“I must confess, this place has become quite an addiction for me! The donuts here have a unique texture that's somewhat chewier than your typical donut, yet in the most delightful way. They offer an impressive variety, and it's exciting to see their menu evolve with new additions frequently. Every visit brings the anticipation of trying something novel, and so far, I've never been let down. We often indulge in a mixed selection of six to enjoy at home. The only slight drawback? The prices are a tad high. While this hasn't deterred us from returning, it does mean we can't visit as often as we'd like. Despite that, it's a solid four stars from me!“

“This place beats the Pinole KFC. This place has never screwed up my food, asked me to move my car to a spot so they can fake their drive thru times. At the San Leandro location, no issues. @Pinole, tell your store manager/DM to figure out why they suck.“

“Top Dog is absolutely the one of the top sausage/hot dog places I've been to. As a New Yorker, it's been Nathan's, those Papaya places (Gray's, Papaya Dog, and Papaya King,) and of yesteryear Nedick's. In college, I'd go to any time of day or night to Pittsburgh's Original (a.k.a. Dirty O's) in Oakland (PA) to get a chili cheese dog and a boat of fries. Certainly, Top Dog is the type of place college kids flock to, but if you're in Berkeley you don't need to be collage age to stop by this exceptional hole in the wall Top Dog for experiencing a fantastic "frankfurter" or one of their many types of sausage! WOW! Fair prices and served on a crusty French roll, Top Dog's sausages come in their classic 100% beef Frankfurter, Garlic (beef & pork), Hot Link (Louisiana style beef with 4 kinds of pepper), Smoked chicken apple, Italian Calabrese, Polish Kielbasa, German Bockwurst or Bratwurst, Lemon Chicken, Spicy Mango, or the Wienie (vegetarian). The toppings shelves provide complementary onions, relish, sauerkraut, ketchup and assorted mustards. Chili topping is extra and sold as a side. Top Dog sells also potato salad, but you can't get fries. (Hey, another dog would be a great substitute for a large fries!) I wanted to try their classic Top Dog Frankfurter and Bratwurst. So glad I did! They all grill right in front of you. Added kraut, onions, and mustard on both (Sweet mustard on the bratwurst.) The roll was fresh and crusty. Both delicious sausages snapped like they should! The flavors - amazin'! [Note - No seating. Only a tiny ledge and a nominal counter that I imagine always, as then, were obstructed by people waiting.] Top Dog is awesome! Wish I had one in NYC! Yeah, we have Nathan's and those different Papaya guys, but fuggetaboutit! I'd like a Top Dog! (Btw, a location of Artichoke Basille's Pizza, originally from our East Village, is next to it, but I find their slices are really geared for tourists and non-native New Yorkers. When in NYC, just go to Joe's! See my review.) From my understanding, Top Dog's owners are old and uncertain of its future beyond them, so make sure you enjoy this amazing while you can! Long live Top Dog!“

“been coming here since thr late 70s some of the women have been working here for a ver long time. all the newer employees at both Hayward locations are always very friendly and the dog ate always on point. Rarely go to the Kaspers. it cant hold a candle to Caspers. always go with th CASPERSWheelchair accessibility: two large tables set aside for wheelchair access and a ramp to the door“

“Food was good. Not my first time and definitely not my last . There's quite a variety of items on their menu to choose from. If you're hungry and you want breakfast it's a go to spot. I never order anything other than breakfast from there. They do have lunch items on their menu as well.“

“My son and I came here two times during our visit to catch some baseball in San Fran and Oakland. Don't let the area distract you. It is heavy industrial and is fairly safe and the food here is exceptional and some of the best tacos I have ever had. For 10 to 12 bucks a person you walk out of here very full and can't complain a bit.“

“I was up on Telegraph with Paeekaa Haackootkoo lookin for his son in law because he forgot to take his medication. I wouldn't normally go to this extreme but the dudes an albino and if he doesn't medicate each day he'll turn just as pink as Pepto Bismol from the sun. Ohh... a Casper's ...I think I'll go on and get a couple of chili dogs, all this walking around made me hungry, and Casper's puts out the best dogs in the world! The last time this little pipsqueek forgot his meds he was in Tijuana and when he turned Pepto Bismol pink the Mexican police jailed him because they thought he was from outer space, they even called NASA to come get him. Casper's sure makes great chili dogs 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Stopped by midweek and this place did not disappoint. Easy ordering via phone, prompt service, and delicious food. We got the Blue Heat 50/50 style and the Ramen 50/50 plus a strawberry boba. Both hot dogs were perfect with the right amount of cheese pull and loaded with flavor. We also got the Sriracha mayo which I highly recommend. Boba with fantastic; not too sweet with good flavor and the right amount of chew texture.“

“Had the Mac N Chz Winky Dinky w/ Beef Hot Link after asking the gentleman at the register what his favorite thing to eat was. Large helping of delicious creamy (not too creamy tho!) Mac N Cheese heaped on top. Had to use fork and knife. Been eyeing this spot for a while. Do not regret coming here. Will come back for sure. Ate at Roy's next door w/ a cold beer ??“

“I was going through food photos and I legit took a photo of my Wienerschnitzel meal of a chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries because I was so thankful to eat this gloriously messy fast food. So here I am. Confessing that this is what makes me human.“
“Awesome every time! Love when I see this truck by Gilman brewing....or other spots“

“Excellent example of when not to judge a book by its cover. It's under new ownership just as of recently, however, they appear to be keeping true to the legacy of the location with full respect to the classic name that is HegenBurger. A juicy 1/3 burger with cheese combo will run you $15 and it comes with a generous portion of fries and a small (16-20oz?) fountain drink. It's worth the wait, so if you don't have 10-15mins to wait then plan ahead and call it in to lessen your wait or simply go another time. They dress their burgers perfectly, just enough condiments to achieve balanced flavor yet just shy of too much. Veggie toppings were fresh and even the tomatoes were vibrant red.“

“Not from the area, but I was catering to a business down the street and my lunch time was creeping up. Went on Yelp to see food places around the area and Rocky's Hot Dog Stand was an option that popped up. Can't ever go wrong with a quick grab and go. Simple stand with a lot of different options! This is not like your Average stadium hotdogs that's small and overpriced. This is a bang for your buck. Gurthy 12" hotdog, bag of chip and a can of soda for $7! And he accepts card which is a plus!! Really recommend stopping by if you're in need of a quick grab and go or if you just want to grab a dog.“
