“Do you want authentic, made to order pupusas? Then look no further!! I love watching the cooks prepare my pupusas while anticipating the moment I get to divulge in their hot, fresh deliciousness! Just be careful not to burn your tongue when you do! The curtido is always fresh and oh so delicious, I could eat it as a side dish alone it's so good!! They have a tomato salsa they serve with the pupusas which is delicious, but the spicy sauce they give you with the chips is where it's at, if you can handle the heat that is!! It is a small space, so be prepared for limited seating or to take them to go, but either way, you will not be disappointed!“

“This a great restaurant except the service! They just need more waitresses, we are literally waiting a while, when the food arrives it arrives at different times meanwhile mine is there the plate for my husband takes 15mins to arrive after! It’s just not polite to eat without my husband. I had to cancel my toddler order because we had finished eating and his plate was still coming. Overall good is delicious they just need to step it up with the service.“

“If you are looking for great authentic Salvadorian food like the kind you had from your auntie/Tia's house or your Mama who learned from your Grandmother's cooking skills, this is it; they have plenty of antojitos/ cravings to choose from. The food is always tasty; it's cooked to order; it usually takes about 20-30 minutes for the Ladies/cooks to prepare it for you, so call ahead or be patient. I like to order their soups chicken, beef, or sopa de Pata soup depending on what I'm craving; their portions are enough to share with three handmade corn tortillas pint of rice. Its location is not the best; however, if the food is excellent, I am there regardless of its location I'll add more pictures later“

“I am Salvadoran. I had the hongos pupusa, the chicken pupusa, the yuca con chicharrones. Every bite was an adventure. The Salvadoran dishes are made so creatively. Flavors stayed on your tongue as the sauce of la yuca. The drinks exceptional good. I had the mango verde cocktail….so rico. It was like eating Salvadoran food on fine china.“

“Some of the best food and service I’ve had at any restaurant in Berkeley. The restaurant was closing, and the employees still decided to let me and my family in (we were a party of 14.) They were all very friendly and my whole family loved the food.“

“If you’re looking for a meal that feels like “homemade”, this is a great place to satisfy your craving. Staff seems energetic, polite and respectful, and they even ask if you’re allergic to any of the ingredients on the food you ask for which is not very common, that way they put your health first. Prices are reasonable and the taste is great. When you’re done eating your main meal, you can get some pastries right there as well and they’re worth it.“

“I missed my train and needed to grab a bite to eat near Amtrak. This is one of the most incredible things I've ever eaten. It's right across the street. Staff was super friendly. I had a pork and a chicken pupusa and they were fantastic. Hope I miss my train again soon.“
