) and 2) the kung pao chicken is disappointing. As an institution, GC has been the best Chinese food in the area for decades. It was once so small you could shoot an arrow from the front door to the back wall. Its corner spot now on Oxford & Bancroft is massive in comparison, so now more people can wait to get in. The space is modern and bright, but the food is thankfully not fusion or fanciful. The food is exactly what it says on the door: Great China. From the plump (but crisped-skin) potstickers to the mu shu pork to the spicy green beans to the Peking duck, it is deliciously predictable. When I order ma po tofu, I know I'm going to get silken cubes of tofu in a thickened shiny spicy red sauce with ground pork in perfect proportion. Service is as friendly as Chinese gets and effortlessly efficient and fast. Parking sucks; it's downtown Berkeley, people. But if my San Fran friends long to come here, you know it's worth the hassle.“

“Hidden Cafe can try to hide, but I find it every time. I'm glad their employees don't hide, even though I do love playing hide & seek. I don't think I would enjoy it as much if the only way I could get my coffee from here is by finding the hidden employees at hidden cafe. Trying to find a barista to order coffee, before I've had coffee, sounds daunting. Although, it would make that cup of joe so much more rewarding. Honestly, if the employees did start hiding, I'd still go here. That's how good their coffee and carrot cake is and how confident I am in my seeking abilities. Luckily, this is something I haven't had to face. All the employees here are extremely friendly and very easy to find. I'm happy that Hidden Cafe is not good enough at hiding to the point where it would run itself out of business. I love going here!“

“Old school bakery. It’s advertised as gluten free bakery. I wouldn’t know the difference since I’m not allergic or anything. The taste was okay. Their cinnamon rolls were good, the cupcake was a bit sweet.Parking: It’s well known that parking around here is difficult. Parking lots are limited, so you have to drive around between public garages.Kid-friendliness: There are some kid’s pastries.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance“

“Mannnnnnnn these damn cupcakes. Not gonna lie, hands down best cupcakes I've had of anywhere and I've done them all. Magnolia in NY. Georgetown Cupcakes in DC. Sprinkles in NY. There's another famous one in Nashville. Done them all and this place is fire. The creativity of the combinations, paired with a moist cake and just sweet-enough, whipped to perfection icing, makes this a must stop. Thankful I don't live in Cali or I'd be in trouble!!!“

“This mac and cheese is perfect- PERFECT. When I'm not in the area, I cry. I got the cookbook for Christmas a couple of years ago and that can tide me over but of course, I'd rather it come from the OG. My absolute favorites are the pesto mac or pizza mac - both of which will rotate on and off the menu. A crunchy top is a necessity. I prefer the breadcrumbs but they have other options like hot Cheetos or chips too. Thank you for existing, Homeroom. ILY.“

“I've had the good fortune of bringing Acme treats to a few social gatherings this past week. Top notch service & baked goods each & every time. The two fellas at the front counter really hustle to keep that ever-present line moving briskly. But where is the tip jar for these magicians?!! Surely Acme could do this for their dedicated pros, and we customers are so accustomed to seeing one, it feels awkward to note its absence. [btw- the Acme pizza slab cut into bite sized pieces is a real crowd pleaser for happy hour occassions ] Word to the wise: everything available and barely a line between 8-830am. Now about that tip jar: hope to see it on my next visit!“

“Was looking for a birthday cake that wasn't too sweet and was recommended the chocolate raspberry cake. We let it come to room temperature before serving and it was absolutely delicious! Moist cake (very similar to a moist cupcake consistency), chocolatey and not too sweet (they use Swiss chocolate) coupled with bites of fresh raspberry buttercream-- Very happy we came upon this bakery and looking forward to visiting more often!“

“Love this place so much. My favorite cafe. They have so many yummy options so they're great for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Every drink I've tried has been delicious. And the employees are so nice, they usually remember my favorite orders and are always upbeat.Plus, if I don't hear them call my drink, or they can tell I'm working, they'll bring it to my table. Usually you have to go get the drink from the counter so I appreciate them taking the extra time when I'm distracted.Lots of outlets and different seating. Great for working or bringing friends. “The iced mocha here is sorcery. Tastes like straight smooth and rich chocolate milk, but it kept me wired for several hours lol. Respectably really strong. Overall wished that there was a distinct coffee to the mocha but I'm still a fan. Don't underestimate this coffee shop trailer! Chill and friendly staff. A few small tables right in front of the trailer but can enjoy your drink while perusing Flowerland Nursery here.“

“My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try to Chagaccino coffee, and this morning we came for that and a quick breakfast. We were greeted in a friendly manner, and we ordered the breakfast sandwich and the "All Aboard" avocado toast. When I realized I wanted to change my drink order after paying, it was not a problem. They call your name to grab your coffee like any coffee shop, but will deliver your food to the table. You do have to bus your own tables at the end. The coffee was fantastic, but that All Aboard avocado toast was something out of a dream with the most perfectly poached egg on top. They also give you a lemon wedge, which I highly recommend on any avocado toast. This was our first visit, but I will definitely be making this location a staple.“

“I like saucy pizza, which is why I like Heshers. We were first introduced to the pizza when we used to come to crooked city cider. Now heshers has taken over the whole building in a prime area of Jack London Square. We came at opening time, 12 PM on a rainy Saturday for a friends birthday. Because it is a rainy weekend we had to change our outdoor plans and this is a great location for a large group with dogs who can hang out indoors. Also great because you order at the counter and don't have to deal with a group check mess. We ordered our drinks at the counter, and some people who were able to try small tastings if they were unsure of what to order. Pizza was ordered at the window in the corner and brought out to us according to our numbers. The staff was accommodating to our large group, and we were the only ones there until a Meetup took over the other half of the restaurant with their boardgames. There are also tons of boardgames in the cabinet that you can play and pinball machines in their own separate area, along with the pool table. Great place to keep entertained while enjoying your pizza, beer, wine, cider, kombucha, or nonalcoholic beverage. There is a water station right behind the cashier. There are two unisex restrooms, straight back. They have the little locks that tell you if they are in use or vacant, which is very helpful. They also do some heavy metal concerts here, which my husband was very excited about when he saw the listings for them. While we were there, the music was not very loud so we were able to chat freely. There are metered parking, free parking streets, or it is a walk down from 12th St. BART. They used to have a free Broadway shuttle, I'm not sure if that's still exists Join their social media pages and you'll be informed of special events, concerts, trivia, bingo, and what not. Our vegan friend is very happy that they have a vegan pizza option here. There is something for everyone! You can help bus your tables by taking empty glasses to the front and the rest of the trash area. There are benches in the front that you can hang out at if it's a nice day out.“

The service is fine dining standard where bottles are presented and napkins folded when a guest is away from the table. The food is prepared with a dedication to quality as well, oysters were shucked perfectly, dishes all were extremely flavorful and tastefully presented.I will definitely be back, it's the type of restaurant that you can stop in for a satisfying snack or a whole meal.Thank you Southie employees for the memorable experience.“

“Fresh baked cookies with very unique cookie flavors (like funfetti & carrot cake). I did expect it to be cloying and super sweet, but it was nice. You could taste the ingredients and the ice cream was great without being "syrup-y". The staff was super friendly, but be warned that they do not always have all the flavors all the time. We waited for about 15 min because we wanted to try the funfetti cookie and some were just coming out of the oven. There were also a few ice cream flavors not in stock. You can take it on-the-go and walk around Fisherman's Wharf, or you can sit in a few picnic tables and chairs to eat it there. Worth a stop and better than the chain ice cream shops nearby.“
“My family stumbled upon this little cupcake shop in Berkeley while on a day trip. There is a good assortment of decadent cupcakes to be had. “I had some time to kill in Oakland and was looking for a quick bite. This came up on my search for taquerias nearby. I had a super vegi burrito bowl and couldn't have been more pleased!
